As late night arrivals to Lusk, it was not easy to determine the best way to find a good quality meal with real food, and we decided to try the Pizza Place, figuring they might have good salads. Not only are their salads excellent, but the overal menu selection is impressive, and they have a decent bar with good beer selection too. It was mildly confusing to figure out they're service system - deciding and pre-ordering at the counter, and then waiting for delivery to your chosen table - but the system does work once you integrate with it. The service was friendly and helpful, with great local advice.

A special experience. I note that I am from Europe and that is the cradle of gastronomy. After sitting in the restaurant, no one noticed us, let alone said hello, for 20 minutes. I then dared to ask politely at the cashier where I could order. I was told that I should wait for the staff😂, so I preferred to order at the cash register. I ordered two pizzas and chicken wings as an appetizer. After that, I went to the table and waited with my friend. After another 20 minutes of waiting, I watched the guests bring their own cutlery, plates and drinks to the table - an absolute shock. I also saw a wandering person - probably a waiter who was delivering orders to the table. With each pizza, he went around the restaurant and asked the guests whose order belonged to whom. I already knew what was waiting for me. My friend's pizza arrived at our table first, but not mine. The waiter then asked if that was all. We assured him that it wasn't😂 After another 5 minutes, the second pizza arrived. We asked with concern where the appetizer was - chicken wings. The waiter was already in shock and ran away from the table. Subsequently, his colleague came within 2 minutes and brought the appetizer. The end of the first chapter and now to the food itself - Pizza Hawaii better average, pizza cheesburger - it is still in the trunk of our car and we are taking it to Colorado, where we will secretly bury it in a very abandoned place😅 And the best part, finally, the chicken wings - hastily thrown into the fryer, taken out of the fryer very quickly - probably because of our wait. Just inedible. If you want a better use of $50, donate it to charity.

I came from out of town and did not expect much. They were very busy on a Tuesday evening. I ordered the house special, hand tossed. It was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Everyone was super friendly and I totally enjoyed my meal with 2 beers for a very reasonable price.

Coming from New Jersey, I thought the pizza here would be unbearable but there were limited options in the area. Turns out it was actually pretty tasty. Would recommend the deep dish, which is loaded with cheese. Service is just super slow- definitely order at least 30 minutes ahead of time if taking out, because otherwise you will have to wait.
We came as a group from part of the International Pathfinder Camporee 2024 "Believe the Promise" and there was excellent service and nice character trait

East coast pizza snob here; this place makes a darn good pie. A really good pie. This is the kind of place that when you take out of town family and friends there, they have a nice little memory. I also know how my family tends to be, they specifically want a place with good food and a special vibe. This place has that hidden gem kind of vibe. I wouldn't at all call this place "hipstery", but if you bring hipsters here, they will fall in love with the authenticity of the place and how they are just marching to the beat of their own drum while churning out some good food.
The deep dish pies are great but the standard round ones are great as well. I really like their crust and I wouldn't call their sauce overbearing like I have had at some places. They seem to have other stuff like sandwiches and such, its a bit bigger of a menu than a casual passerby might suspect on first glance. Calzones are pretty darn good as well. The biggest issue here is wait times at times but I'm fine with that because the food is great and it really does have a unique ambiance.
It would be one thing if it was just that the food is good (as so many hidden gem places can be), its another to just have a really unique air about your place to boot, and that's a grand slam here. They have tables, booths (which are a bit higher than usual and just makes for something different) and they have a bar portion as well (i think it has some screens for the sports fans that like to grab a beer and watch events - I might have to come catch one of the World Series games at the Pizza Place this year ?).
TL;DR -If you are in Lusk and need some vittles, definitely worth a visit and you'll drive off with a smile on your face at this unique little gem in the West.

Amazing find on our way home from vacation!!!! We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, a small cheese pizza, a big Italian salad, cheese garlic bread and chocolate chip pizza and if I was grading this place gets a 120% A+++!!! Stop and get you some amazing food!
Kid-friendliness: They had this big paper and massive container of colored pencils and crayons for our kid to color on! Great for her after traveling for 7 hours.
