Really wanted to like this place because of the epic location. However, the service was absolutely terrible. I think there were two bus boys, two bartenders, one waiter, and the manager working tonight (7/11/25). The waiter took forever to get to our table and take the order, not really his fault as it appeared he was waiting on the entire place. The manager, white guy with tattoos, seemed to be hanging out with guests at the bar instead of worrying about his restaurant circling the drain. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese and was enjoying it until a boiling hot cherry tomato exploded in her mouth causing a worse than normal burn to her tongue and roof of her mouth. The waiter or manager never stopped by to check how our food was or refill the waters. Once we flagged down the waiter we informed him about the burn. He apologized, but that was it. We weren’t expecting anything but the offer would have been nice. We had to get a cup of ice from the neighboring restaurant. My daughter has been sucking on ice for the last hour, hopefully the pain stops before bed. Besides that the food was decent. My wife ordered a cocktail which sat on the bar for about 16min after it was made before the bar tender had to deliver it to us.
We had drinks on the patio during our trip. Our server was so friendly and provided excellent service. The views of the Tetons are breathtaking. Highly recommended!!
Great view, great food, great service, and great drinks. Doesn’t get much better than this! I highly recommend the grilled cheese and the lupine meadows.
Honestly the 30% saying it’s bad on here are fools! This is absolutely the best view to eat lunch, dinner etc. The blue Herion Lounge has the best burger and drinks! Highly recommend this place 1,000%
Great place to view Jackson Lake. Sit outside and have a drink. The food was decent, but there were not many choices.
Located within Jackson Lake Lodge, this bar has amazing views. We didn't order food. Our server was great!
Decent cocktails and sub-par food with incredibly slow service. We were waiting for our server to come back around to order our entrees when the staff began removing the menus from the tables because the dinner service had ended. I had to flag down a random server to make the order just in time, despite having been waiting for an hour already.
Our server also never brought us water or utensils until after our entrees had arrived and we flagged him down again.
Overall an unenjoyable experience. It's a shame because the view is spectacular.
Best lamb burger I’ve ever had in my life by far. The music, the ambience, the scenic views through the glass walls, and Alexa the kind friendly knowledgeable bartender. 5⭐️
We came multiple nights in a row for during our camping trip in august for some end of day drinks with a view! The view can not be beat! The drinks were good and we enjoyed the onion dip to snack one!

You can not get a better place to dine and view the Grand Teton mountain range! The burgers and fries were great and we ate outside and enjoyed the view. The service was slow but I think they were short-handed the times we ate.

The food is decent, the cocktails tasty, and the service friendly -- but, clearly, the selling point for the Blue Heron is its magnificent views of the Grand Teton range, and sell it they do (dearly).
Would I go back again? For that view? Sure!
Parking: Parking is the free lot for the main lodge -- which was pretty crowded when we arrived. Still, were able to find a place.

I see a lot of not so good reviews on here, but I have to say we had a very good experience. First off, we barely got ourselves seated and a wonderful server was already there with water and asked about our drink order. When we ordered our lunch it took a few extra minutes but we absolutely did not care whatsoever because of the incredible views! When our wonderful server came with entrees, she immediately said she would be right back with refills of our beverages. My wife had Burrata and tomatoes and I had the yard bird sandwich. Both were fantastic! The bill was slightly pricey but you're in Jackson, Grand Teton park. Furthermore, you get what you pay for and in my opinion, this was one of the greatest dining experiences we've ever had.
It will be a very long time before we ever get back there, but it will NEVER be forgotten! Thank you Blue Heron for an amazing unforgettable experience!

Bad food very overpriced;
We paid $19 for a plain and bad hamburger served with bad potato chips. That's quite outrageous.
The table outside on the terrace was nice (wonderful view of the mountains).
The service went like this.
Better go eat somewhere else, there are good alternatives!

I was disappointed with my recent visit to Blue Heron. I ordered a bison burger to go, hoping to enjoy the lovely view outside. However, the staff, particularly a bald gentleman, did not allow me to eat outside. It was frustrating and put a damper on what could have been a pleasant experience.
The restaurant has potential, but this policy needs re-evaluation to accommodate guests better.

The food here is horrendous. Just stick with the cocktails and the views. We got the chicken and the bison and both were extremely overcooked and meager portions. Got no compensation even though it was practically inedible.
