Where to begin? First off, you have to go to the bar to order. You shouldn't have to when you're the only table there. Bartender didnt seem too interested in being there. Then, they add 20% gratuity with no signage anywhere about. Guess that's the only way they would get a tip it seems. Got a pop and didn't even get ice. Barely any chicken in the wrap. So glad this will be the only time we're ever in that area. I'd rather eat hay with the horses. Go anywhere else but here!
Awful restaurant, definitely avoid it! The food is hugely overpriced, tasteless, and tiny portions. They were out of most of the items on the menu (no chicken and no buffalo meat), and they even charge for water. We've been travelling round the area for over a week and though lots of places are more expensive than they would be elsewhere, the food has been good and the atmosphere enjoyable so I haven't begrudged them. This is the only place that I resented for the inflated prices ($10 for a can of beer! $25 for the worst burger you'll eat. $3 for tap water). They also add a 20% tip automatically, so DO NOT tip extra. They hide this, probably so they hope most people add extra tip. The level of service also isn't worth 20%.
Also especially avoid if you are vegetarian, there are no options.
overpriced place with auto gratuity for servers who don’t serve you. You walk up to order and pay there. 10 dollars for a side of hashbrowns?? they also don’t give you cups of water.
One of the most remarkable experiences I’ve ever had in the US, and not in a positive sense. Without notification you have to pay before you get your food and a 20% charge is added (without mention), so that all staf make a ‘living wage’. When you expect that charge to be repaid with good food and service you’d be wrong though. For one small salad and some fries you pay $37! Would recommend spending your money elsewhere. Only the view is nice.
It really needs cleaned up and so does the cook and bartender/waiter. The restaurant smelled horrible. They were out of everything. Do not recommend this restaurant.
Nestled in Buffalo Valley Cafe, you’ll find a warm and inviting space with friendly folks who are always ready to lend a hand. The food, particularly the lunch choices, is simply divine. If you’re seeking a laid-back dining experience with a touch of rustic charm, this is the place for you!

Absolutely awful treatment by the staff, told us we can sit down but can only cook fried food and half an hour later told us that in fact they won't have time to cook anything at all and told us to leave. Will not come back.

If you want a dry burger with burnt bacon and cheese, this is your place. They will charge you $18 and add a 20% tip without asking and they will also ask for a tip. The waiter is not very friendly. They charge you $3 for water. It didn't occur to us to return.

The view was the only positive part of visiting this 'cafe'.
The pricing is ridiculous in general, higher than in Jackson Hole and international airports - but especially compared to the quality and service.
And that was not all, additional fee was added. I think it is illegal to add tip to final amount without communicating it beforehand. At least it should be communicated and mentioned as 'service fee' in legal terms in the receipt. Tip in legal terms is always optional. I do not mind giving tip, vice versa - but there was absolutely no service to tip for. The staff did not even do the bare minimum like noticing and greeting us as customers. The amount was paid beforehand and you needed to do everything by yourself.
The same atmosphere started actually already in check-in the day before to the ranch. Rude and ignorant behaviour then and continued also in check-out.
This was the first night of our long road trip of several national parks in USA - and luckily it was clearly the worst; all the rest of the numerous cafes and restaurants we visited during our trip ranged from good to excellent with reasonable price levels and clear tipping policies.

Terrible and low quality food, non-existent service but despite this a 20% free car is charged. For the first time we were asked 3 dollars for water. Despite this, at the time of payment you will also be asked/suggested for tips. Stupid me for reading later and leaving another 18%. Stay away from this place! $70 for 2 burgers and a can of beer. No glasses, cutlery or napkins. I strongly advise against it!

This place has a waiter who has no education towards the customer. He does not respond to what is asked and collects tips without prior consultation with the customers (when really it would be the waiter who should have given me the tip since he did not even serve us and his work leaves much to be desired). The last straw was that they wanted to charge us almost $12 for three glasses of water when everywhere in the US they give it for free.
A shame because the place is very well decorated, but it is a scam to get money from tourists. Unpresentable.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE ONLY PLACE IF YOU STAY AT HEART SIX RANCH.

The food is okay, even though 2 biscuit muffin with gravy is $18. I get it cuz it’s far away from the city and in a ranch. However, they tried to charge me 5 dollars for a to-go box. Yes, 5 dollars for a box!
