I've been here multiple times. This time a few things were off: the bacon appetizer was overcooked. Server informed us she'd tell the manager. The manager came over and said: thank you so much for telling me, we really want to know when things aren't good enough. We thought, what a great principle. So our entrees came out and my husband's pork chop looked super raw and felt cold. So we brought it up to our server. She talked to her manager who, I'm assuming, decided that she wasn't coming over and told the waitress to relay “that's how all the medium pork chops look.” It was disgustingly undercooked, and could have severely hurt someone who consumed it. Problems were obviously the food being undercooked, but also sending this mix message of “wanting to take care of the consumer” yet not. Won't be back sadly.

We had a delicious dinner, we were able to sit at a hightop in the bar, which was lovely. The menu was interesting, and there were quite a few things that we definitely would come back for. We were able to meet the chef, who was informative and gracious. Our server, Alex was charming. Not enough room for dessert, but it looked amazing!
We loved our meal at Open Range. The service was fantastic - thank you Alex. I enjoyed the chef's recommendation of Elk. I never had it before and it was delicious. So happy I tried something new! I was very thirsty for water due to a long day outdoors. The hostess refilled my glass 4 times without even asking. Overall a wonderful experience!
We came here for a rare meal out for my husband's birthday. We were able to be seated according to my requests. The setting was super cozy and clean! We were waited upon immediately! I can tell our server cared about her job and her customers. The food was wonderful. The chef knows what he's doing! He even came by to check on our dinner. The meal was pretty expensive, but I think it was worth it for the quality of food and service. We even got a complimentary birthday dessert. Great job, Open range! We'll be back!
Lovely setting but loud with many guests. Upon arrival very few seated guests, many servers walking around looking busy which also made eye contact with us but never approached to table to greet and take order. Food very overpriced for serving size.

Open Range is just getting started on serving brunches, and they did a lot of things well, friendly wait staff, greeted warmly upon checkin and service was very good. We had a young woman who was just on her third day working there, very nice and good service. But we noted the coffee wasn't really hot, sorta lukewarm? And the beef filet, though wonderfully tender, was cold, as were some of the offerings in the serving dishes? They did offer a nice salad bar, and fresh omelet station with all the fixings. The dessert table had some nice offerings, orange cake with raspberry filling was excellent.

The hostess was rude, the shrimp skewer was cold and dry, the sirloin steak had a bad flavor, asked twice to have my water glass refilled and it never happened. Very disappointing.

The ambience, the food, the service I'm not sure which one was better! The attention to detail was over the top! The staff was outstanding and our waitress was superb. The chef came to my table more than once to assure my meal was perfect. It was!
Seldom have I had a better meal and experience than I did at Open Range. I recommend this restaurant with every fibre of my being. When we booked the reservation, they had a certain menu item; upon arrival they didn't have it on the menu, but still accommodated our request for that meal.
My personal thanks to our server Crystal, the assistant server Savannah, and especially to Chef Jeremiah.
Always return for the meal and the ambience. I am moving states away in short order, and I will be sure to return to Open Range when I come back to Wyoming.

We celebrated my husbands 65th birthday at Open Range Bar and Grill. We could not have chosen a better place, everything was perfect! Manny, our waiter was phenomenal, he helped to make our birthday celebration very special! The dinner was exceptional (rack of elk-see photo); in addition, the chef made the rounds to all the tables after each table finished, adding a nice touch. The ambiance of the dining room had a ton of ‘period' character (see photo). The restaurant is located in the Sheridan inn from the late 1800s. The inn is beautifully restored and well maintained. Entire staff of hotel also very friendly. We will return again next year for the Sheridan leatherwork trade show. Open range will definitely be a part of that visit!! Thanks everyone:)

We had a chance to experience the new Open Range bar & grill at the Historic Sheridan Inn. It was the best ribeye I’ve had in a long time. The shrimp cocktail was the best we’ve EVERY had. Sides we huge and the dessert of raspberry vanilla crème brûlée was top notch. The service was exactly what you would expect for this level of restaurant. Server was awesome and the Chef actually brought our food and cleared our main course to make sure it was to our liking. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the Rocky Mountain leather trade show.

Outstanding service. Husband had the bison ribs and said they were some of the best he's ever had. I had the special, which was good, not amazing. The star of the show was a beautiful pink mocktail that the bartender threw together for me. It was SO pretty, and delicious! Overall, Open Range is a fantastic addition to our Sheridan dining options.
