Food was decent enough, service was OK, so why the 4, possibly should have been 3, stars? They sat us in the patio and there was a fly trap right next to our table. Our table was right next to a fly attractant. If you eat here, and it is a great option in town, watch where they sit you.

We've loved the Pony for years but this visit will be our last. Hostess wasn't happy about clearing a table to sit outside. 10 upen tables on the deck. Bartender/server took drink order but we had to chase her down later while she chatted with a friend to get our drinks. Again, not crowded. Quessidilla had virtually no flavor and this used to be a favorite of ours. Walleye was almost inedible. What happened to this great bar/restaurant? Really disappointed.

If I described the Pony in one word, it is adequate. I have no major complaints, but nothing to rave about. The service is polite and friendly, but scripted at times. I believe they do tip share, so service seems impersonal. Bar drinks are...adequate. It seems a couple people actually know their way around a bar, but I have never witnessed a dedicated bartender. I usually get a barrage of different employees checking on me and don't know my server is. I rarely experience an attempt to make connection with me as a customer
Food is...adequate. I have had some menu items that do stand out to me. I enjoy the daily specials. The options are versions of classic suburban American meals and bar foods. The atmoshere is usually bustling, pleasant, and they have enclosed outdoor patio seating.
If you are going out with a group, this is a good option, and they are one of the few places open on a monday night in the area. I will keep coming here because it is convenient and reasonably priced. With all this said, I might expect a different experience than some customers. As a bachelor working a lot and rarely home to cook for myself, I tend to eat out alone a lot. I like to talk to people, make friends and have conversations that surpass small talk. Opportunities for social life are very limited, so I rely on lunch and dinner to socialize. To me, when I sit at a bar, I want to be a little entertained. Make me feel like you know me, or want to know me. Make me feel like family and give me a good reason to come back.

I met some coworkers here for lunch. The food was great we had the special Ranch beef sandwich and the tacos both were great but the best was having Gina as our server! She knows the menu, she is great at her job and tells us she loves it! It’s a busy week in Sheridan w the Rodeo, but the food & service was great we really enjoyed ourselves. Keep Gina around for many more years!
