August 5-9, 2025. Two couples stayed in the Chalet for 4 nights for a 3/12 day ATV trip. Sara and Angela were extremely accommodating and fun to interact with. They are a bit short handed so they worked their butts off and still maintained great personalities. The service in the restaurant was a bit slow but the food was good but we just rolled with it and enjoyed the atmosphere, some local personalities and visits with other diners. The food was good. The Chalet was great for the four of us. It needs a little work but I'd come back here in a heartbeat! Sara and her family bought the resort in early 2023 and are working hard to bring it back. Ignore posts prior to spring of 2023. The mountains are beautiful and the trails were pretty good, typical for the Bighorns.

Pictures are not the same.... yeah a little but not accurate. Only good for a short visit. Don't come here if you like civilization. Seemed like they serve and pay attention more to the local hills have eyes ppl than they do to newcomers. Didn't try the food but didn't smell to great....kitchen isn't in good condition. The old guy who offered us waters was super nice and said the owners are amazing he should run the place in my opinion. Told the lady we were there for interviews but she should of at least offered us to sit down and check out the menu. But ended up eating at the meadowlark resort. Super good food.

We went up for a drive they advertised a buffet but the delivery truck didn’t deliver. We ate off the menu 2 of our party had the prime rib and two of us had pan fried walleye. Excellent food and outstanding service from the cook and all the staff! Thank you we will be back :)

We stayed here for a snowmobiling trip. Snow was great. The riding was a ton of fun. Wyatt and Roberto where awesome hosts. Rooms where very comfortable. The entire property was clean and well kept. Food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back.

09/22 Had two of the best meals-New York Strip and Giant Home Made Breaded Shrimp-we’ve had in the Worland/Ten Sleep area for 50 years! Locally grown and processed beef, homemade fries, well prepared vegetables, attractive salads. SO GREAT to have Deer Haven open again! Good luck!! We will be back. Chuck and Sherrie Glade, Worland

The restaurant is a great place to dine in for lunch or dinner. Great people that are always smiling and are happy to help.
We frequent the area often. We were very excited to come visit with the new ownership as we loved the old establishment. I was pretty disappointed in our experience. It was quiet with no atmoshpehere. It wasn't busy at the time we went in. We just had drinks at the bar, didn't eat. They told us they don't serve bloody Mary's, even tho it was on there menu. We eneded up getting a bloody, but it was not good at all. No spice or any kind of garnishment at all. They offered pickles, which was just pickle chips for a sandwich. There was not very good customer relations from the staff. It was a dull experience, and def pricy. Over $30 for a few beers.

Deer Haven Lodge & Restaurant is under new owner & Management & the family is making great improvements to their property. We ate there twice while camping & were welcomed by Sara & Eric. The food was fabulous that was prepared by Chef Roberto. They have a nice variety on their menu & their Walleye was amazing along with specials. Deer Haven also serves Breakfast & all menu items are made fresh.
Give Deer Haven a try. You will not be disappointed.

Deer Haven Lodge is closed due to issue with sanitation. Lodge was closed and cannot reopen until septic issues have been corrected. This is common knowledge in mountain community.
