This was a very nice cafe. The coffee was flowing and the chicken fried steak breakfast was exceptional. I usually can't finish all my meals but easily put this one away. Do yourself a favor and stop here for delicious food.

Service was casual/friendly, varied menu options. We chose to share a cinnamon bun which was huge, soft on the outside but hard in the centre. Coffee was ok but nothing special

Wonderful local diner with delicious breakfasts and outdoor seating if you want it. Portions are very big and service is attentive and friendly. I had a basic breakfast and it tasted great. They had yummy rye bread and look at the cool way they fold it in my pic. It's a nice touch that shows they aren't just throwing hash, they really care about their food and customers. I'll definitely be back.

Driving through the area, saw this place show up on Google maps. I didn't know they closed at 2pm, and might have walked in at 1:45pm with a party of 7. No one complained, no one was rude to us for coming in so close to closing time. The food was some of the best I have ever had (cowboy omelet). Everyone enjoyed their food and they even did a Happy Birthday song for me since it was my birthday. Thank you to everyone who works at the Black Bear Cafe for such a great experience!

Brianna was an excellent sever, she got our orders just the way we asked. It was very busy.
Stopped in for breakfast. Had the protein omelette. Meal was delicious. Worth stopping by. Come for breakfast or early lunch, they close at 2pm.
Came back Sunday morning for breakfast and coffee. Another delicious meal. More than I could finish.

I got breakfast for lunch. I usually don't like house potatoes but there's was excellent. Corned beef hash was fine, pancakes are huge with delicious compote and 2 syrup flavors.

I was in town for reunion weekend, and came out for breakfast with a large group of family (including many small children). The young man who waited on us was top notch. I can honestly say this was the best service I have had at a restaurant in years. Our server was genuinely kind and patient with our wild group. The food was fast and delicious with huge portions. What a gem of a restaurant in Thermopolis!
