I ordered the chicken fried steak with country gravy and swapped the potato for extra mixed veggies. Overall, it felt like a comforting home-cooked meal. The breading was crispy, well-seasoned, and the meat was tender and juicy. The country gravy was thick and buttery, though it could’ve used a little more seasoning. Just an average meal, nothing fancy. $45 plus tip for a 1/2lb. burger meal, and a chicken breast meal with two salad bars, one beer.

I came in near closing. Staff were friendly and made small talk as there few people there. The steak was a little tough but flavor and temp (med rare to med) were perfect I didn't want to complain. I will eat there anytime I happen to wander into Torrington again.
