We came upon this gem while passing through the town. After spending the past 2 days driving, this is exactly what we needed! Initially we intended to order some food for takeout, but it was so welcoming and we were invited in (even though we were traveling with our dog). I had the best beer that I've ever had (I think it was called Doc Holliday). Our service and food was phenomenal! We ordered the curly fries (so fresh and delicious), the Mexican Pizza, and the Fry Bread...
Stopped in for lunch today and shortly after, a group of 40+ people showed up without reservations. The staff did a great job juggling all the tables and taking care of everyone, including us. Open Barrel did a fabulous job! Plus their homemade pizza and root beer (brewed on site) is top notch too!

The shandy was the best but maybe only because I think of shandys as light and refreshing
The vibe and service seems great especially for locals and regulars so I am glad they have a nice local gathering place with good food here in Torrington.
