We visited Dawson City for Discovery Days in August and had dinner here around 5 pm. The small but charming place quickly filled up quickly so I'm glad we arrived early. We had a nice booth by the window and our host was friendly and funny.
We shared the mixed appie platter and had chicken souvlaki and lamb souvlaki with soft drinks. (D.C. is a Pepsi town, no Coke.) The portions were generous and beautifully prepared. I don't usually like lamb but their's...
Delicious food in a quirky atmosphere. Fits well with Dawson's quirkiness. Large portions, enough to share or have leftovers. Gets really busy at dinner time. Reasonable prices.
Got there early enough to nab a table out on the front porch. Had the ribs and souvlaki. Both delicious! Rib meet was falling off the bone. Good portions too. Also loved their way of doing potatoes, boiled then fried (I think) for a half potatoe you could pick up and bit through the Krispy outside. Had a great beer too. Happy a local recommend Drunken Goat.
