We enjoyed the coffee and the ambiance. Fabulous experience
THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THEIR RETAIL SERVICE TEAM AND NOT THE CAFE
Went to one of their downtown retailers to buy their bagged coffee. I was informed of a price change via a social media post and the prices have gone up astronomically! When I was in that retail outlet shopping, I overheard someone yelling at the poor staff through the phone, very loudly about the social media post. I felt bad for that poor employee on the phone for having to talk to whoever was screeching through it! Not sure I want to keep supporting a team that increases their product prices, and then yells at retailers for trying to keep customers honestly informed about it. The poor woman was about to be in tears! My near two decades of service management would be ashamed of such treatment and attitude towards a client.
Whoever is in charge of dealing with retail outlet seems incredibly insecure, if a single, factual social media post sends whichever Bean North staff member into such a state. That person should not be working in a service business. If a product supplier increases their prices, then naturally the retailer has to do it as well. It's common sense. It doesn't take a rocket science to see someone being screamed at over the phone about a social media post, then that post being deleted from the retailers page to figure out who was on the other end of the phone.
Bean North, do better. Your team was once stellar and now it is going downhill. If the team finds this behaviour towards clients and customers acceptable, then I do not recommend their products no matter how good they may be.
Given some of the other 1 Star reviews here about management treating their own staff poorly, I would not be surprised if this was the same person. Shameful if it is that they have kept such a person on as staff.
Had a wonderful lunch here with my family. The food, coffee, and other drinks we ordered were great, while the staff were very friendly. A true local gem.

Nice cup of coffee, great service ( very friendly) and a really cute place. They've got lots of bright cheery flowers outside and inside is a bunch of small, cozy rooms to sit and enjoy your coffee. A nice selection of local artisans' wares as well. We'll worth the visit!

The team is knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Coffee was amazing and the names of the roasts are creative. Great stop if visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve.

Serene. Well arranged shop dignified by barista that is highly personable with excellent service. Highly recommend when you visit Yukon. Fascinating to a Naija boy.

Great coffee but the star of Bean North is their toasted Panini. Who knew you could turn a humble ham cheese and tomato toastie into crack. Seriously, I cannot stop thinking about it ? The Aurora, Takhini hot springs and ice skating on a lake in the Yukon were great, but I’ll go back to Australia dreaming of Bean North’s Crack Panini.Thank you, you have ruined all future toasties ?

Great service (friendly staff). Great location (out of town and quiet). Great hot drinks. Kid friendly (lots of crayons and paper for toddler to entertain themselves with).I was very disappointed with the veggie panini I ordered. It consisted of two very small pieces of regular bread, a little spread, and a few tomato slices. I expected something a little more hearty for $13-$14 (just google image "veggie panini" to see what I'm talking about). I was shocked that the veggie panini only had one kind of vegetable in it.Summary: Great place to enjoy a hot drink, but you may want to put $13-$14 towards a foot long loaded veggie sub from Subway rather than purchasing a veggie panini from Bean North.UPDATE: Thanks for the response - we will be back. I'm sure our toddler will love to try the outdoor activities!

We were camping at the Takhini Campground and saw that there was a coffee shop within walking distance. I wish they were open a bit earlier, but the coffee and Scones were an awesome treat and way better than the campfire coffee we've been drinking all week.
Beautiful place.Peaceful
Spent the summer solstice in Whitehorse and area. When my wife and I are travelling we are always on the lookout for good coffee. We were pleasantly surprised when we found Bean North. Even though your power was temporarily out when we were there, you still had enough brewed coffee left for us to enjoy while we sat on your deck. I'm enjoying a cup of your Italian roast in my living room right now.
Love the new vibe!
