Hari was a great host...very knowledgeable about the menu options and gave us very good input on what to order. The food was excellent...albeit a bit pricey.
Nice place to celebrate golden wedding anniverairy. The dinning room has the approbiated atmosphere
Inder provide us excellent service, and the menu was unexpectedly special

Beware, your eyes will need a moment to adjust when you come in from outside. But very worth it. The food was great and our server Inder was pleasant and helpful. I recommend the Smoked Rib Sandwich. Excellent flavour!

We have been coming here a long time and never had anything to complain about. But our recent anniversary party was accentuated by what I would call very poor table service. I feel for the owners of this once fine establishment. Your front line staff can make you or break you: please feel free to contact us personally to discuss this further.
We recently had a wonderful birthday celebration here - dinner for a group of eight. The service was great, the meals were fantastic (well prepared and good sized portions), and it was so lovely to be able to hear one another (good acoustics in the restaurant).

Can’t review the food as when we showed up for our reservation they told us they didn’t have a table available and we can only come back at 7:30-8pm, I had a 2 year old with us.. and it was 5:20pm

Reply: This was my experience today when we arrived for our reservation. There may have been a misunderstanding, but I called about 20 minutes beforehand and asked if there was a table available for 4 adults and 1 child for 5:30 (30 minutes after the phone call) and was told yes, and that the available table would be near the front, which I said was completely fine.
When we arrived about 20 minutes later, that table had already been taken. There were other empty tables and booths, but we were told they were reserved and that we could come back around 7:30–8:00 PM, even though it was only 5:20pm at the time and I had a toddler with me.
I understand that Mother’s Day is a very busy day for restaurants, and I know things can get hectic. It was just frustrating to arrive with a toddler after confirming availability shortly before and then not be accommodated. I’m only sharing my experience honestly.

We called ahead and were told there would be a table available for 4 adults and 1 child. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were informed there were no tables available and were asked to come back later in the evening (8pm and it was 5:15), we were visiting from out of town with a toddler under 2, this was a bit difficult and disappointing for us. We completely understand that busy nights happen, but better communication regarding availability would have been appreciated.
Quality of the food is good. The portions are small for the price. (You won't be bringing home leftovers.) The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.

My experience at G & P on Main in Whitehorse was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. I ordered the baby back ribs, and they were clearly not freshly prepared. It honestly felt like they had simply been reheated and covered in sauce. The sauce itself tasted awful and completely ruined the meal.
The salad that came with the ribs was just as unpleasant. The restaurant was so dark inside that I could barely even see what I was eating, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and unappetizing.
What made the situation even worse was the service. Instead of listening to our concerns or trying to make things right, the waitress became defensive and seemed far more concerned about protecting the restaurant than caring about the customer experience. We were offered absolutely no compensation or effort from management to address the situation, despite barely touching the food.
The atmosphere was uncomfortable, the food quality was poor, and the overall treatment we received was unacceptable. I have eaten at many restaurants over the years — from casual dining to high-end establishments — and this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.
I left feeling completely disappointed and frustrated. Based on my experience, I would not return to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable meal in Whitehorse.

In a town that is a little old and tired, this place was a breath of fresh air. The building is old but inside it’s an interesting mix of modern and old school vibe. Edgy and sleek. 1800’s prospector meets 1960’s Rat Pack lounge. Probably the edgiest places in whitehorse. And the food was good.

Overall it was great. Ribs and steak was excellent. However the baked potato and ceaser was subpar. Service and atmosphere was great!

G&P is a gem. The decor is elegant and tranquil, so you’re stepping out of regular life the moment you enter the dining room. The food is delicious and I’ve had the most wonderful service there.
Yesterday I went for brunch with a friend and we both enjoyed the shakshuka. It was flavourful, just the right size to be satisfying, and very reasonably priced. My friend exclaimed at how much she loved the coffee. Although it was simple drip coffee, it was rich and strong and she was delighted.
I also really appreciated the great music that was playing (Chet Baker as we were being seated) quietly enough so my friend and I could converse without strain.
One of my favourite spots for a meal or a drink!

We made a reservation for G&P tonight and enjoyed an absolutely lovely dinner for four - our food was great and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, it wasn't at G&P, even though that's where we had a reservation.
I called and booked a table for four the evening before and we arrived 5-10 minutes before our reservation. We waited around for 10-15 minutes while the staff wandered around looking into our reservation, to eventually come back to us and inform us that they had overbooked and weren't able to honour it. Rather than a sincere apology and some sort of effort to make it up to us, we were simply shown the door and left to go find alternative plans.
Be wary of making plans to eat here - you might want to have a backup plan for your booking.

I’m sorry, after so much excitement and other people telling me about it, thoroughly disappointed, ordered the salmon, i’ve never tasted salmon like that, the service was amazing, but I’m going there to eat food for dinner. I wish I could give something better, but I think it’s just best to be honest.
