It couldn’t be located in any other stop. The perfect time of year for a good bowl of Ramen! If you haven’t tried their seafood ramen. Their staff were quick to seat me and the interior design feels just right for Ramen. It’s worth giving Whitehorse a drive thru and getting your lunch or dinner at Golden Sakura!

Definitely recommend it! Food was amazing, maybe the best I had in Whitehorse until now. We ordered the combo “sushi for two” which was like $50, but it was worth it, a lot of sushi. We really got full, and plus we order the squid which was amazing, I miss that dish already! Worth the visit !

I had the boat, which was California roll, tuna sushi and beef teriyaki. The sushi were ok, not bad, but just ok. The beef teriyaki beraly tasted teriyaki. I was hungry, it was late, it did the job. If you feel for real good sush, this is not the place. But the service is good.

We’ve eaten here before, and we were looking forward to dinner. Very good in the past. Today though, very disappointing. The edamame was frozen solid. The 2 rolls were not rolled well, so we were unable to even pick them up without them falling apart. Tasted ok. Nigiri and other items were also only ok. Overall, disappointing. ?Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian options.

I used to eat here regularly and enjoyed it very much. Its been a while so I decided to take-out for the family. Wow has it gone down hill. Box A: zero teriyaki flavour on greesy chicken, rice was undercooked, dry and rubbery, and the California rolls fell apart and were stale as if they were made days ago. The wanton soup was just brown salt broth. Zero tofu and one tiny morsal of seaweed.Beef Udon: noodle were good, beef and broth were super fatty and saltyI'm left feeling ill and like I should have ordered pizza.I used to love sekura but won't be back again now that it has become quite terrible and not at all worth the $65 I just paid.Sorry for the bad review as the staff were very friendly. I feel bad but I also feel slightly sick.

Extensive Menu. Fresh, fabulous portions, and great service! They easily accommodated last minute our demanding group of 10 people. Highly recommend.
Came here for dinner earlier this month, during my first night in Whitehorse. The atmosphere was cozy and the service friendly, but the corners were a bit dark. The way to the washroom was not very well maintained. We ordered a ramen, the firecracker roll and the BC salmon skin roll. The rolls tasted good and were reasonably priced, but they were poorly made. The rice was not rolled all the way around most of the rolls, causing many of them to be wackily shaped, and they disintegrated easily when picked up by my chopstick. I was honestly quite shocked at how easily they fell apart...They need to hold together as you dip them in soy sauce and then send them into your mouth...Hope the restaurant improves the roll-making.

The food was really good, and the music wasn't too loud, allowing our group to converse easily.

Love Golden Sakura! We regularly, once a week, enjoy their tasty food and I have never been disappointed. My favorites are their sushi options: I immensely enjoy their rolls and combinations and recommend it to everyone that likes Japanese Food. The service is good and very friendly. A little gem in Whitehorse.Parking: Lots of parking in front of the restaurant and nearby.

Absolutely horrid. You'd be a fool to eat here. Sorry, but I dont pay $18 for wet spaghetti noodles and a strip of bacon, no veggies. Shameful for a Japanese 'restaurant', sorry, dont mean to be mean, but c'mon ...
