We rode motorcycles from Mexico to Alaska and Klondike Rib and Salmon was the one and only place we committed to return! Donna is a wonderful person and host, and the food was absolutely the best between Mexico and Alaska! Of course we had the ribs and salmon combo. We did in fact make it back on our next trip … and planning to return again this summer.

Can’t believe this place has closed down! Surely it was a gold mine. This was definitely one of the top couple restaurants in the city. Lots of character and great food with excellent servings and servers in my experience. Hopefully somebody picks us up and moves forward with it.

This eatery has closed permanently. It appears the owners decided to retire. Sorry to disappoint. I was looking forward to giving it a try myself when I visited in June 2023.

Omg! Best food ever! Wish this place was open all year round. Best bison steak I've ever had. All the food is amazing thank you!

This place comes highly recommended but please be aware that it's very popular so be prepared for a wait (hence the benches provided outside of the establishment. However it's well worth the wait for both the food and the atmosphere. Portions are large, the food is tasty and it does offer value for money.

Ordered two dishes - the Keto/Kobb salad half and the Klondike burger, the salad description included boar belly that I was very excited about (consistent with the photo on the website), but I only got salad (first photo) when I opened the container and no boar belly with chocolate sauce ? The burger meat seems to be there, so at least one meal is accurate I guess. Very sad as I went into town during a layover and was excited to share the exciting unique meal with friends, but it ended up being not much of anything sadly.

It's fun and Klondike-kitsch, always good service despite an often long wait for a table in the summer during peak tourist season. The menu never changes - a bit stuck in the early 2000s with things like brie on fish and chocolate on salad - and the food is good but not spectacular. Huge portions though, the House Special can easily be two meals.Vegetarian options: Despite the Rib and Salmon moniker, there are several vegetarian options on the menu.Parking: Metered street parking on both sides, and a paid parking lot to the rear of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: No step-free access. Front entrance has 4 steps up from the street, rear entrance from the parking lot has one step.

This place looks like an old tent, with a lot of accessories in the ceiling. We loved the whole atmosphere. All the food was delicious and the service great.

THE place to go in the summerThis is a locals and tourists fave.My recs would be The Special: the ribs and salmon dinner. Ribs fall off the bone. Salmon skewers are absolutely delicious. Served with excellent salad and smashed potatoes. Add a local beer, and I don't know what else you could ever want.I also LOVE the Balls appetizer. Oh yum.And the burgers -- any of them. And Mom loves the fish and chips! And the soups!Sorry, I'm not helping you choose. You can't choose wrong.Portions are huge -- be warned. Share or have second dinner tomorrow.Vegetarian options: Although this place specializes in local wild game and fish, there ARE veg options

Nice place and very quick service, unique wall art and friendly staff. Appetizers were excellent, main course was very good. Arrive early to get a table otherwise expect a wait.

Huge portions and very cool atmosphere. Showed up at 4:30pm and got sat right away but there was a HUGE lineup when we left at hour later. I don’t really get the hype…Ribs were very dry and tough.Had to add seasoning to my fettuccine.Chowder was not good, and definitely no seafood in it like the menu claims.Amazing focaccia bread, though! And great service.Sadly, not my first pick of places to eat in Whitehorse.

This is a great place to have dinner in an authentic 1930's era building. The food itself was fantastic and the service was over the top. Never an empty drink even though every seat in the place was taken.
