“Ordered hot snow onion chicken for takeout, and it’s so nice. Crunchy outside, juicy inside and it blended well with the onions. Not too spicy for me and it’s a quick order since there weren’t not many people inside. The server, Kim Hoon, was friendly as well. Would recommend this place to everyone!“

“Ordered Lanzhou beef noodle soup and it was honestly one of the best noodle soups I ever had. We added some spinach and green onions to it with some chilli oil and I couldn't have ate it faster.There is a sign on the street in front of the restaurant that says "Best noodle soup in town"It's not even close to enough praise ? 20/10“

“First time dining here - our server was so nice and attentive. The food was interesting and lovely! I ordered the duck starter and it wasn't really my vibe, but I could definitely appreciate the quality of it. However, the scallops main course was amazing! Soft buttery scallops, creamy potato, creamed spinach - it was to die for! Then to finish off, the chocolate lava cake - which again, was amazing! I also tried The Black Fairy cocktail, which was so tart and crisp. It's been a while since I had found somewhere that serves absinthe, and it was lovely to see they offer drip too!Would definitely come back! Thank you :)“

“My son loves the Vancouver Canucks! So when they were heading to Game 5 of the first round of the play-offs in 2024 we headed to the west coast. Our first night he was researching a place to eat and found Burgoo, on Main St. Billy was our server and had some great suggestions for what to eat. He emphasized that their food was “Comfort Food” and all home made in their kitchen. My son had the Cuban Sandwich and FAB Salad. (Feta, Apples and Bacon) with red onions and some type of vinagrette. I had the Beef Bourguignon, which is a very flavourful beef stew over mashed potatoes. Both dishes were served on pottery dishes. The food was delicious and was indeed “Comfortable”!Billy was an excellent server with great advice for food and how to get around town for the game. Thanks Billy and good luck with your future endeavours.“

“We were pleasantly surprised with the food. It was so good. The sauces were OUTSTANDING. I think the food was delicious. The ambiance is OK. The restaurant is small but cosy and has a casual feel to it. You can expect this vibe as the restaurant name is called BISTRO seems less formal and casual. Anyways, it is delicious. We were not expecting that. I'm sure this restaurant will just get more and more busy as people discover how good the food is there. Way to go Chefs ! For example, the wasabi, was fresh grated wasabi horseradish root, not that powdered prepared wasabi. There was a special sauce brought out for the different sashimi pairings. Nice touch. The staff is quiet and pleasant.“

We were in Vancouver for a weekend getaway. Only 1 star for service because our reservation was for 7:45p we got drinks immediately..but no food until around 9:15.. yes you’re reading that correctly. They were very apologetic and gave us a discount on the amount owed but it was still quite expensive“

“We got here on a beautiful sunny day and wanted to sit for a drink since the outside dine was beautiful and warm and one of the only places that offers outside dining atm. We waited for the staff to come and get us seated and asked them if we could sit outside since there were 2 free tables, they told us that we couldn't because their server is busy? But they told us that se could sit inside. How can a server who's job is to serve, not serve an extra 3 people, it's ok if we have to wait but we were told that he can't serve us outside because he's busy, but inside he can. This makes no sense to me, so we just told them ok, and left. Why couldn't they close the tables or put a sign that said closed atm or something, instead they leave the tables open and don't let you sit there. Pointless...“

“Was there to dine in to try the specialty hot chocolate from the hot chocolate festival. It was delish. The flavours of the berry and dark chocolate went well together. The drink was hot, rich and a decent size. I also had the sticky toffee pastry as well, which was great.“
