“My son loves carrot cake, but he has always hated that many have raisins and pineapple. I live in Long Beach and I couldn’t find a local bakery that would exclude those two for him until I stumbled on The Shredded Carrot on Google. The Yelp reviews were really good and when I called the pleasant attendant said they could definitely exclude raisins and pineapple! I was delighted because I had called many places that said they couldn’t do that for us. I picked up my son’s cake yesterday and I was nervous because we had never had a cake from here. But man! Was it delicious! The Shredded Carrot went above and beyond with their service from my phone call to place the order, to the order promptness and taste! Worth the drive:)“

“location/parking: located near savoy! i parked outside on the street in-front of the store food: they have a variety of premade drinks & desserts, as well as fresh desserts you can order :) see the menu photos attached for their selection service: fast, friendly, and multilingual! the main language spoken here is cantonese, but they also know english ambiance: there is a desserts side & restaurant side where you can sit! pretty clean, a classic sgv dessert & restaurant joint overall: 5/5 no complaints, lots of seating and options :)“

“Even though this branch has been open for months now, it still feels like it's unfinished or maybe just understocked.The drinks come out super slowly, so I suggest ordering from the kiosk as soon as you enter. By the time you've made up your tray of baked goods, stood in line, and finished paying, your drink should be ready. Maybe.“

“I ordered a cake for my mom's 75th birthday and it was exactly as I requested. Prior to placing my order, I searched other bakers and the pricing was so expensive and the reviews weren't great. I'm glad I found One & One while searching Yelp and it's just down the street from my house! The cake was moist, light, delicious, and went quickly! I will be making all of my future cake purchases from One & One!“

“This review is only for the egg tarts. They sell 3 different types: HK style egg tart, Portuguese egg tart, and egg white egg tart. I've tried all three and the only one that I go back for is the egg white egg tart. It is so different from all the other egg tarts and no one else makes them. The other two egg tarts are decent but not the best ones I've had. They also sell bakery items and cakes.“
