“The best Hainan chicken in sgv. I'd been making inquiries about where to find the best and this place always popped up. I was glad to finally try it, it was perfect. Also had the Malay beef stew, which was outstanding. Got a take out order of sausage and pepper pasta with the pizza bread. The name "savoy" should have been a tip off that the restaurant was a sort of mini Hong Kong Cafe , although whether it referred to Hong Kong's Savoy Cafe, Court, or Mansion wasn't clear to me. But the inclusion of the pasta and the Cornish game hens were the evidence. I'm definitely coming back“

“Casually serving up some of the finest Sichuan Chinese food in all of LA. Strongly recommend the cold dishes including the little sister rabbit and the jelly noodles (as long as you don't mind eating around the bones). They truly deliver on the classic slowly building tongue numbing heat that makes Sichuan food special, balancing with savory flavors that makes each bite a small triumph. I guess there's a reason this place has been an SGV staple for so many years.“

“2/18/24: 4.5/5Probably the best handmade dumplings and noodles I’ve had so far in LA and as good as most of the good local shops I’ve been to in China and Asia. Dumplings are hand made and kept in cold storage until cooked to order. Noodles are batched for dough and then rolled and hand cut fresh to order. The dumpling skins and wide noodles have the perfect Q bouncy chew texture. The dumplings can be either boiled, pan fried, or steamed. The shop doesn’t use MSG, which isn’t really a problem, but does mean their food is well balanced and just salty and savory enough. Their beef noodle soup is red braised and may appear lighter in color, but still packs a beefy flavor w/ perfectly cooked tender beef. Their in house sauces like spicy chili oil for wontons and hoisin sauce for beef roll are some of the best I’ve had and also well balanced. Definitely get the sesame pockets that have a nice thin crunchy shell. The pan fried buns are fluffy pillowy w/ a nice thin crispy bottom. The green onion pancake is good although just needed some salt. Think Noodle St still has the best beef roll pancake but You’s is pretty great still. And if you want a drink, try the fresh taro milk smoothie. The owner was super nice to talk to and service was great. You can order from the menu or they have a digital POS machine w/ Chinese+English and pictures.“

“Yet another authentic Chinese restaurant to check out in San Gabriel valley area here in the city of Alhambra. My wife had seen this noodle joint on IG and of course we love checking out new places for Chinese eats. The rainy weather brings on the Noodle appetite and 101 Noodle Express did not disappoint. We ordered a feast even though we came for some noodles.Started off with some Dan Dan noodles, steamed / fried pork and shrimp dumplings ?.I got their eggplant and pork noodles in a light yet flavorful broth which was quite delicious for a new taste for me.We also got their Yang chow fried rice and chicken chowmein.Chicken chowmein was decent in flavor however they could bump up their fried rice game which lacked a bit.We were patient with their service because there was only 1 server who was quite polite and courteous to us. I felt empathy for her because she had 8 other tables to wait on (1 that had a party of 8) and that can be stressful while taking care of pick up orders and the phone ringing all at the same time. They could have staffed the restaurant with at least 2 more employees to allow a better form of service. The dining area was clean and organized. Their restrooms could have used a little love, like a little bleach down and air freshener.101 Noodle Express would have gotten an easy 5 star rating if it weren't for a couple of setbacks.Otherwise the noodles here were quite delicious. We will be back to check out some more of their noodle dishes with soup.“
