“I cannot say enough GOOD THINGS about GUS's BBQ! We have been coming here for years while my son attended Claremont College nearby. It was ALWAYS his first choice to eat at when we were visiting which was often with baseball games. But last night, they sealed the deal forever by getting our large party in early for our reservation for our graduates dinner! I know it wasn't easy but Ben and the crew bent over backwards for us to make it happen and we are forever grateful! Go visit Gus's!! Great food, great cocktails, great outdoor seating and an overall great vibe!“

Dollar extra, you got to choose between 3 specialty drinks they have as well. Everything tasted great, and the Mac salad was really good, too. “The staff was very welcoming our first time in. The meat counter display impressed us, but we didn't see any standing rib roasts which is what we came for. We asked and of course they had it in the back. 100% the best prime rib I have ever had!!“

They do not have a lot of options for Hawaiian BBQ but their sushi rolls and egg rolls are amazing.“

“I can only speak about the pulled pork sandwich and fries they were both Fire!! ? One of the best pulled pork I have had beats Lucille's for sure. They didn't put BBQ sauce in the sandwich and it didn't matter the pork was juicy and delicious I did ask for BBQ sauce on the side they brought out a couple of choices and put it on myself which I actually prefer to do it that way. Try it you won't be disappointed!!“

“A hidden gem in Diamond Bar!!! And they actually open until 10pm. For Diamond Bar standards that's pretty late. We love Tofu Bean - Diamond Bar. This Tofu Bean is owned by the same great owner of the Tofu Bean of Rowland Heights. Their Banchan (side dishes) are the best. The potato side dish and kimchi are my favorites. When you order a combination, the tofu soup is the same size as the regular tofu soup orders. Check them out - I highly recommend.“

“Went here for St. PATRICK'S DAY looking to have a beer and some fish ? and chips with the wife. Place was crowed and quite festive ☘️. Service was slow with the beer as demand was high and the servers and bar staff were frantically filling orders for ? folks who were chugging away the green beer and other mixed drinks as fast as they were presented to the patrons. Patience was key and the bar and wait staff are ? Champs for working so hard on a Sunday St PADDY'S day. Beer and alcohol service for that day was also available outside on the patio. Enjoyed a cold one streetside with other friendly folks waiting to get a table. Once we were seated the wait staff was fast and polite. Drink order came around fast and surprisingly the food was just as fast too. I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips. Great batter, comes out crisp and light, good tarter sauce and their coleslaw is just the way I like it. Better yet they have one of my favorite Irish Cream Ales on hand Killkenny. Great Red Ale which is always on tap here throughout the year...Definitely coming back. My wife had ordered the same food dish and big thumbs up from her too...she doesn't drink alcohol so she ordered a Shirley Temple to which they served in a large beer ? mug which made her happy too. Would absolutely recommend this place as there is a great bar and restaurant atmosphere and setting in this quaint downtown setting of La Verne. A shout out to manager Anthony who was serving beer on the pation and showing great hospitality to everyone outside.Parking: Small downtown area next to college so parking is a little competitive depending on time of year and time of day and which day of the week. There is a lot to the east that has free parking.“

You walk in and decide if you'll be having Mongolian or Chinese. Them put on a glove on the hand that you'll be using to serve your food. Then serve yourself whatever your heart desires and as much. If you went with the Mongolian once you are done serving your bowl you take it to the grill and watch the magic happen. I'm extra so I like to grab a wing or two, fried shrimp and or an egg roll. They are mostly breading, but they do the job. Once done Walt to the cashier and pay. We love this place because you get to serve yourself and it's super casual. “We accidentally went to the original Tasty Box and was informed that we were looking for It's sister location in the same plaza next to Starbucks. The staff were super friendly and moved tables for us. She was so nice and brought filtered water for my kids. There are roughly 8 small tables in the tightly packed restaurant. They menu is pretty big and was super excited that they had pan fried sticky rice which is my daughter's favorite. They also had another hard to find item near us, crispy noodles with gravy. There are very few places near us that do this well. We were super happy with everything we got. Highly recommend the pork chops with honey garlic sauce, braised green beans, and eggplant with pork.“
