“Ok, this bar is on the top floor of the Marriott in Irvine.I knew something was off when I stepped off the elevator and they were blasting high school grinding music.Think lil john and the east side boys. lol.Drinks were actually really good. View of the OC were meh as everything was dark. No LA rooftop views like EP LP or Catch. But the most interesting and ewww was all the overly drunk and sloppy OC moms bumping and grinding on each other.Hard pass for next time.“

“My group and I hit up Bacchus' speakeasy, Cozy Pine, recently, and let me tell ya, cozy is right! This spot is small, like really small. If you or someone nearby is a bit on the big side, expect some bumping around. But we dug the whole outdoorsy vibe they had going on. Now let's talk about the snacks! Fried goat cheese balls? Check. Blue crab dip? Double check. Deviled eggs? Oh yeah. The only letdown was the shishito peppers - a bit on the oily side. As for drinks, I went for a mocktail that tasted like lemonade, but my group seemed happy with their choices. Shoutout to the friendly and attentive staff!“

“I found out about this bistro through a coupon book that The Market Place periodically sends out. It was inside the Mathis Homes furniture store, so I was curious and I came here to find out what kind of place it is.Thirty Four Bar & Bistro has a quiet and clean atmosphere, and although its operating hours are a bit short from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., it is a great place to have a quiet meal during lunchtime.I had chili cheese fries and a brisket steak burger, they both exceeded my expectations and went great with a draft beer. ?I will visit again soon and try other foods.“

“The tacos at Chronic Tacos are quite substantial, roughly the size of a small burrito. Considering their generous size, the Taco Tuesday price is quite reasonable. Typically, I would consume three tacos at other places, but at Chronic Tacos, one and a half tacos suffice. An added bonus is that the carne asada taco comes with guacamole topping, which is a definite highlight. However, one drawback is that I find the food to be overly salty. Both the meats and the rice tend to be on the salty side. Nevertheless, Chronic Tacos may still be among the best taco options in Irvine, although superior tacos can be found outside of the city limits.“

“Service rushed, “people waiting,” but did not see. We had a firm reservation. For 8 course meal for $88-99 pp, one course should be finished before another arrives and you should be able to relax and enjoy. I would ask for cushioned chair next time—bare wood hard on the “rear.” Meal was imaginative and unique, but wouldn't return until next season menu offered. Service friendly but as above a little too fast. Atmosphere open and pleasant.“

Trust DTSA Tapas/Small Plates
220 E 4th St, Santa Ana - 4.91 miles

“You should consider your reservation to Trust as a dinner show starring master chef Justin, sous chef Kyle, wine expert Trish and Jared, the man that makes things happen. This 13 course diner show included the absolute best bread in town, duck, steak and ravioli amongst others, finished with three different desserts. Chef Justin told story with each course served, the wine was not just served, Trish gifted with love. So did the deserts, you can tell that Kyle had poured his heart and soul into the sweets.Be on time for your reservation and bring a hungry appetite. It is worth it.“

“We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a family member. We rounded up to a 4 out of 5 but I think it was closer to 3.5 due to the flavor of the food and the atmosphere. The drinks were pretty delicious I must say. I had a royal tea which has gin and Brandy and it was absolutely amazing. The presentation was also really nice with a circular ice cube that had a flower inside of it. I also had a margarita which was very tasty as well. So the drinks were definitely on point. As far as the food, to me it was just a little disappointing for the price point they are at. We did have an appetizer of choosing three cheeses. All three cheeses didn't seem to have a lot of flavor and we're very similar to each other as well so pretty disappointing there.I had ordered the scallops and wagyu meatballs as well as a rare 8 oz filet. All of the food was cooked very well to my liking, however all three dishes lacked flavor and I had to add salt and pepper to all of them which was a little disappointing again considering the price point of all of them. The steak alone was 60 dollars and was just not seasoned at all. Even the sauces that food was laying on just didn't have flavor and tasted very bland. I will say every tapas dish did a good job of incorporating different textures which was really nice, just wish they had some flavor as well. The service was very well. Our waitress was extremely nice and was on top of everything. They brought us everything in a timely manner which was actually faster than we had thought. The food also came out very hot and seem to taste very fresh as well which was really nice to see.I do think the atmosphere was a little off as all the tables were very tight and very close to each other, just made it hard to get out sometimes to go to the bathroom or anything like that cuz you had to move the entire table and once they started filling up it got pretty loud and you just felt really close to the table next to you especially if they were talking loud or anything like that.Overall we did enjoy our experience, we were just a disappointed with the food or the lack of flavor on the food. I would definitely go back for drinks as they were unique and the bar had some really cool features and choices of drink there.“

“DTTN 2.0 is a membership only dining experience that really showcases how a business model like this can be successful. Our membership level is $100 a month which is applied toward your dining bill. Considering that you can’t get out of a fast food joint these days for under $50 it seems, it’s a no brainer to us. It also is a good motivation to get out for a date night once a month! Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t sure about the idea of a membership based restaurant but once we gave it a try as guests of other members we were blown away by the experience. So now that we’ve covered the membership aspect, let’s talk food and drinks. We usually start at the bar with cocktails and great conversation with the bartenders who are true mixologists. Most of the time when you tell a bartender, “Surprise me!”, they are less than thrilled and you end up with something less than desirable. Not here. For these guys that phrase is a fun challenge and they will deep dive into your various drink likes and dislikes to custom craft a cocktail that will satisfy!Dinner service is always amazing. You have top tier service from the entire staff who will guide you through selecting an array of dishes. Food is shareable sizes and there’s always something new and exciting. Boredom isn’t possible here. Bring a couple friends and order one of everything on the menu. It’s worth it.Come to think of it…it’s time to make another monthly visit!“

“My wife and I decided to dine at Sevilla’s last night and it was our absolute best dining decision in quite a while! Let me start off by saying Sevilla’s has an amazing Happy Hour and it now goes until 7pm and on weekends too!!!!! $10 cocktails, 50% off their cold and hot Tapas, like are you for real!? On top of that… each dish was incredibly delicious so hats off to the cooks. We also had the pleasure of having Paul be our waiter while he had a new hire shadowing whose name was Bryan. Bryan was respectful and observant on how Paul did his service so props to him.As for Paul… Sevilla is blessed to have such a genuine and engaging employee who gave amazing food and drink recommendations… always knew when to check in with us and when to let us be… he walked the line incredibly well and thanks to his service, Sevilla’s food and lastly the business owners decision to have such an amazing happy hour policy - my wife and I will be coming back routinely now.Thank you Sevilla for a lovely dining experience!“
