“Chapter One is my Cheers. Need I say more? It's the place to go to at the end of work day with friends or just to hang out with the downtown neighbors. It's also a great place to host events and gatherings. I've held a few work dinners here and the service is always on point.“

“I've been a member at Detention 2.0 for a year now; I purchased my membership after trying Trust, their sister restaurant, next door. Some might complain about paying a membership fee to enjoy a restaurant, and at first, it was bit strange to me as well; however, having since tried it, I wish all my favorite restaurants would adopt a membership model, and I'll explain why. The monthly membership cost isn't a "membership fee" in the traditional sense. You're not actually paying "extra" for the membership. You're essentially pre-purchasing dining credits and committing to spending at least that amount each month. It's not much different than having a favorite restaurant your frequent at least once a month. By utilizing a membership model, they can provide truly TOP TIER service for their loyal and returning patrons. Rather than appeal to the masses, they've created a much more bespoke, intimate, and catered experience that makes you want to come back week after week, month after month, to try their latest drink concoctions and menu items.“

“Can’t say enough good things about this place. We found it by chance after a Disneyland trip. Josue helped us out, he was an amazing server and the food we ordered was DELICIOUS! We were a big group and ordered a variety of things and they do. not. MISS! Thank you for accommodating us so late!“

“Service rushed, “people waiting,” but did not see. We had a firm reservation. For 8 course meal for $88-99 pp, one course should be finished before another arrives and you should be able to relax and enjoy. I would ask for cushioned chair next time—bare wood hard on the “rear.” Meal was imaginative and unique, but wouldn't return until next season menu offered. Service friendly but as above a little too fast. Atmosphere open and pleasant.“

“After doing some shopping at Brea Mall, my siblings and I worked up an appetite. We decided to stop at i20 Ramen Katsu. We ordered sushi rolls (not pictured; sorry, we were hungry) and a plate of yellowtail. It was my first time trying the yellowtail, and I loved it! It tasted so fresh and well-seasoned. We ordered an Arnold Palmer mocktail, and it was so refreshing. It wasn't too sweet. The service was great. Our waitress was helpful, welcoming, and attentive. The ambiance was very relaxing. I wanted to take a nap, ha! They had classical music playing in the background. I definitely see myself visiting again.“

“I really enjoyed my first time at Vaca. The roasted cauliflower was incredible. I can't wait to have it again. The paellas are shareable. The restaurant gets really busy during happy hour. A lot of people stop by before walking over to Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Make sure to get there early or make a reservation.“

“The Baja Tacos are excellent and very favorable. The food is always good. However, if you are looking for good service this is not the place. The cashier has no customer service skills. He always seems to be angry. The restroom is always out of order. Which is not a big deal because there is public restrooms around the block. The food makes up for the other flaws.Bon appetit.“

“The cheese selection is always great. I tried the smoked Gouda and honey grilled cheese with prosciutto, it was amazing!!! The cheese and mustard dipping sauce was to die for. The best grilled cheese I’ve ever had. I hope they keep this on the menu.“

“My group and I hit up Bacchus' speakeasy, Cozy Pine, recently, and let me tell ya, cozy is right! This spot is small, like really small. If you or someone nearby is a bit on the big side, expect some bumping around. But we dug the whole outdoorsy vibe they had going on. Now let's talk about the snacks! Fried goat cheese balls? Check. Blue crab dip? Double check. Deviled eggs? Oh yeah. The only letdown was the shishito peppers - a bit on the oily side. As for drinks, I went for a mocktail that tasted like lemonade, but my group seemed happy with their choices. Shoutout to the friendly and attentive staff!“

“We were intended to check out the Thai restaurant but at 4:30 on a Saturday, the wait was already an hour long for a group of 3. We just decided to check out the sister sushi place next door. Not bad but had better...pretty nice price for portion and service was decent but a little slow while after asking about boxes and bags for left over, but understand they were busy. Food was decent too, but again had better...“

“WOW. No words, came here this last Friday for a company event that our bosses rented out the place for and the food was SPECTACULAR!! We complained that we should've brought to go boxes because the food was mouthwatering, fresh, and constantly coming out of the oven! The wait staff was incredibly nice and easy going, but beyond that made sure our glasses were never empty. The best sauv blanc! Cant wait to come back!!“

“I found out about this bistro through a coupon book that The Market Place periodically sends out. It was inside the Mathis Homes furniture store, so I was curious and I came here to find out what kind of place it is.Thirty Four Bar & Bistro has a quiet and clean atmosphere, and although its operating hours are a bit short from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., it is a great place to have a quiet meal during lunchtime.I had chili cheese fries and a brisket steak burger, they both exceeded my expectations and went great with a draft beer. ?I will visit again soon and try other foods.“

“Came for Mother's Day and we tried their Teishoku set meal. Miso Black Cod: so soft and delicate. It was delicious. Came with 5 pieces of sashimi, 3 pc tempura, salad, and other sides. It was so good. Nabeyaki Udon: also really good. Ask for tempura on the side so it doesn't get soggy. Takoyaki: really good as well. Ultimate Salmon Roll: this is a good staple roll.“

“My wife and I decided to dine at Sevilla’s last night and it was our absolute best dining decision in quite a while! Let me start off by saying Sevilla’s has an amazing Happy Hour and it now goes until 7pm and on weekends too!!!!! $10 cocktails, 50% off their cold and hot Tapas, like are you for real!? On top of that… each dish was incredibly delicious so hats off to the cooks. We also had the pleasure of having Paul be our waiter while he had a new hire shadowing whose name was Bryan. Bryan was respectful and observant on how Paul did his service so props to him.As for Paul… Sevilla is blessed to have such a genuine and engaging employee who gave amazing food and drink recommendations… always knew when to check in with us and when to let us be… he walked the line incredibly well and thanks to his service, Sevilla’s food and lastly the business owners decision to have such an amazing happy hour policy - my wife and I will be coming back routinely now.Thank you Sevilla for a lovely dining experience!“
“Underrated afternoon chill for getting draft beer and healthy pours of wine. We usually come during the week for the burger and beer deal. This time we came and the menu had added options such as the crab cake and fish and chips. Every time we come the server is friendly and gets our food out quickly. The seats are always abundant. Order. Eat. People watch.“

“Can't you tell by all the pictures of the food, it's one of our new local favorites. Gf loves the broth for the shrimp tempura and I enjoy the rich depth of umami of the tonkotsu ramen with that tender fatty pork where the fat just melts in your mouth.Gf even said we must really like this place to come back pretty much three weeks in a row lol. Service is decent since they're only about two wait staff managing the entire 10+ indoor tables. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating the times we've went which should be packed in most cases. The only bad part is the extremely limited parking situation. There is chained off parking, but you'll have to have a +1 or ask the wait staff to come lift the chain for you so good luck! But definitely worth a try while it's still a hidden gem.“

“How does this place not have Michelin stars yet? Maybe they're too cool for it? Seriously though, I've eaten at a lot of Michelin restaurants, and this one hits the high bar. It may be a little more punk rock than other fine dining establishments, but the food was amazing. You can tell everyone at the establishment absolutely loves food and what they do, and it shows in their craft. $250 all inclusive of alcohol pairings is a steal. They keep the drinks flowing, the conversation and explanations are entertaining and not stuffy, and it was all around an amazing experience. I tried so many new dishes and items I have never had before.“
