“I found my new poke spot. They have poke, ice cream, and SUSHI here! The poke is extremely fresh and the price is the lowest I could find around me. The sushi rolls are really big and fresh. Look how cute the chopsticks are!! I believe they are made from bamboo. Overall the price, taste and portion sizes are 5/5 in my books This place is a must try if your in the area ^_~“

“THE BEST POKE IN THE SOUTH BAY!!! I have been coming to poke me for years and I hope this place never changes. The fish here is SOOOO fresh and they always have the best toppings. I have been to almost all the poke places in the South Bay many times and consistently say poke me is the best. My favorites are the yellowtail and tuna, alone with the seaweed and crab salad. I love a mix of the truffle shoyu, spicy mayo and some ponzu. Don't forget to get crispy garlic and onions on top!!! They are a must. It's a casual restaurant where you order up front and get to choose your toppings as you walk by, with some seating indoors and outdoors. The portion sizes have gone down in the last couple years which is unfortunate but I hope the continue to stick to their fresh ingredients and phenomenal service!“

“I'm sad that this place opened up after I moved away! They have great quality poke by the pound, with many flavors and also great customer service along with other dishes too. Really friendly employee that always greets me every time I come, and the poke itself is really tasty compared to the generic poke places around. I personally love flavor so I like how their poke is so flavorful, although sometimes it's a LITTLE too flavorful, which I don't mind but my wife does. I love their limu poke, the crunchy bits of seaweed from Hawaii give a really good contrast to the poke, and it's consistently one I always get from here. Prices are reasonable and I love just getting some poke from here, making rice at home, and just having a nice little dinner, that is only if I didn't finish all the poke on the way home.“

“A nice and affordable place that sells very good protein bowls for $6-8! The chicken Katsu is very flavorful and it comes with a decent serving compared to the price. The Katsu plate is $4-5 increase compared to the bowl and includes a decent scoop of Mac salad and salad. Interior was fairly clean and there was no issues with parking. The staff are always super friendly and always open to suggestions when it comes to recommending what to try out! A place worth stopping by and getting some lunch during a quick break! “Old school Japanese/Hawaiian food. Get your fix for some saimen, teriyaki, spam musubi, manapua (char siu bao), or just some boiled nuts. Make sure to leave room for shave ice (or just come for that!!!). They've been slinging the ono grindz for over 40 years! (they use to be over in the old Pacific Square)“

“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“

“"Loco moco. Is Mom's response to what she wanted for lunch. There's probably a half dozen Hawaiian restaurants near home (at least!) but we wanted to try a new place... ... well. I've been here but it's literally been at least a decade since the last run, so it was time for a come back. Took a lunch break and drove up. We arrived maybe thirty minutes into opening time and already a few tables occupied. We didn't take long putting our orders in since we pretty much already knew what we wanted before we arrived: loco moco for Mom and Portuguese sausage and eggs for me. And an order of Portuguese sausage musubi to start. I love the whole Hawaiian vibe interior. Not because the whole place is decorated as such, but just the overall feel of it. It felt sorta homely. Wasn't long before our food started trickling in. PORTUGUESE MUSUBI: I picked this because I wanted to steer away from the usual Spam version. I remember having this the last time (albeit a loooooong time ago!) and the overall flavor is still on point. Rice was fluffy. Seaweed added to the taste and the protein was the center of it all. PORTUGUESE SAUSAGE AND EGGS: I guess I was kind of on a theme of some sorts, but I haven't had Portuguese patties for awhile! They were were seasoned salty and although I thought they were a bit overdone, they were delicious! Packed with so much flavor, combined with eggs and rice, it didn't need anything else. Just for fun, I dipped a couple of small pieces on Mom's gravy (from her order of loco moco) and made it a different bite! Delish! Mom enjoyed her plate. Couldn't finish it because of how massive this plate was! I get it, I didn't finish mine either. We had enough for second meals. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 4.5. You get more for what you pay for, the servings are generous! PARKING: Street and private lot at the back. Not an issue for a midweek lunch. OVERALL: 4.5. On a side note, we also enjoyed the macaroni salad and the ramen cabbage salad that I put in a catering order for both as adds to a gathering we're having in the near future. Shoulda come back sooner! Definitely looking forward to our next visit!“

“Aunties Cafe reminds of the local cafes in Maui. It is a small restaurant with a few tables and booths. I have never had to wait for a tabel here. You find mostly locals eating here. After a few trips, the faces become familiar. This is family run and owned.i usually order the local moco here. The food here is average. The gravy is homemade. The burger was cooked medium. Still tender and juicy. The coffee is serf served. They have coffee creamers available. The coffee is not bad.I don't think it is Kona coffee, though. A taste of Hawaii in Gardena.“

“Sweet salty poke is the best poke restaurant around Torrance/Gardina area. The owner is super sweet (btw she speaks fluent Spanish and Korean) and always gives generous portions.I personally like getting the medium bowl with brown rice, all salmon, and vegis (curate as of your preference!) and of course the poke bowl tastes good making me feel like I'm taking care of myself ? For sauce, I usually get number 1 (shoyu) or 4 (spicy mayo) but I learned that number 2 is the house special made here! Please please try out this place you won't regret.“

“menu April 2024Been coming here since opened. They charged the menu slightly time to time, but never disappoint me. I order 3 item combo with Hawaiian Fried Chicken with mac salad, alternate other choices. Oh and don’t forget to buy donut. It’s as good as Mr. Donut from Japan.“

“I’m amazed. I was just passing by and decided to have Maui Chicken. DELICIOUS! I ordered salmon and avocado poke bowl, 100% recommend this place. Service amazing, they are very polite. It was a very hot day, I forgot to order water or anything to drink, the owner gave me a cold water bottle before leaving and said “it’s a very hot day outside, have some water”. They literally treat you like family. I saved this place in my favorites, I’m coming back. It wasn’t the free water for me, it was how kind they are here, they are laughing all the time, very nice energy. Food is AMAZING, taste and freshness are incredible. Portions are perfect, not too much rice. The plate comes with rice, A LOT of toppings, salad and mac&cheese for $19. It’s not overpriced at all, I don’t mind paying, when food and service are 5 stars. Thank you Maui Chicken, I’ll be back soon.*Food was so good I couldn’t stop, forgot to take a pic of my plate haha.“

“Last week I was traveling through LA on my way to Santa Barbara. I had some time to kill so I looked up Poke. Came across this amazing place! I am admittedly new to Poke. The staff took good care of me and I wound up having such a hard decision. I think the spicy Poke might have been might absolute favorite. I can’t wait for my next trip to LA so I can stop there again!“

“My goto plate place since the mid-2000s. The pricing has been increasing, but the food portion and quality are about the same, and it's around 16 to 20$ a plate currently. The place has little parking up front and a small eating area, so I highly recommend phoning in the order and picking it up to go. The katsu and beef dishes ironically are better than the chicken teriyaki dishes as well.“
