Wow ! I don’t even know how to start this review. My coworkers and I visit Vesta at least twice a week. Despite two recent incidents where the staff was rude, we continued to come back. My coworkers weight was talked about and laughed at. We were overcharged for gelato and told we couldn’t order it to take out (as we have done so many times). We had spoke to the manger and she apologized and corrected the mistake. Today for lunch we went in and were greeted and seated by the manger (short blonde haired woman) whom helped us the last time. We ordered our food, food came out timely and fresh as it always does. Usually when paying we all split with our credit cards and it takes them a little longer to do so. Our lunch is only an hour and we are on a time crunch today so I paid cash so the process would be faster. The guy took the money to the register and we noticed our waiter as well as the manger were there and they were all talking. The waiter brings back my cash and I ask for the receipt. He says sure he heads back with the receipt and the manger comes over to us and ask “was there something wrong with the service today ?” I replied no, she then asked again are you sure? So I thought she overheard my coworkers talking about how the water guy always laugh when we come in. So I told my coworker just tell her. My coworker informed her that every time we come in the water guy looks directly at us and laughs. She then responds “I don’t think it has anything to do with you, however that is not a reason for you not to tip, this is how our serves makes a living. When you get service you tip”. I was in SHOCK! She was very aggressive telling us about tipping. My coworker informed her we just received our change. She replied “I guess I’m confused because you did not tip the server.” There was a line of people wanting to be seated and I’m sure they heard her. I was speechless , I told her we have to get back to work. Every single time we have come here (twice a week) our bill is over $120 and we tip minimum $20. So that is $280 A WEEK, tip included. We have spent over $3300 in the last 6 months eating here. How dare she? I have never been so disappointed, and disgusted by the type of treatment we received here today. She see’s us every time and acknowledges us. I can not believe she has the audacity to aggressively scold us about a tip. How distasteful. TIPS are optional unless stated. We were actually going to leave a tip as we always do. We refer this restaurant to our fellow coworkers, we even plan company lunches here. We bring our family and friends here on the weekends. I will never patronize this business again and I will share my experience with my fellow healthcare coworkers. We will also be cancelling our monthly lunch meetings here. THIS IS NOT THE WAY YOU TREAT LOYAL CUSTOMERS!
