“A quick in and out for sliced meat. Whether it's for our shabu nights, stir fry dishes, or grilling, we like to use the beef slices here instead of getting it inside the GW market. For $10, you can get a pound of sliced meat. We usually get the angus and lamb slices. You can also ask for fattier or leaner slices of the angus, or get half and half. Come prepared with cash, I think they have a minimum for card. They also have other types of meats such as skewers, and they have other ingredients that are commonly used for hotpot.“

“We had the dim sum towards the end of service. The dim sum here was good, and is cheaper than going to an a la carte dim sum place. Adding drinks was only another 1.50, and you get a pretty good selection.Lina was great in helping us with the experience, as she explained the AYCE rules and was accommodating to all of our questions. She had even helped me bring things back to the table when she saw me struggling.Overall I would come back.“

“If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay. Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“

“Wow! What a wonderful experience! We had an early dinner on a Thursday evening to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was busy, but we were sat almost right away. The ambiance of the restaurant is the first thing that hit me. It was very dark, but in comforting way. It is a very small place. The server walked us through their choices and we were immediately served. We chose their silver level. The bone marrow and toast was crazy delicious. It was full of umami flavor. It was the perfect way to start off. We ordered the spicy miso and the house broth. Both were great. The spicy miso wasn't too spicy at the beginning, but rather rich and flavorful. It did build on the spice level when it became a bit more concentrated. The house was mild and light. These soups were refilled at appropriate times as well. The meats that were served with this were melt in your mouth amazing and only took a second to cook. The veggie platter that accompanied it was a nice assortment. They also had a serve your self rice/ condiment bar. It was very clean and had a great assortment of sauces. My favorite was mixing the sesame with a bit of soy sauce and spicy chilies. It also included eggs, rice and minced beef. We had three rounds of the amazing meat and finished up the veggies. We finished our meal with the green tea ice cream at the self serve station. It is a bit pricy, but worth every penny in my opinion. I can't wait to come back.Parking: Parking in the lot right in front of the restaurant was available for an early dinner on a Thursday. They also have parking around the back of the building as well.“

“Authentic Szechuan hot pot. Has all the usual items and the tomato broth is pretty flavorful if you want a non-spicy option. They have a mini bar with all the sauces and sides, plus some tasty desserts. My fave from there was the coconut jelly which has a nice addition of crunchy flakes that adds a nice texture and flavor. Faves for the hot pot itself was the ribeye and shrimp paste, the latter of which was served by the staff as they scooped them into balls for the soup. I would avoid the beef balls because they were pretty tough for my liking. Also the rice noodles require a lot of cooking and were still pretty chewy after a while.“

“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. “I've never really had Ramen before, but I am officially a fan after coming here. The service was on point the same lady was assisting all four tables with complete ease. She was refilling everyone's water asking if we needed anything. She was on top of all of it even answering the phone and just from hearing other people telling her that they enjoy the meals I know it's not just me saying it. I think it's safe to say everyone in there had a great meal tonight. The restaurant itself is not too big. There is about six or seven tables in there with several chairs to each table and comfy couches to sit on. It's not the biggest restaurant but it's perfect the way it is all of the Naruto decor was pretty cool to see too. I love how they had pictures up and drawings up. It just made it feel more homelike and I appreciate that vibe. I ordered the udon noodles in my Ramen because I prefer the thicker noodles and was not disappointed at all super yummy. Super tasty. Lots of flavor packed into the bowl. Nothing was overpowering as a perfect amount of flavor. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time tonight.“

“Prepare your taste buds for a wild ride because Nabemono Shabu Shabu is where the party's at! I recently visited this hot pot haven, and let me tell you, it was like stepping into a foodie's dream. Service That's So Good, You'll Wonder If You Entered a Spa:From the moment I walked in, the staff at Nabemono treated me like royalty. The service was so good; I half expected a red carpet to roll out as I made my way to the table. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. They even taught me how to shabu shabu like a pro without making me feel like a fish out of water. Veggie Delight - Mostly Washed, All Fresh:Now, let's talk veggies. I'm no botanist, but I know a crisp and fresh vegetable when I see one. Nabemono did not disappoint! The veggies were not only mostly washed but also as fresh as a morning breeze. It's like they plucked those veggies straight from the Garden of Eden and plopped them onto my plate. My carnivore instincts were momentarily put on hold as I devoured the colorful array of veggies. Who knew I could enjoy vegetables this much? Meat So Good, It's Almost a Crime:Let's not forget the star of the show - the meat. I swear, the meat at Nabemono was so good-looking; I almost asked it for its skincare routine. Each slice was like a work of art, marbled to perfection. The cook-it-yourself shabu shabu experience made me feel like a culinary genius, and the result was a mouthwatering masterpiece. I've never had a beefy experience like this before! Cleanliness that Deserves an Oscar:In the world of hot pot, cleanliness is next to deliciousness, and Nabemono nailed it. The place was as spotless as my grandma's Sunday best china. I could eat off the floor, not that I tried, but you get the point. The clean and cozy atmosphere added an extra layer of comfort to the entire dining experience. In conclusion, Nabemono Shabu Shabu is the real deal. With service so good, veggies so fresh, meat so fine, and a cleanliness standard that would put a surgical room to shame, this place is a culinary oasis. So, grab your chopsticks and head over to Nabemono for a shabu-tastic time! Your taste buds will thank you, and your funny bone will be tickled.“

“Food/Taste/ - good food overall. We ordered beef belly, lamb, pork intestines, king oyster mushrooms, and chicken wings. The chicken wings are amazing! Nicely seasoned and very moist; probably the best item we ate. The mushrooms are good but the earthiness is completely covered by the seasoning so not our favorite. Beef belly was a bit bland, the lamb was mostly seasoning but delicious, and the pork intestine was great. - very quiet during lunch hour in the spacious restaurant. The two chairs are the exact size of the table so it's fairly difficult to push in and out of your seat if you're shifted either direction. - server definitely felt like she didn't want to be there. The table next to us asked for their candles to be lit so the food stayed warmer and she gave a heavy sigh before walking away to get the lighter. When she delivered the skewers, she threw it on the plate without a word then walked away immediately.Value for - yummy food in general, service was quick but cold, and reasonable pricing.“

“We came here for a group dinner and they offer a private room setting. The food is 潮汕style from Southern China, so they have lots of seafood in the menu such as fresh water shrimp, scallop. They also have pig stomach soup which sounds weird but really tasty!“

“Great little local gem!Pricing straight forwardWe stop by here when we go see my mother in law, have had lunch and dinner service here multiple times, always shocked at the low cost.Give it a shot, but fair warningPlace is older, clean, friendly but older so don't be expecting fluff and glam, it's just a BBQ and Hot Pot place! We will definitely be back!“

“Solid AYCE shabu shabu spot in Alhambra. I think the floors can be cleaner, but it could just be that they are really old. At the time of my visit, it was raining outside, and they had buckets here and there to catch water dripping from the ceiling..They get crowded for dinner. I had to wait for a table on a week night. I only had three people in my party. There is plenty of parking because the parking lot is huge! It's near Big 5 and Top Island, but it's closer to the market and behind Starbucks. Each person has an individual pot and stove. You choose the soup base. You have the option to choose two soup bases, but what is weird is they will combine the two soups together! Had I known that, I would have just gotten one. I don't prefer to drink a mixed soup, but I guess it all goes down into the same place anyway. You order the meat from the server, 3-4 plates at a time. I think the meat was good. All the veggies, sauces, rice, and other ingredients are at the self-serve bars in the back. There are two rows, so there is a large variety!“

“Came here to try the liuzhou rice noodles so this review is limited to that, not their hotpot items. The noodle was tasty, especially with the chili oil, although some might not think it's the most authentic version. There are plenty of toppings and the bowl was quite filling.I like my noodle soup steaming hot and thought it could be improved a bit. They do have an induction stove on the table for hotpot and keeping your bowl warm. I just didn't want to wait while the noodle is soaking in the soup already. An an entry level 螺蛳粉 fan, it was still a very decent lunch.“

“It's ok. It was my first time trying hot pot, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. Food was good. We had a table of four, so I wish they had brought out meat more often or in larger portions for multiple people. Service was ok, just kind of slow.“

“The service was very smooth and our waiter was fun and polite. When ordering meat there is no limit per round and they will happily give you a whole stack of plates at once. For parties of six or more, there’s an 18% service charge which is separate from the tip.The meat is high quality, where the fatty cuts are fatty and the leaner cuts are rich in flavor. They slice the meat extra thin so it cooks in an instant, even the pork. The farmers market and sauce bar is pretty small though. I think other Momo locations have more options. Here, there wasn’t even sesame oil or soy sauce.“

“The food was fantastic. I ordered the Mongolian natural and spicy soup but it's just that the spicy one didn't taste spicy. The soup tasted amazing by itself. There were only 3 sauces provided: Sesame, BBQ, and I don't even know what that one was.The only con is just that with the price that they have I believe there are some better options out there, and they really need an actual sauce bar.“

“I thought this place was alright, nothing great but nothing bad. I'd say the spicy hotpot is on the milder side. If you want really spicy ones, go to LaoMaTou. I do however like the experience here. We got here at 2pm so not a lot of people, and our food came pretty fast. Lots of choices , comparable to HaiDiLao but much cheaper. Meat quality was good and the portion was good. 4 stars, recommend.“

“My mom loves shabu, so we have eaten at nearly every single one nearby. My old favorite used to be in Rowland, but slowly they started giving less meat and watering down their sauces. LOCATION: The hot pot is located in the far left corner of "Haven" plaza. This spot is small but in a popular location. I still remember when this plaza was rundown. Parking is widely available in the daytime. FOOD:I got the perfect ten combo. This comes with a 6-piece gyoza appetizer (your choice of chicken or pork), 10oz of angus beef, a premium soup base (default is pork bone), a standard veggie bowl, and white rice. The gyoza were a bit oily but still tasty! I ended up having toro instead of angus beef because my mom didn't realize when she ordered that toro was more fatty. The toro was really tasty and filling. The standard veggie bowl has lettuce, spinach, tofu, mushrooms, carrots, a piece of broccoli and a piece of taro. It also has some udon and ramen egg noodle. The soup base was ok. I think I would go with a more natural flavor next time. Also, beware, the mild is still spicy! If you don't want spicy, ask for "no spice."I love all the sauces! You get ponzu, sesame, and satay. There's also fresh green onion, garlic, minced radish, and chili sauce to add on your own.I like that the portions are huge and filling. The price isn't cheap, but if you aren't a big eater, you can easily get a second meal out of it. Would definitely come back!“
