“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“

“Prepare your taste buds for a wild ride because Nabemono Shabu Shabu is where the party's at! I recently visited this hot pot haven, and let me tell you, it was like stepping into a foodie's dream. Service That's So Good, You'll Wonder If You Entered a Spa:From the moment I walked in, the staff at Nabemono treated me like royalty. The service was so good; I half expected a red carpet to roll out as I made my way to the table. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. They even taught me how to shabu shabu like a pro without making me feel like a fish out of water. Veggie Delight - Mostly Washed, All Fresh:Now, let's talk veggies. I'm no botanist, but I know a crisp and fresh vegetable when I see one. Nabemono did not disappoint! The veggies were not only mostly washed but also as fresh as a morning breeze. It's like they plucked those veggies straight from the Garden of Eden and plopped them onto my plate. My carnivore instincts were momentarily put on hold as I devoured the colorful array of veggies. Who knew I could enjoy vegetables this much? Meat So Good, It's Almost a Crime:Let's not forget the star of the show - the meat. I swear, the meat at Nabemono was so good-looking; I almost asked it for its skincare routine. Each slice was like a work of art, marbled to perfection. The cook-it-yourself shabu shabu experience made me feel like a culinary genius, and the result was a mouthwatering masterpiece. I've never had a beefy experience like this before! Cleanliness that Deserves an Oscar:In the world of hot pot, cleanliness is next to deliciousness, and Nabemono nailed it. The place was as spotless as my grandma's Sunday best china. I could eat off the floor, not that I tried, but you get the point. The clean and cozy atmosphere added an extra layer of comfort to the entire dining experience. In conclusion, Nabemono Shabu Shabu is the real deal. With service so good, veggies so fresh, meat so fine, and a cleanliness standard that would put a surgical room to shame, this place is a culinary oasis. So, grab your chopsticks and head over to Nabemono for a shabu-tastic time! Your taste buds will thank you, and your funny bone will be tickled.“
“I went there on a sunday evening with a friend. There was ample parking. It wasn't crowded. We ordered a Dirty Latte and a Red Bean Teaser. The latte has a bit of sugar in it to my surprise. But it was good. The place has a lot of seats.“

“It's ok. It was my first time trying hot pot, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. Food was good. We had a table of four, so I wish they had brought out meat more often or in larger portions for multiple people. Service was ok, just kind of slow.“

“If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay. Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“

“One of my favorite spots for shabu shabu! I always go with the spicy broth or the mushroom! It's not all you can eat, so I usually spend about $75 a person when I go. They have some interesting meats like chicken feet and other exotic cuisine. Very authentic and very tasty! Join the yelp waitlist if possible!“

“Best pho I've ever had in my life. There's so much in there I was full for 18 days. During this time I was transported to nirvana valhalla and Betelgeuse. I returned in our own time as if only a second had past. Damon the owner greeted me and offered my samples and told me their process for making all the delicious soy based nuggets, they have pictures of all the menu items so very easy to order. Good opportunity to use google translate and brush up on your Vietnamese. cảm ơn bạn từ tận đáy lòng“

“Wow! What a wonderful experience! We had an early dinner on a Thursday evening to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was busy, but we were sat almost right away. The ambiance of the restaurant is the first thing that hit me. It was very dark, but in comforting way. It is a very small place. The server walked us through their choices and we were immediately served. We chose their silver level. The bone marrow and toast was crazy delicious. It was full of umami flavor. It was the perfect way to start off. We ordered the spicy miso and the house broth. Both were great. The spicy miso wasn't too spicy at the beginning, but rather rich and flavorful. It did build on the spice level when it became a bit more concentrated. The house was mild and light. These soups were refilled at appropriate times as well. The meats that were served with this were melt in your mouth amazing and only took a second to cook. The veggie platter that accompanied it was a nice assortment. They also had a serve your self rice/ condiment bar. It was very clean and had a great assortment of sauces. My favorite was mixing the sesame with a bit of soy sauce and spicy chilies. It also included eggs, rice and minced beef. We had three rounds of the amazing meat and finished up the veggies. We finished our meal with the green tea ice cream at the self serve station. It is a bit pricy, but worth every penny in my opinion. I can't wait to come back.Parking: Parking in the lot right in front of the restaurant was available for an early dinner on a Thursday. They also have parking around the back of the building as well.“

“Stepping into Joon Shabu Shabu was like opening the door to a dining experience that was not only new but truly magical, marking my delightful introduction to the art of hibachi-style soup creation. This wasn't merely a meal; it was an opportunity to dive into the exhilarating world of cooking right at your table, blending the joy of do-it-yourself cuisine with the comfort and elegance of dining out. The welcoming vibe, accentuated by tantalizing aromas, set a perfect stage for the culinary symphony that awaited. The team at Joon Shabu Shabu was exceptional, radiating a blend of genuine warmth and professionalism that made me feel immediately at home and cherished. Their guidance through the menu and the dining process was like having a personal culinary coach by our side, ensuring that my companion and I felt confident and excited about the adventure we were about to undertake. This thoughtful, non-intrusive support allowed us to savor the array of sauces and ingredients at our own rhythm, adding layers of joy and discovery to our meal.As we placed our orders, the excellence of service continued to shine. The dishes served were a feast not just for the taste buds but for the soul, with every bite bursting with freshness and flavor. The ingredients were abundant, and the equipment was so clean and simple to use, making the entire cooking process a breeze and incredibly fun.Visiting Joon Shabu Shabu was a transformative journey for me, turning what I presumed might be a complex dining style into a celebration of simplicity and conviviality. If you're ever in Glendale, I wholeheartedly encourage you to treat yourself to this gem of a restaurant. It's a place where your culinary dreams are met with a vibrant atmosphere and a chance to play chef, promising not just a meal but an uplifting experience that will brighten your day and warm your heart. Joon Shabu Shabu isn't just about satisfying your hunger; it's about creating memories that linger long after the meal is over.“
“A quick in and out for sliced meat. Whether it's for our shabu nights, stir fry dishes, or grilling, we like to use the beef slices here instead of getting it inside the GW market. For $10, you can get a pound of sliced meat. We usually get the angus and lamb slices. You can also ask for fattier or leaner slices of the angus, or get half and half. Come prepared with cash, I think they have a minimum for card. They also have other types of meats such as skewers, and they have other ingredients that are commonly used for hotpot.“

“Loved this place! Service is excellent and I particularly liked the salad bar-like hot pot area rather than having to order soooo much of everything. I (and my kids) always waste so much food (and spend sooo much more money) at the traditional hot pot places you cook the food yourself. If you like hot pot, but don't want to cook your own food (like a sucker ;), I highly recommend this cute little place!“

“Tensho occupies the former Kagaya location. While it offers the required A5 Wagyu cuts, their prime cuts are marbled and have a very tender consistency; plus an expanded seafood option for the hot pot. Unless you want to take a chance, reservations are highly recommended.“

“Came here after a long road trip with a big group and had an amazing experience! Great menu selection, and server helped recommend what to order, what dishes, vegetables, meats, noodles etc. Food came out quickly, they gave us a little cart for everything. They frequently came to clear empty dishes and help if we needed to order more. I highly recommend the scallion crispy pancake! The sauces are great, even better when mixed. The soup tasted great and we took some home too :) Highly recommend this place.“

“Authentic Szechuan hot pot. Has all the usual items and the tomato broth is pretty flavorful if you want a non-spicy option. They have a mini bar with all the sauces and sides, plus some tasty desserts. My fave from there was the coconut jelly which has a nice addition of crunchy flakes that adds a nice texture and flavor. Faves for the hot pot itself was the ribeye and shrimp paste, the latter of which was served by the staff as they scooped them into balls for the soup. I would avoid the beef balls because they were pretty tough for my liking. Also the rice noodles require a lot of cooking and were still pretty chewy after a while.“

“100% recommend this place. Ordered: -Potato Noodle -Fried Chicken Pro: -Potato noodle was really good. Chewy and savory. We got the seafood meatballs but they also have a beef one. The broth was spicy and not too heavy tasting. -The chicken was savory sweet, a bit sticky and a delight to eat! There are a lot of bones and the meat is slightly chewy which makes a pleasant texture. -Interior was clean, bright and cute -Plenty of parking inside the structure -Price is reasonable Con: -No credit card payment under $30“

“My wife loves the Hibiscus Tree Combo #1 loaded with marinated beef, shrimp, beef tripe, crab stick, fish ball, spam, quail egg, bean curd, bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, black fungus, winter melon. So much great stuff inside. We use DoorDash for food deliveries. But I've came by twice to pick up takeout. The parking lot is always full and hard to find parking so we prefer DoorDash and let them deal with the parking situation.“

“Have you had a dry Hot Pot?Tasty Dining has these Griddle Cooked Foods that comes with potatoes, cauliflower, celery and bean sprouts. You choose the proteins such as Bullfrog, Squid, Pork Ribs and Beef Short Ribs like I did! The squid was my favorite! I’d order a double portion of squid next time! There’s a variety of veggies, mushrooms, tofu and meat, like fish balls, quail eggs, crab sticks, beef tripe, pork belly and more for an extra charge. I added pork belly to one of my griddles. I’d order a double portion of pork belly next time! Adding all the extras can start to add up. But, I feel like these griddles need more protein. The flavors really packed a punch! You control the spice. Of course, I got extra mild for us.Griddle (mild spicy)✧ Bullfrog✧ added Pork RibsGriddle (mild spicy)✧ Squid✧ Beef Short Ribs✧ added Napa Cabbage✧ added Noodles✧ added Pork Belly“

“I think it’s the best beef noodle restaurant in Los Angeles. The cold summer noodles are delicious. The pork ribs in the pork rib rice are huge. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t accept credit cards. And the area seems a bit dangerous. I don’t dare to go there at night?“

“Everyone gets the peking duck here! The duck is roasted well - crunchy skins, barely any fat remaining under the skin. The meat, as Shirley H. wrote in her review, is mild in flavor, different from the Cantonese version or the smoked tea duck that I prefer. I like that they use the traditional thin crepes for the dish; it's served along with the shredded cucumber, beets, and green onions. In addition, the duck order comes with a choice of a dish made with the bone - either soup with duck bones, tofu, and Napa cabbage, or deep fry salt & pepper duck bones. We opted for the soup, which came at the end of the meal, and offered a satisfying wrap to the meal. Pro-tip: pre-order the duck a day ahead! We ordered two additional dishes and together, these were perfect for our party of four:- rainbow skin: a cold noodle salad dish- stir fry eggplant and string beans All in all, a solid Beijing restaurant, decent prices too!“

“I like the soup base to be medium spicy, but it's really too salty. The bone soup base is okay. Everything else I ate today was okay, except that the shrimp I got was a bit not fresh. I told the waiter when I paid, but he didn't really respond to me. Yes, the bill was reduced later, and the bowls in the snack area were all used up when I came. I didn't see them replenished until I left. I will come again for the ice powder and red bean porridge.“

“Beautiful ambience. Not AYCE so I had trouble trying to decipher the menu due to no pictures. I went with the half spicy (medium) and half bone broth. My favorites were the spicy broth, brisket cuts, hand pulled noodles, bamboo slices and daikon. The spicy broth is well seasoned and will numb your tongue. You will not need a sauce because the spicy broth is just that good. But beware on choosing your spice level. It's very spicy! Spent approx $180 which filled up 4 people.“

“The last time I had Guilin noodles was when I was in Guilin and purposes some roadside. It was served in a plastic bag, but it was one of the more comforting noodles I've had. Years later I noticed a few Guilin noodles place pop up. I decided to give this high Yelp-rated one a try!Food: Guilin noodles in soup with medium spice level - Thicker yet smooth rice noodles in a savory broth. Medium spice is perfect for me. Came with sliced meats and some pickled vegetables. Service: Very friendly wait staff. The waitress made various recommendations. She sold me on the chrysanthemum tea. It was good! Environment: The outdoor seating area is larger than the indoor seating. Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was near empty. Price: It's pretty reasonably priced for a large bowl of noodle soup. “I will go back. Not so good: The hour and half wait for a table of four. Must sign in. Do not go when hungry. First come first serve, until a party of four. There were two or three party of two signed in after us was called. The best part of the place: worth all the wait. Our waiter spoke Cantonese, much a plus. Extremely Busy, but he still managed to be attentive and keep providing a decent service. I love restaurants with waitstaffs working together. ask any wait staff, and I did not get "I am not your waiter." Wait staffs answered all my questions. The food is fresh, clean, tasty, and so many verities too.“

“Came here to try the liuzhou rice noodles so this review is limited to that, not their hotpot items. The noodle was tasty, especially with the chili oil, although some might not think it's the most authentic version. There are plenty of toppings and the bowl was quite filling.I like my noodle soup steaming hot and thought it could be improved a bit. They do have an induction stove on the table for hotpot and keeping your bowl warm. I just didn't want to wait while the noodle is soaking in the soup already. An an entry level 螺蛳粉 fan, it was still a very decent lunch.“

“The food was fantastic. I ordered the Mongolian natural and spicy soup but it's just that the spicy one didn't taste spicy. The soup tasted amazing by itself. There were only 3 sauces provided: Sesame, BBQ, and I don't even know what that one was.The only con is just that with the price that they have I believe there are some better options out there, and they really need an actual sauce bar.“

“I thought this place was alright, nothing great but nothing bad. I'd say the spicy hotpot is on the milder side. If you want really spicy ones, go to LaoMaTou. I do however like the experience here. We got here at 2pm so not a lot of people, and our food came pretty fast. Lots of choices , comparable to HaiDiLao but much cheaper. Meat quality was good and the portion was good. 4 stars, recommend.“

“If you have never done hotpot before, make sure you come with someone who knows. They are not good at explaining or helping out.I would recommend to come with 4 people at least, this way you can order to share more things (meat, fish, vegetables, whatever you like).I had the gold broth (chicken soup broth) and their original broth (spicy level 1). It felt very spicy to me but I usually like mild. So it makes sense.“
