“Parking can be a challenge depending on what time of the day. The menu does have some images to help illustrate the food. Staff is friendly, service is quick, we stopped by during lunch time. When we arrived the place was empty, when we left it was packed. The food portion is just right, does not put you into the food coma afterwards. They do have high chairs, so definitely kid friendly. This restaurant is located on the corner right across from where Daiso is located.“

“The udon was so so yummy. Service was fast. Inside is small but cozy. The noodles were so good and the flavor were so different. I would be careful with the clams because I bit into a piece of sand that was inside of it and cracked my tooth LOL. Hopefully they can clean their clams better next time but that does come with clams sometimes wherever you go!“

“Food was amazing, it was quiet and mostly empty when I went. There was a moment nearing the end of my meal when a Karen came in and sat herself, and started to hassle the server over mistranslation of words (from Japanese to English) so she yelled at them and stormed out. Either way, dinner and a show. And a complimentary miso soup would go back again for sure. Service 10/10“

“First time here and impressed with the taste of the food and care from the staff. The lomo saltado was super flavorful and the chicken katsu with pesto pasta was delicious. I loved how attentive and personal the staff was from offering suggestions to checking in on how our meal was progressing. Their in house fresh drinks were also amazingly tasty, whether it was the purple corn or passion fruit drink. Seating was comfortable with nice interior and parking was readily available in the plaza.“

“One of the best sushi restaurants I've tried hands down. First the ambience gives you calm and chill Tokyo vibes. Soft lighting and ample room. I went here on a first date after a long wait at Chubby Cattle KBBQ. After signing in at about 8:30pm on a Friday night we were seated no less than 20 minutes later. We were at the bar (which I prefer to watch the sushi chef at work) and he was very entertaining and had an amazing conversation as well. Now to the food, the appetizers were 7/10 as we ordered the mixed tempura, which was good but not anything to brag about, the crab cakes were lackluster and the baked green mussels were the standout but maybe because of the sauce. Now the rolls were a 9/10, my favorites being the truffle hunter which is topped with razor thin sliced raw onion giving it a cut between the earthiness of the truffle oil and also the red dragon roll which was amazing with tuna and garnished with fire and raw garlic. The Cajun roll was surprisingly good. It has the after taste of Tams fries seasoning. The Jessica albacore was fresh, spicy and well balanced it was a specialty roll. Also if you buy 4 rolls of the regular sushi menu(specialty rolls not included) you get 50% off the sushi rolls. We also ordered the Baked Scallop roll, which wasn't bad at all. It was just a generic version of the roll. Thats the only reason they got a 9/10 on the sushi. The pricing was not bad at all. Very worth the price. The customer service. Was stellar. I just noticed I forgot they had ramen. I'll be updating once I've had it.“

Ishi Sushi Japanese • $$
18888 Labin Ct c110, Rowland Heights

“Small, quite authentic Japanese restaurant. Sushi and sashimi were fresh and yummy. However, I couldn't say the same on the supposed grilled big octopus which was rubbery and does not taste fresh. The tempura was not crunchy enough and bland to taste, quite different from what I had before. Service is ok considering there's only one Japanese lady getting the orders and serving the food. I guess because they are not that busy. Nevertheless, service is a bit compromised. Overall, I think it's ok to give the restaurant another chance, so I will come back and try the food again.“
