We came here for my husbands birthday, we got their at 3:30 pm, since they close at 6 pm. I had the double stack burger, it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bread was so soft, the patties were tender and cooked médium well. It was so good. The fries were extra crisp and salty, I love fries, I would go back just for the fries! We love coming here. Fantastic spot, dog friendly, live music depending on the day, good drinks and a few vegan options. It can be a lot of sun, so bring a hat or sunscreen. Be prepared sometimes there can be quite a wait.

I work on the island and my xo workers and I go to mersea every Friday for some great drinks and delicious fish and chips and pizza. The fried broccoli appetizers are awesome as well! To top it off the owner always comes and says hi and I’m the staff is very pleasant!
