Stopped in on Wednesday and was broken hearted that it's the only day that it's closed. Making up and going today for my calamari fix. Just the best. I made it! Add three packets of Tapatio hot sauce and a squeeze of lemon to dip sauce, delicious!
What a delicious treat. We walked down the Embarcadero for a few miles, passed through Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Pier 39 was pretty busy, but nothing stood out, everything looked the same as it always does. Pier 39 was so run down. Found this place and they are just a few blocks away from Fishermans Wharf. TLDR: It's the most reliable fish and chip store. I've tried this place at various times in a more than 5 year span and it has always been good. Can and will always recommend. Fish: Batter isn't too thick, and the fish has a flaky solid bite. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with seasoning that won't overpower the mouth. Shrimp: The same solid battering with the same seasoning profile. Shrimp was not overcooked and it provides a different texture compared to the fish....read full review
