“Everything about one’s experience here is superb. From the moment you walk in until the completion of the meal - it is top tier service. They care about all the details, from the freshness of each ingredient to the suggestions and pairings of items. We started with the olives and avocado salad - the olives were warm and juicy, and the salad was fresh and light. Paired well together! We also ordered both the squid ink special pasta and the truffle - they were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the garlic Parmesan focaccia and finished off with the chocolate mousse dessert. 10/10 recommend, everything was perfect!“
“The service was great and super friendly. Clam chowder is awesome. Nice place to sit outside near the pier and have some oysters and drinks. The squid salad was a little bland, I think if they included more olives in it the saltiness would go a long way. Not enough of an issue for me to give less than 6 stars.“
“Scoma's was one of the highlights of my summer last year. It was at Scoma's that I discovered that I am, in fact, a Lazy Man who requires Lazy Man's Cioppino. The restaurant is lovely, tucked away on a pier. The service was wonderful -- the waitress was really nice and seemed to love the food. The lazy man's cioppino was incredible! A warm, savory, thick tomato broth with perfectly cooked seafood. The mussels and clams were so juicy and succulent. The scallops (3) were so good, fat, and tender. The shrimp was yummy and not overcooked. The fish was well cooked -- not my favorite component, but still good. And of course, no need to get down with the crab shells since the crab meat has been pre-picked. I am a lazy man and this is my cioppino of choice. Definitely worth the price! The Rockefeller oysters were meh; too much cheese and spinach. I've had better broiled oysters (Acme in NOLA!). The oysters themselves were good, but it was hard to tell under the cheese sauce. We were seated next to a couple who had moved from the Bay to the East Coast, and cited Scoma's as a reason why they missed the Bay. I definitely want to return during future visits to SF!“
“Showed up around 10:45 on a Monday and waited 10 minutes. Thee friendliest service I've had in SF, felt like eating at my Uncles house. I've server was very accommodating and friendly, super casual and comfy service. Seafood was crazy fresh with all sorts of ways to indulge. Oysters were by far our favorites, followed by the clam chowder. A beer on tap and ice tea to wash it all down. Iconic!“
“Everything was great. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, the ambiance is spot on. The only thing that could have improved is the timing of our food. We were at the restaurant for 2.5 hours. That’s not including the 50 minutes we waited to get seated.“
“My husband and I love coming to Fogo. For the first time I’m not really happy about it because our waiter Willie, forgot about us, never brought my tag for my lunch, our drinks and bread were over and never checked on us BUT as always Nelson (gaucho) came in and rescued us! He’s always so attentive, nice and looking forward to being whatever we want. We love his service! As always, Nelson… you are a jewel, THANKS!“
“T and his staff make you feel like home. First time coming here the owner, T, greeted us and made it feel like we’ve been coming here for years. His staff is extraordinary and the food is just amazing. Been coming here once a month ever since“
“We had an amazing experience at Abrazo with our friends! We tried a lot of tapas and all of them were simply delicious. I would particularly recommend the charred octopus, croquetas, albondigas, and gambas. The paella was exceptional, it was one of the best I have ever had in the States. I enjoyed my Rioja a lot. The restaurant had a very lovely vibe and it reminded me of the restaurants in Madrid. The people were kind and the service was excellent. So, I would recommend Abraza to anyone around.“
“Fine dining price & portion but slightly underwhelming. Everything was good but not WOW. Service was mehWe enjoyed the bluefin tuna tostada and the sakura toast the most. The strawberry scallops were also great.Overall overpriced for what it is.Atmosphere was nice though.“
“La Ciccia is a gem of San Francisco. If you like Italian cuisine and you like seafood, you must try this Sardinian restaurant, featuring a seafood-heavy Italian cuisine that's unlike most Italian restaurants in the area.I thought the place closed, and only recently learned that the restaurant survived the original owners retiring. A real estate agent who lived a couple of blocks away and who was a regular customer decided to purchase the business. They kept all the staff, including the head chef. Supposedly, it was just as good as under the original owners. We were certainly pleased with our visit. We started with simply grilled squid and an order of their Sardinian flatbread, pane carasau. The flatbread reminds me of Indian papadam, but flavored with olive oil and intense rosemary. For her entree, Marcia got the house specialty -- homemade spaghetti with spicy olive oil and shaved bottarga (cured fish roe). Whenever we've gone to La Ciccia, at least one of us orders this dish, and in this visit, it did not disappoint.I decided to try something different and get the fettucine with a tomato and sea urchin sauce, topped with a shaving of cured tuna heart. I love Marcia's pasta with bottarga, but I'm so glad I tried something new. The sauce was amazing -- the tomatoes didn't overpower the sea urchin, and that wonderful flavor of the sea shined right through. For dessert, we split the chocolate panna cotta. It was fine. Marcia liked it more than me. Toasted hazelnuts added a nice texture and flavor to the dish.“
“Every dish was delicious, original, flavorful, and memorable. Managed to not get over anchovies despite having it in almost every dish. Definitely recommend the gravlax, jerky, focaccia, and sundae. Duck schnitzel was good but not on par with the rest.“
“Stepping into, one is immediately struck by its excellent ambiance, a blend of elegance and warmth that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The service, too, was impeccable, with attentive staff ready to cater to every need. However, the journey took a slight detour when our eagerly awaited dishes arrived, only to find them disappointingly cold. Despite the initial chill, the standout of the evening was undoubtedly the risotto. Served piping hot and bursting with flavor, it was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. The fillet mignon, unfortunately, failed to meet expectations, arriving cold and lacking the desired tenderness. Even the truffle fries shared the same fate, arriving at our table with a noticeable chill. To their credit, the staff quickly acknowledged the oversight, going above and beyond to rectify the situation. Not only were we not charged for the subpar steak, but we were also treated to complimentary desserts. And what a treat they were! The desserts not only delighted the palate but also dazzled the eyes, a true testament to the artistry of the pastry chef. In conclusion, while the culinary journey had its ups and downs, the exceptional service and the culinary prowess showcased in dishes like the risotto and the stunning desserts left a lasting impression. With a bit more attention to detail in ensuring dishes are served at the appropriate temperature, Miller &Lux has the potential to truly shine as a culinary gem in the City“
“This is one of my favorites in the Marina. Constantly very high quality food. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want it to get too crowded. They are very close to getting a Michelin star! Omg get the pavlova for desert. Their fish is amazing too.“
“We just had a nice and quick dinner here. Cocktails and steak. Straight forward. Very decent place, tasty filet mignon, good mashed potatoes. Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. Even the cocktails were really nice. And we got a place without reservation. So all in all a very nice experience.“
“Great spot if you are solo or with a partner. Amazing atmosphere for two cases. I came in to try the oyster chowder and it was phenomenal 5/5. I had the amber beer they had on tap and it was delicious. I was fortunate to have the owner man the bar and had a pleasure talking to him. I look forward to coming back and becoming a regular whenever I’m in the city. - some places you stop in and you can tell right away someone takes great care of the place and it’s usually family owned. Much love and respect for the owners and the comfortable, safe space they created.“
“Incredibly fresh fish place. Looking at market prices and catch of the day, but everything on the menu you know will be fresh. Pretty stacked line at anytime you come so be prepared to wait. Ceviche good, tacos great, and plenty of outside seating, you just have to be on the prowl.“
“Food, service, atmosphere all satisfactoryOrdered Jjajangmyeon, Jjambbong, sweet and sour pork, walnut shrimp, and fried dumplings.Everything was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The owner was really friendlyBe sure to find parking on the nearby streets, and be sure to bring your luggage with you to avoid getting lost!“
“Best and most delicious lunch deal (3 courses including a signature ice cream sundae) in the city. Located on the waterfront across from ferry building, Angler offers an unparalleled dining experience that seamlessly blends exquisite seafood, fresh and roast vegetables, whole chicken, and delectable steak. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with the freshest ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Whether you're indulging in the tender and crispy roast chicken (like Peking duck style), savoring the flavors of the sea with their seafood specialties, or relishing the perfectly cooked steak, every bite is a journey of culinary delight. Angler truly stands out as the epitome of one of the finest dining experience in the city.“
“Wonderful seafood restaurant. Started with a dozen oysters - there were three different types and they were all fresh. For mains we split a Dungeness crab and the large bowl of Cioppino among 3 people. The food was delicious and the service was perfect.“
“Among many excellent Italian spots in the city, this stood out. The homemade pasta has the perfect texture, and the fillings and sauces are delicate and wonderful. Service was kind and attentive, and the space - a favorite when it was Locanda and Ancora - remains intimate and elegant. Looking forward to another opportunity to dine.“
“This restaurant feels like it exists somewhere in between what could be a local haunt and a tourist trap. It has a versatile yet contained menu that has a little bit of something for everyone. The burrata appetizer was perfectly executed for a place that isn't designated Italian, and the salad offerings really stood out. I had the ahi tuna and for $20 wish I had a couple more pieces of Ahi but the flavors and seasoning were fantastic. I especially loved the little pieces of sushi style ginger mixed within - delicious. It should also be noted that the service was exceptional, toeing the line between attentive and breathable to a T. They even had an extra kale salad made by accident and brought it over complimentary as we waited for the last of our party to arrive. A+“
“Hands down, literally the best dinner I've ever had! From the wine, to Bruschetta appetizer, to meat canneloni and the best tirimissu I've ever had. I'm remember this dinner for a long time! The service was unbeatable as well.. hidden gem!“
“I really enjoyed my meal there last night. Ordered the vegan combo with the gluten-free teff injeera. The only thing I had to send back were the side order of mushrooms. I requested little or no oil and the dish was drowning in oil. They took it back, no problem and removed the item from my bill. I will go back!“
“There are not enough stars to describe the experience. The food was not only incredible but the presentation was beautiful. The service was magical from the hot towels to the goodie bag you go home with. The space is fabulous and I would go back in a heartbeat ?“
“Atwater tavern is the go to spot of Mission Bay! Warriors game ✅ Giants Game ✅ Special Events ✅ Great Drinks, Nice sized portions.Cheeseburger, Chicken Wings, Steak & Shrimp, Flatbread Pizzas all things to try at this place.Parking: Atwater has free and paid spacesKid-friendliness: Yes plenty of kid options availableWheelchair accessibility: Accessible and available. Always suggested to call ahead for guaranteed comfort“
“Best oysters I’ve had since ones at a Michelin star restaurant in Copenhagen. Their homemade Serrano garlic hot sauce makes me never want any others on an oyster. The hot oyster selections were an equally as great choice, with the miso bone marrow reigning on top, but this place got my pescatarian girlfriend to try the Panchetta leaning hot oyster choice. The char the cauliflower makes me feel insecure in my own veggie or even meat searing abilities as they’ve achieved a perfect char. The halibut crudo was delicious but I do feel it lacked a bit of acid or citrus to really elevate it to what I expected. On top of the food the drinks were phenomenal, the white wine spritz tasted like the worlds best vanilla sprite or a creamsicle drink better than anything you could imagine, shoutout to our waiter for recommending The yuzu lavender drink was also an all star and was refreshing while sweet and danced over own tongues. The orange wine was also stunning an entry level close to a resiling that taught me orange wine is worth a shot.“
“Palette Tea House & Dim Sum is a winner. Located in the Ghirardelli (Chocolate) Square in downtown San Francisco, the dim sum is artfully hand crafted to perfection. The ingredients are fresh; mushrooms hand picked locally; premium wagyu steak; refined Jasmine tea; calming ambience; professional staff; delectable flavors. Highly recommended. Good luck with street parking ?“
“We went here for dinner yesterday, the food and service was absolutely incredible! I can’t believe how each dish had so many great flavors. We ordered several dishes ranging from vegetarian to meats, all were spectacular! Thank you for introducing Burma food to us!“
“My wife and I are on vacation in SF and picked Fog Harbor based on recommendation from a family who lives up there. We were able to secure a reservation, were seated promptly at our reservation time and had a very attentive waiter. The blue cheese garlic bread was awesome, but way too much for two people. We split a garden salad and the mixed grill and added crab to it. They have two menu items that are crab in the shell, but you can add crab meat to any other entree. The mixed grill had salmon, cod, shrimp, and the crab. All were excellent. Green beans were the veggie and were cooked perfectly and buttery. We passed on dessert as the rest was very filling, though the dessert tray looked tasty when we saw it go by a couple times. The views of the bay are beautiful with the sun setting over the Golden Gate just as we sat down. Overall, definitely recommend. “This was one of the best seafood meals that I had in a long time. The portions are huge. I had the scallops brocolett & carrots for my main course along with a crab cocktail & a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. I highly recommend this place!“
“In just two short months, it's already my third visit to this restaurant. This restaurant is a great choice for a date, not only because the food is delicious, but also because the overall dining atmosphere is particularly pleasant.I highly recommend their fries, which are not too salty and fried to perfection, very tasty, and you can feel the chef's delicate craftsmanship. The steak is cooked to perfection and I highly recommend it as well. The chocolate soufflé dessert has a moderate sweetness, with a slightly bitter chocolate flavor, and is accompanied by banana ice cream, which is a truly beautiful combination.“
“I came here last night for date night dinner and it was so good. My husband has been on this fish and chips thing lately and this is favorite by far.*The fish was tender and the outside was crisp and light. French fries were nice and hot.The tartar sauce and was also light and not too heavy on the mayo.* clam chowder the bowl size is perfect for sharing. Nice clumps of potatoes and seafood*lobster roll the bread had a nice sweetness and butter. Crispy and light. The lobster was fresh and sweet. Good portion as well when it came to the lobster. The seating is comfortable for small groups and the wait staff is very friendly.I can’t wait to have another date night!“
“The dinner prix fixe was stellar. Each dish was special and interesting, and balanced. The care that the staff gave us was personal and thoughtful, and they tailored to our dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions. Just share with your server!“
“My husband and I came to San Francisco for a short vacation and the concierge at our hotel recommended we find this alley where we would have many choices of what kind of food we wanted. We chose Cafe Tiramisu and were so happy we did! The pizza was perfectly thin and the gnocchi was delicious!!“
“I ordered the Poke special combo earlier this week and it was delicious. It came with a serving of spicy salmon poke, rice, a pack of dried seaweed, and a bottle of water. I'm not the biggest fan of raw fish, but the poke was so chewy and flavorful with a nice balance of savory, spicy, and some sweetness. I liked that the salmon pieces were cut small, so they could soak up more of the sauce. Really good value for fresh and yummy fish!!“
“Luke's Lobster is located in the heart of the city and jt offers a taste of Maine's famous lobster. Lobster rolls are filled with generous portions of tender lobster meat and served on buttery, toasted rolls. The menu also includes other seafood options such as shrimp and crab rolls, chowders and salads. I find small shrimp roll to be very filling as a lunch option. Crab roll, based on other Bodega Bay restaurants I visited, is just ok. I only had it once. The casual atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the overall experience.“
“An outstanding lunch. We ordered a rose and the GM (Rich) came out and said it hadn't been chilled so they were putting it on ice. In the meantime, he poured each of us a glass from a different (read better) to enjoy while the other one chilled. That's great service.Did I mention the food and view were j6st as exceptional?“
“Awesome place for an intimate evening. Personal service, a complimentary glass of wine, Wonderful food, yum. Or in our case, for the annual Birthday gathering of a four decade fan of Pacific Cafe- Happy Birthday Lee Brady, a beautiful 1929 woman. No reservations. Parking is creative. Get there nlt 430pm for 1st seating ❤️ Don’t miss it. P.S. Tonight, the Zanze cheesecake was the lightest and fluffiest I’ve ever had and their Mitchell’s Vanilla Ice cream is divine.“
“Terrific breakfast restaurant, with amazing detailed Americana decor. The swedish pancakes are excellent. The coffee is hot and delicious. Our waitress was terrible and completely ignored us. Don't let our waitress stop you from coming to this San Francisco icon of a restaurant.“
“Visited here a few times on my last visit to San Francisco. Fantastic place with friendly Staff and a lovely waterfront view. The food is amazing as well, particularly the BBQ chicken wings which were absolutely lush! Definitely recommend and will be back on my next visit!“
“Food was good, ordered the chefs tasting course meal , service was ok , previous experience was better , nice ambiance , but was notified by one the employees that one of the heater was not working because it will turn off and just gas comes out but earlier went asked to turn them on they turned so we were exposed to gas for a little bit“
“We decided to visit Sura Sushi for a casual workday late dinner. Our experience was nothing short of delightful. We started with Buri Daikon soup, which provided comforting warmth.Opting for a selection of Nigiri and Sashimi, we were thoroughly impressed. Each piece showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. From the Chu Toro to the O Tor, Engawa to Sunazuri, and Hotate, every bite was a symphony of flavors and freshness. Highly recommend this place.“
“Excellent food and service at this Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant in the Sunset area. We shared a set menu of Roasted Dungeness Crab that came with a small but delicious Cabbage Chicken Salad (Goi Ga), Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), and buttery Garlic Fried Noodles. The Fried Chicken Wings were crispy but on the sweet side. The food came out promptly and our waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. Prices were on par with other similar SF establishments. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant was full on a rainy weeknight when we were thefe. Parking was rather hard to find, so give yourself time, or better yet, don't drive!“
“A cute mom and pop Korean restaurant that is pretty small but we were able to get seating for our party of 4 at around 5 pm on a Sunday night. The staff was so kind and helpful, always refilling our tea kettle and checking up to make sure everything was good. We also loved the different banchan they gave in the beginning like the fish tofu, cucumbers and kimchi. HaeMul Pa Jun (Seafood & Veggie Pancake) - One of mine and my dad's favorite seafood pancakes that we've tried. The pancake is loaded with so many ingredients and has a batter that is light and airy. The sauce on the side is what adds the sweet and savory flavor. Gal Bee (Short Ribs) - The pieces they give are so big, juicy and soft. The meat easily comes off the bone and the marinated sauce gives the meat a lot of sweetness and richness. Seafood Soft Tofu - The dish came out hot and a perfect level of spiciness. It was rich, salty, sweet and a very comforting dish. Everything from the tofu to different seafoods were the perfect consistency inside. Dolsott Bibimbap - Always get it in the stone pot because it makes the rice at the bottom crunchy and adds another layer of texture to the dish. Pretty classic with the vegetables, meat and sauce but tasted good all together. Overall, so well priced for the portions and quality of food we got. I highly recommend it if you're in the Richmond area wanting some traditional Korean dishes.“
“We heard good things about Brothers so we decided to check it out, and as we came with four people, we went with the four people tasting menu. The 4 person tasting menu had kalbi, bulgogi, your choice of spicy pork or chicken, japchae, and spicy tofu soup. It also came with rice and banchan, which had a pretty good variety. There's a few points that makes Brothers a solid KBBQ place. The quality of the meats was pretty high quality, but that is to be expected considering the tasting menu was ~$36 per person. The portions are also solid as we were all feeling full after. The service was also quite good as they refilled our banchan quite quickly. Overall, I would say that Brothers is a solid choice for KBBQ in the city and would be happy to come back here again“
“Just had a phenomenal meal with a large group to celebrate a great friend. The food was incredible - we seriously had almost every item on the menu. Everything was delicious but my top three were the Lechon Paella, the Tomate, and the Chuleton; it was difficult to not eat second and third helpings of each of those, but I knew we had several more tasty dishes to come. The service was fantastic; my sangria and water glasses were full at all times and we never had a moment without something yummy on the table in front of us. We had quite a bit left over and everything was boxed a labeled for us so we could take home more of what we loved. I highly recommend Bellota if you have a special occasion or if you just want to have a fantastic dining experience.“
“Absolutely fantastic! That would be our summed up review. With the white interior and glass counters displaying all seafiidnavailablenfornthe day, the first impression was an upscale fish shop. With small tables on the side, we ordered our selections at the small counter, prepaid, and Satoko at one of the tables. Not crowded on a Saturday morning but many people came by to buy back. 4 types of oysters were available that morning so we had a half-dozen each (Miyagi, St. Simon, Standard Shore, and Kusshi). Few places offer oysters this early in the morning. Fresh and delicious. Kusshis remain our favorite, small but tasty! The clam chowder was rich and creamy. We shared a 16oz. It was filled with clams and potato... so much goodness! The Spanish Octopus Carpaccio was delightfully presented and in a generous portion. Sliced really thin, tasted fresh, not as chewy as one would expect. One of the best ways to eat octopus, I think. Last but not least, the Hamachi Crudo. This was AMAZING! I cannot describe it well enough with words. Fresh hamachi of course, with peppers, nuts (beware if you have allergies), caramelized onions, dill, and a bed of thick gravy-like dressing that perfectly accompanied the hamachi. Excellent dish!“
“Stopped here for a quick lunch while visiting family at CPMC. I enjoy finding different cuisines when in SF and Piroo was a great find. While they don’t have an extensive menu, they have more than enough options to suit any tastes. I had the pork jhol momo and it was great. Just the right amount of savory and spice to make it memorable. They also serve beer and wine to round out your meal.“
“Walked in to the quiet and unassuming location and left sated and with an overly full belly!I began with a spicy tako salad - a perfect mix of tako, cucumber, seawead and a sprig of mint. Enough spice to feel for a few minutes afterwards while my sushi was being prepared.First up was a trio of Salmon belly, Hamachi belly, and Toro. Each one was more delicated and delicious than the previous. Next were two great pieces of Ama Ebi with perfectly fried heads. The Sexy Roll followed - a mixture of Hamachi and avacado topped with more Hamachi, Green tobiko and jalapeno. My desert round was Mackerel, Scallop, and the Buddhilicous Roll. The service was exceptional and the value for what I paid was outstanding. My only negative was self-inflicted and that's because I only found this spot on my last free evening in town.I'll be back for sure...“
“When your clients decide on Liholiho Yacht Club as the place to meet to design their future wedding rings ?Food is communal by nature, as a result, I was amazed by the fruitfulness our meeting yielded — as we departed, our spirits soared with inspiration and excitement for what’s to come ?“
