“At last! A local restaurant with several vegan options for brunch. Today I had a tofu salad with a lot of fresh and tasty veggies and nuts and it was delicious. Next time I will try their tofu scramble and perhaps the buckwheat pancakes with lingonberries (if they are egg free). Also the freshly squeezed grapefruit was large and actually freshly squeezed on the spot. Thumbs up Salt and Pepper.“

“A staple of tiburon. A place that has phenomenal views, amazing drinks and delicious food. Def a must when in the area. Tried two of their cocktails - the one with the jalapeño was def amazing then I went with the Negroni. Also ordered the lobster roll which was so good. The buttered bread was def perfection. The clam chowder..bc duh. And also tried the blue cheese garlic bread which was also really good! Sam's def doesn't disappoint.“

“When I step into The Royal Cuckoo in the Mission, SF, it feels like I've entered a time capsule of cozy charm. The retro decor and dim lighting instantly make me feel at home, like I've stumbled upon a hidden gem in the city. And when the live music starts, the atmosphere becomes electric thanks to those one of a kind very professional jazz musicians. Whether I'm catching up with friends or simply enjoying a quiet drink, The Royal Cuckoo never fails to make me feel welcome and right at home in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district.“

“One of the best at what they do. A bar like this doesn't need to entertain you with food options. This is the before and after location based solely from their above-average drink selections. Getting lost in the jungle of a lounge they have and being prescribed the perfect libation by their talented bartenders is enough to keep you for a couple rounds. It's what a cocktail bar should be: cozy, inspiring, and delicious. I'll be back.“

“Such a cute spot to grab yummy drinks. We went on a Friday at around 9 PM, wasn't busy so we were able to be seated right away. There's a good amount of seating. The ambiance is cozy. The bartenders are very nice and friendly. I love playing pool, and there's one pool table. 3 games for $5. I ordered the Hot Gurl Summer it was flavored with a good amount of spices. My friend ordered the Blushing Dragon, and that was DELICIOUS! I loved the passion fruit flavor. The Save Me a Piece of That Corn was a good, mixed tequila drink. Highly recommend Kona's!“

“"Breaking bread" and the octopus were the only two good dishes we had. The salads, baklava, and grilled oysters were just okay while the lamb and stuffed squid entrees were incredibly bland. I'd say this is your classic trendy "small plates meant for sharing" restaurant that has all the hype and none of the actual delivery. Prices are ridiculous for the portion sizes. Service was attentive but cold. Their menu seemed super interesting, so I'd go back one more time to give them another shot. But overall, I wasn't terribly impressed by my first visit.“

“Exactly what millennials want and need: reasonable volume music, reasonable priced food and drink, and a classy but fun VIBE.Quality: 4.5Value: 5 (for SF)Service: 4Ambience: 5This place has great happy hour deals and a really great set of decor and music. You can head yourself talk! But the music is also good. What a concept!Service was a little mid; one of the servers wasn't in a great mood/was struggs but the rest were nice, and stuff came out eventually. The cocktails were GREAT! Really delightful choices and prices.Their happy hour deal on oysters is also pretty unheard of: $1.50 each and they were wonderful, briny and creamy.French fries were also great, as was the ceviche. Also, the ceviche we had was one of the best I've ever had.“

“Awesome neighborhood bar spot to watch sports or just hang out with friends. Everyone is pretty nice and the staff is always on point. Prices are probably one of the most reasonable you will find in SF. You can get yourself a bucket of beers and play pool, darts or shuffle board. It’s also nice to sit with a drink and watch the cable cars go by.“

“Highly recommend! Great food“
“Absolutely fantastic! That would be our summed up review. With the white interior and glass counters displaying all seafiidnavailablenfornthe day, the first impression was an upscale fish shop. With small tables on the side, we ordered our selections at the small counter, prepaid, and Satoko at one of the tables. Not crowded on a Saturday morning but many people came by to buy back. 4 types of oysters were available that morning so we had a half-dozen each (Miyagi, St. Simon, Standard Shore, and Kusshi). Few places offer oysters this early in the morning. Fresh and delicious. Kusshis remain our favorite, small but tasty! The clam chowder was rich and creamy. We shared a 16oz. It was filled with clams and potato... so much goodness! The Spanish Octopus Carpaccio was delightfully presented and in a generous portion. Sliced really thin, tasted fresh, not as chewy as one would expect. One of the best ways to eat octopus, I think. Last but not least, the Hamachi Crudo. This was AMAZING! I cannot describe it well enough with words. Fresh hamachi of course, with peppers, nuts (beware if you have allergies), caramelized onions, dill, and a bed of thick gravy-like dressing that perfectly accompanied the hamachi. Excellent dish!“

“The dishes served here are creative takes on Italian cuisine from the Abruzzi region, specifically the town of Ofena where the chef Tim’s grandparents were born. The season’s produce plays a huge role in his choice of appetizers and entrees. The cocktails are similarly creative, and although we usually drink wine rather than cocktails, we were delighted to try the ones on the menu here. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is light and airy.Parking: Parking meters are free after 6 pm and only $1 per hour before“

“Had run an errand in the area, was hungry, did a search and came here. Frankly, we weren't expecting much--it is a sports bar attached to a hotel. When we walked in, the hostess was on the phone, talking with someone about a position at the restaurant (she didn't smile or acknowledge that we or the man in front of us had entered). She wasn't particularly welcoming when she got around to seating us. However, the menu was eclectic and it turned out that the food was fantastic! The chicken matzo ball soup was very fresh tasting--nice broth, fresh celery, carrots, and shredded chicken. The latkes were outstanding--thin, crisp shredded potatoes with HOUSEMADE apple sauce of diced apples (not the jarred stuff). Another fabulous dish was the tombo tuna poke with housemade rice crackers (the only downside was the price--it was expensive for a smallish serving). I didn't take pictures because I wasn't expecting much but it was a great experience. I've put Floodwater on my list to go back to whenever we are in the area.“

“Lily and her family make a great team. Very friendly bar, with good service and generous measures of drinks at very reasonable prices. “Got a great parking spot across the street in front of Now Valley Bakery, which is not always the case on 24th Street. We were meeting friends there in the back outdoor area. TVs at every booth and you just ask the server to change the channel - we wanted to see the Giants. Midday beers on St Patrick’s Day weekend and it was lovely out. Lots of locals go there, so we saw a few friends. Service was great and I was introduced to the Black Velvet: Prosecco and Guinness! Sounds kind of awful but it was great. Our server was Shanna and she’s so much fun and works hard. Took great care of us!“
“There is a lot to like about the Chapel. It's an attractive and intimately sized room. The booking is eclectic. The staff is nice. It's well located (although parking sucks in the mission) so maybe take BAR, MUNI or UBER. All that said, I've been to two shows there in the last week and the sound for each of them pretty much sucked. In each case the mix was such, that one or two instruments dominated. It was really hard to hear the vocals. It was two different sound men, so perhaps the problem is in the system. There are two flying line arrays on each side and some lower fill monitors also on the side but not pointed towards the center. So maybe they need to figure out a center fill component. In any case, if left feeling like I got less than the full show, because I couldn't really hear the vocals and other elements of the band.“

“Had nice, relaxing brunch. The Fiaker goulash was good. Kid subbed hash browns for caraway potatoes and the hash browns were divine. The caraway potatoes were great too. Pretzel for app was delicious. Looked forward to the wiener schnitzel with great anticipation and it was oh so close! But it was the one disappointment -- the fry was light and crispy, and I appreciate having a pork loin schnitzel (chicken doesn't qualify). But the one thing is that it was WAY TOO buttery. I couldn't taste anything but butter. It came with a great, light potato and cucumber salad. I tried lightening the schnitzel with the provided lingonberry sauce but that also somehow tasted of butter. Only the mustard provided with the pretzel helped offset the butteriness. Looking for a replacement for Suppenkuche's wiener schnitzel and this comes the closest except for the over butteriness. So for now, the best schnitzel in SF is at Radhaus.“

“Our dinner at Luna Blu was absolutely wonderful. Our table had an amazing view and Antonio, our server, took care of us in the most perfect way. Both my husband and I got the filet, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Brussels sprouts highly recommended, nice and crispy as they should be! If you are looking for a special dinner location, Luna Blu is the place to go!“
