“What a local gem! 10/10 hospitality, excellent professional customer service from Daniel. He guided me through the creation of my chilaquiles, recommending the green sauce so I could taste all the flavors. Since it was my first time, he even offered churros and a cup of Cafe de Olla to try. I went with the medium 26oz chilaquiles with egg, chorizo, and green sauce. It was more than enough food and was delicious! Cafe de Olla was amazing and wasn't overpowering with cinnamon like other spots. Don't forget to end with the churros!“

“Stopped by for lunch on a weekday and was seated right away. The waitress was so sweet and even though she was alone, always had a smile and gave amazing service. Got the classic noodle (spicy), which also comes with rice at the end to mix the rest of the sauce. The noodles are so bouncy, chewy, and soaked up the amazing flavor of the sauce. It also had a good kick to it since I got it spicy. So happy to have found an amazing spot to eat near home!“

Every piece has a generous portion of chicken and cheese. Every bite you take makes you want to go back for more. The pizza is very dense as well. Their service is quick and easy. Their storefront is very small, so you will have to either eat it at home or in your car. Can't wait to go back soon.“

A little high for a pho place but, it's so worth it. If you're looking for a good clean broth and delicious pho, this is the place for it... doesn't matter the cost.“

“A very quiet place located in a non-descriptive strip mall. You will miss if it you are not paying attention.Run by a family, its lot a limited menu focused on Taiwanese bento boxes. For $10, you get rice, soup, 2-3 vegetable side dishes, and your choice of 3 main dishes that rotate every day. It's generous and really perfect. The meal tastes home-cooked.This is a great option if you need something that feels like home.Bento box menu is in Cantonese and changes out every 2 weeks. There might be a regular menu, but I can't read Cantonese. The nice folks do speak a limited amount of English and just need to know which of the 3 options you want.Mushroom-bamboo fish was excellent.“

Heartland Cafe & Mart Vegetarian • $
152 Pierre Rd, Walnut

“Heartland Cafe & Mart is an organic vegetarian food store and restaurant. Conveniently located on Pierre road toward valley next to Walnut High School. Party of two adults and two kids entered the store. Seating is limited; estimated around 20. There is no server, we order our vegetarian dishes at the back. The lady in the back at check out counter is very friendly and offer free snack samples to our kids. Vegetarian food all tastes great providing that you like mushroom, tofu, soy based, and plant based ingredients. We order one Oden. Tri-cup rice, Zha Jiang noodle ( dry noodle mixed ). Flavors are to the point and not too salty and greasy. Once you ordered, they will deliver to your table but everything is in box. It's good for to go. Overall the restaurant and store is clean, modern, and welcoming. We will be back shopping organic food products and eat lunch.“

“Have been here several times throughout the years and the food is still good. Had the popcorn chicken snack, the braised pork with rice, and a green tea milk tea. Everything was as I remembered from the last time - except prices. Inflation has definitely hit, but there are still items I would get because I can only get them here and they make it well. This location is smaller than the one on Valley and Lemon, but still has seating and since it's in the Village, it's nice to grab your food and eat outside. Service was fine and they give you everything in a cool, reusable bag. I'd rather have lower prices and a paper bag, but the bag is definitely nice and good quality.“

What caught our attention though, was the many people of different races that were going in and out of the restaurant. We tried it this past Sunday and found it to be very good. We usually go to another Vietnamese restaurant in San Dimas. I think we'll be coming back to this one. We bought 3 different dishes including Phó, 2 soups, and 3 main dishes. “Edit: original review below was 1 star, changed to 5 because of Ivy's customer service. Ivy commented very quickly on the original review, explained what happened, and offered to make things right. She was very courteous and very professional when I was messaging her and my family is very happy with how she's treated us, her response to the issue we had, and how she fixed the issue for us. We are looking forward to coming back to Pho Ha. Thank you Ivy for making things right for us! Original review: Very bad service. My family placed a to-go order today and they forgot a fried rice we ordered. My dad called after and explained what happened. The girl who answered the phone kept saying "I didn't know". No apology, no offer to fix the mistake, nothing. Just kept telling my dad that she didn't know the fried rice was missing. Constantly avoiding taking responsibility and refusing to take accountability. Very immature and unprofessional to say the least. Even worse for us because we are local regulars here. They couldn't even say sorry once“

“Tuesday 3/26/24 Brunch at Farmer Boys in Walnut. Craving for an all American double cheeseburger with tomato, pickles, and fresh lettuce with a side of thick cut fries and a soda; ordered the “Double big cheese box” The hamburgers were juicy and the buns were toasted which kept it from getting soggy. It is right on top with In n Out Burger and The Habit. Delicious and it hit the spot.
