“Barney’s Beanery in Santa Monica is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in a nostalgic atmosphere that exuded charm and character. The eclectic decor added to the vibrant ambiance, making every moment feel like a journey through time. But it wasn't just the ambiance that impressed us; the service was exceptional. Both our server and the server in training were incredibly attentive and sweet, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of wonderful. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, enhancing our meal even further. And let's talk about the food – it was simply delicious! The tuna melt was perfectly grilled with a generous amount of flavorful tuna and melted cheese. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, and the breakfast burrito was a hearty and satisfying choice.Overall, Barney’s Beanery offers not only fantastic food but also a delightful atmosphere and outstanding service. It's a place where you can enjoy a meal with friends or family while basking in the nostalgia of yesteryears. Five stars without a doubt!“
“Great little sports bar on sunset blvd with great cocktails and a solid draft beer list. Make sure to book a reservation on weekends because this place gets busy! They have several TVs throughout the bar so every seat in the house is good. Best of all they have plenty of vegan options which is rare for a sports bar! The vegan tacos are amazing. It's also dog friendly. I'm a big fan.“

“We got seated quick and was greeted by our server. Super nice. They have 5 TVs and a nice ambiance. My husband got the appetizer nachos as his meal, he doesn't eat meat so our server suggested swapping out with vegetarian patties. He ate it clean. I had the classic burger (smashed like) no mustard or cheese. I added mushrooms and it came with fries. I love my burger, a little messy, but good. They have a wide selection of drinks. Outside and inside seating. Only thing we didn't love was parking, I would just park on the street in the neighborhood across the street. They have a lot of Yelp bannered everywhere. Highly rated. We would totally come again.“

“Wurstkuche offers a selection of meats and there's also vegetarian options as well. I tried the vegan meat and it was pretty good! Loved the sauces and toppings that they offer and their fries are delicious and thick. I also ordered a belgian beer called Fruli and it tastes like straight strawberry juice--right up my alley! There's plenty of seating and it has a chill vibe to it.“

“Super delicious food and a diverse beer selection. The Brussel Sprouts are incredibly good. The burgers too. It's also great that 2 small burgers are served in the children's menu. These are easier to eat with small children's hands. We were there on a Wednesday evening and "got into" a trivia game that was held in the beautifully designed back area of the restaurant and offered us great entertainment, even if we didn't play. Highly Recommended!Kid-friendliness: Super sweet and great children's meals! There were other children there too!“

“Great selection of beers, including one of my favorites, Golden Road hefeweizen.Good food is a level up from typical bar food with vegan options for most menu items.Service is a little rough as you need to order at the bar, so if you sit outside, it's a lot of running in and out.“

“An excellent selection of Belgian and German beers. The 1809 Berliner style weisse and Duchesse Cherry were perfect on the outdoor patio. The frites were also excellent. Large enough to have fluffy interiors and crisp exterior. The wursts were juicy and cooked well. There are many different kinds for whatever more you're in.We chatted with (I believe) the owner about various beer styles and locations, and I mentioned how I miss German apflewein. He suggested we visit Alma's Cider and Brewery, which I plan to do in the future.Vegetarian options: Most of the wursts are meat based, but three of them are vegan. I recall seeing at least one vegan frites sauce (pesto). I did not inquire about kitchen protocols.“

“In my quest for a memorable lunch spot in the Hollywood area, I stumbled upon a true gem—the flavors at this LA establishment are simply unparalleled. The corn tostada left me speechless with its smoky burnt corn aioli—a true symphony of flavors. Equally impressive was the tomato tostada, adorned with an abundance of queso fresco that perfectly balanced the charred heirloom tomato jam. I wholeheartedly recommend trying these tostadas for their unique and delightful flavor profiles. For mains, we indulged in the chilaquiles, which, although slightly saltier than expected, boasted tender short rib that stole the show. Unlike the typical chilaquiles overwhelmed by chips, this dish offered a perfect balance of flavors. In summary, I can't wait to return to this establishment and explore more of their delectable offerings. It's truly a must-visit for anyone seeking a culinary adventure in the heart of Hollywood.“

“I always come here for the Soy Sauce Fermented Raw Shrimp! The sauce is prepared perfectly every time. My guests have tried a variety items on their menu from Galbi to Tofu to soups and stews. They love everything they tried. Very authentic Korean food. The service is always friendly and patient to explain the menu items. It's a perfect setting to catch up with family and friends and have great conversation because the restaurant is never too loud or noisy. AND I LOVE THE K-POP MUSIC THEY PLAY!!!! Absolutely my best go-to Korean restaurant.“

“This had all the makings of a great burger, but unfortunately it fell down on one of the most important pillars--execution! Specifically, the meat was not well prepared. I'm not sure if I came on an off day, but the quality was lacking; some bites were too dry; some bites were not seasoned well. It's like whatever beef mixture they were using reached the bottom of the barrel and was not fresh. Also, I ordered the patty rare, and it was served medium-well. Ordinarily, I wouldn't make a big fuss about this sort of thing, but they are clearly going for the "elevated" burger experience at a premium $17 price point, and at those levels they really need to deliver flawlessly, every time. I also felt that the burger was a bit on the small side. I could fit the entire sandwich in one hand. The rest of the composition was actually quite good. I tried their signature "Stout," which comes with blue cheese, Gruyère, bacon, grilled onions, tomatoes, and a horseradish sauce. Each element complements the others really well, without any one becoming overwhelming. Flavor wise, it's all there. I just wish the patty pulled its own weight! I also tried the loaded fries, which were delicious. Specifically, whatever cheese they use melts perfectly over fresh, hot, crispy fries, and had a consistency that was not too runny and not too thick. The Goldilocks of melted cheese! These were also pricey at $9 though, and the portion was also on the small side. Overall, I'm glad that I tried what is allegedly one of the "best burgers in LA," but I won't be running back.“

“I hosted a small happy hour for some friends on the patio at The Fat Dog because I was visiting from out of town. From the moment I emailed to make a patio reservation, the staff was awesome! They had tables reserved for me at our appointed time.Service was quick and courteous and the food and drinks came out quickly.Everything tasted great. Their margarita was the best I’ve had in LA! They also have an amazing craft beer list. We sampled appetizers and small plates like the fries, onion rings, chips, potato skins, and of course the signature Fat Dog hot dog. Everything was hot and super flavorful. We also loved that the patio is dog friendly.Highly recommend this spot for food and drinks in North Hollywood and will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: A friend with Celiac was easily able to get a gluten free bun and ensure a safe meal!Parking: Meters on Magnolia are a gamble but we found a spot right in front of the restaurant. Pay attention to the ones that are 2 hour parking versus only 15 minute loading!!Wheelchair accessibility: Staff was super accommodating with my mobility scooter. Smooth entrance in and out of restaurant and patio!“

“Our group of six stopped by at Far Bar after a Dodgers day game. We sat right in the middle of the bar and were promptly served water and offered drinks and food. We remained at FB for several hours and sampled their tots, chicken wings, fries, pot stickers, and sliders. All the food was quite tasty, but their wings were stand out. I had a Moscow mule, which was refreshing, tart, and gingery witout being overly sweet. My friend raved over the Gold Rush cocktail and others agreed their drinks were well-made. The servers were on point and friendly, and made sure we had water during the entire time we were there. A nice spot to enjoy a good cocktail.“

“The Lavender Fields Mocktail was probably the best drink I have ever had! I lived in Los Angeles several years ago and recently took a trip to visit old friends. “What a fun, little hidden gem! If you love games, good food, great service, and a cozy vibe this is your new spot. Food: They have a pretty solid selection of great bar food. I tried the sweet potato tater tots which were really nice, seemed like they were actually made in house. Also had the smash burger and it was really, really good! Freshly made, great quality beef, and very juicy. Unlike a lot of other bars that make bar food - this didn't feel like it came from frozen and wasn't rushed. Service: Everyone here was so kind, patient, and friendly. It was really refreshing to find a place where they seemed to enjoy being present. Ambiance: Very homey and cozy, would make a really nice second/third date or spot to meet friends for some board games.“

“MY FAVORITE LA BAR!!! My review is loooong overdue as I've been coming here for years. I've moved further South on Ventura but I still manage to come to what I feel is my home in bar form. I'm a woman who loves mixology and good bartending and most bars are extremely male centric. TLP is great for women and men. It wouldn't surprise me that many women love this bar. You will hear everyone mention "the feel" of the bar and it's because they seem to consistently hire AMAZING BAR AND WAIT STAFF. Kudos to management for keeping such excellent consistency. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME..I come to the bar I sit at the bar and get an INCREDIBLE convo from the bartenders. They always serve me the most fantastic drinks and make me feel like a FUGGIN QUEEN. I love them so much for this. They manage people well and that's hard to come by. Even if I've had a bad day they seem to always say the thing that lifts my spirits -- it's wild. Therapy in a bar almost. lol Keep up the good work guys! See you again soon.“

“The bad: They ask what side you want but don't tell you it's an extra charge. That was a little upsetting. They made it sound like the sandwich came with a side. The place was super good! Got the Liars fuego steak melt and it didn't disappoint. Perfect level of spicy. Will definitely get again. Also go the buffalo wings. Super good. We will be back.“

“Wow! So far this is one of the best places I've been traveling to have a beer! The selection on tap was awesome! The servers were amazing helping me choose a beer (s). Oh and the Manager running these stores took the time to talk with me as well as advice on the beer and . The menu/food I had a hard decision on with such an amazing selection of bar? food, but this was not bar food, it was the best bar food! They touted the best burger, which I almost did and would have been amazing but instead I went with the "if anyone puts this one on the menu it's going to be good" and went with the Grilled Artichoke ;-) OMG it was fawesome! I could eat all my veggies that way forever! Oh all while I I listened to Earth Wind and Fire ? ... ENOUGH SAID ?“

“Work right across from here so this place is one of my go-tos for lunch. Never actually sat down and ate inside even though the energy is always feels good. I've gotten just fries from this place about 4-5 times. There's a reason i've gotten it 4-5 times. They're crispy, always fresh and well seasoned. They also give you three sauces: spicy mayo, garlic aioli, and honey mustard. All are amazing and my favorite is mixing all the sauces and putting them on top of the fries. I've also orders the mozzarella sticks and the classic burger, no cheese, lettuce tomato and pickles. The mozzarella sticks are big and the cheese stretch is perfect. For the burger I didn't care much for the bun but the taste of the burger was amazing. I always come back and will always come back.“

“Came here for some drinks. It was my first time trying this spot. They play loud music, have pool tables and air hockey games. Alot of TVs around so it's a great place to watch games. I liked the nostalgic decor in the bathrooms and old magazine style cut outs laminated on the bar tables. Great energy and the people are really nice too. They make a really good espresso martini. We shared the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.Parking: They have metered parking and paid parking garage“

“If you aren't going to Tam's during the Christmas season, you're missing out on your Christmas Carol fantasy. Period clad carolers take requests, cocktails are served in tea pots, the charm is endless. If you don't want to commit to a whole dinner situation, you can still feel the vibes by just going to the bar and having a tasty cocktail. It can get quite busy, so if you're dining make a reservation ahead of time, and if you're hitting the bar consider your timing.“

“We had a ladies lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We made reservations online through Yelp about two weeks prior and were seated promptly on arrival at reservation time. We ordered drinks, appetizers, pizza, and flat breads to share. The buffalo cauliflower (has a nice kick), Brussel sprouts, and parmesan truffle fries were good, plentiful and crispy. The pear royale pizza and heirloom tomato flat bread were really good. The skinny studio heat cocktail was delicious and left me wanting a second round of it. Atmosphere is loud and it gets really packed and busy here. Service was attentive. There is a separate room in the back where a baby shower was held. Six Chow can accommodate big groups and is great for celebrations. Several tables were celebrating birthdays where staff came out with cake/desserts and sang at various times. Valet is available in the front, parking lot is small, and there are street parking.“

“We didn't order any food, so this review is for drinks service, and vibes. On our way from the Petersen Automotive to Pijja Palace, we had some time to kill and so found Jay's Bar on Yelp. The four of us arrived a little after 4:00 on a Thursday, found street parking (rather than the tiny lot), and pulled up to find two other patrons and who we think is the owner doing some business on her computer at a table. Erich was very friendly but not imposing. The happy hour deal of Kirin and gyoza sounded good, but we were on the way to dinner and decided not to. My brother ordered the Big Bad Baptist (on draft!!! I haven't seen it in forever!), my sister-in-law enjoyed her Brooks Dry Cider, Jim G. had a Space Dust on draft and I enjoyed the Yuzu You cocktail, which was a nice mix of shishito-infused gin, yuzu liqueur, lime, and cracked pepper (there's also a bit of simple, which I asked Erich to omit). There was some nice music playing and a rousing tennis match on one tv (at least according to Erich and the two other patrons) and on the other, the end of a Godzilla movie and then an episode of The Sopranos. I imagine at night when this place is packed, the vibe is a bit different, but it was great for our purposes. We are way far away in the northwest SFV, so this isn't a place we'll drive all the way here for, but if we're in the area, we'd definitely stop in again.“
