“We stopped here on the way back from Key West because we saw it on the Food Network. Our family ordered the conch fritters, whole fried red snapper and the hogfish sandwich. The food was good, although I thought the sandwich could have had more fish. The surroundings seemed dingy and dated. Our server Rachel was very friendly and gave us excellent service.”

“I picked up some food there tonight and brought it home and it was all very authentic. The mixed Cuban sandwich all the way was exceptionally good as was the beef empanada with mojo sauce and black beans with yellow rice. All very delicious. I also got a slice of their limoncello cake and it was outstanding. The aroma inside was wonderful too. The service was great and the people helpful and friendly. If you want some very good and authentic Cuban food, give this place a shot. Next time I will dine in. Two thumbs up!!”
“Best Ice Cream in the South! Love all the flavors! 10/10!”

“It was hard to find initially, didn't realize it is a food truck with a couple of picnic tables, tucked under a tree. They cook everything to order so service is a little slow, and the price seems a bit exorbitant (welcome to the Keys!) until the food comes. Both of our burritos were HUGE and very tasty. Would eat there again for sure. They have an extensive breakfast menu, so I might try that.”

“Nice little breakfast spot. Not super French though - crepes were chewy, but tasty and espresso was served in styrofoam cups. Ugh.Outside of that, pretty fabulous. Very nice staff, clean, prices not too bad.Breakfast sandwiches on croissants were on point.”

“Just GO. Support this place which has been open and closed at various times as they’ve tried to get established. Honestly? It’s a great little dockside spot with a fun happy hour menu….. totally worth hunting up this Stock Island gem. We’ll be back!!!!”

“This was by far the best food we had in Key West and possibly top 5 for us.. ever! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, space was adorable and food was beyond delicious! The flavor pairings were different than anything else we've seen in key west. All seafood was very fresh. I had the finned fair which was local caught grouper that evening, best grouper I've ever had! My finace had the skirt steak which was also delicious! Sushi waffle, miso conch, beets and beef tataki were all so so good! Can't wait to come back!”

“Fantastic! Best dinner in five nights! Service was great, food was great, and happy hour was great (reserve a seat at the bar!). I had the Prime Rib and hubs had the Shrimp/Scallops Veracruze--both were outstanding. Topping off dinner was the best cup of coffee we had in KW along side the "Coffee & Donuts" dessert (coffee flan and mini churos).”

“In our opinion, the best restaurant in Key West. Love this restaurant. Joanne was our server and did an excellent job. She certainly knows the menu and did a great job answering all our questions. Dinner was fabulous. I had a salad and pork Osso Buco. An abundant serving, very moist and absolutely delicious. My husband had foie gras and the duck entrée. He said it was wonderful. A rather small but always busy restaurant. Be sure to call in advance!!”

“I made a reservation here for a bachelorette dinner and it was a great choice. This restaurant is big with different areas. There is patio with live music, a karaoke room, a game area and a quieter seating room. The staff took care of our table well. The food was great with good portions. I had the coconut shrimp and the grilled mahi mahi tacos. All of it tasted fresh and flavorful. For dessert had some key lime pie and the hula girl pie with an oreo cookie crust and ice cream on top. We sat on the patio and that was a nice atmosphere with live music.”

“I had the cuban coffee con Leche 12oz, a bit sweet but delcious. Also had the breakfast burrito, it was delcious and savory. The atmosphere is laid back and chill. There are a couple benches out front to eat at but no specific eat in area. This is a small place but they are efficient.Parking: This is a paid parking lot, we went during the day with plenty of spots open and didn't pay. No issues.”

“Great coffee and donuts. We had two cafe cubano and shared 4 donuts. Key lime, passion fruit cheesecake, coconut creme, hazelnut brown sugar. The coconut creme was our favorite! They're small to medium sized donuts. It gets busy so go early to avoid the line! The place itself has indoor seating but many people sit along the sidewalk outdoors.”

“Cool to do once but the food is just okay. Literally every other restaurant we ate in Key West was better than what we had at latitudes, but it wasn't bad. We showed up early to watch the sunset by the dock which was nice, but the boat situation kind of ruined the vibe. Our reservation was at 8:45pm. We tried boarding around 8:15 and were told to wait and that the boat would be back in 20 minutes. The boat didn't come back until the time of our reservation, but we were seated by 9:15. There were some huge fish swimming around the dock at the restaurant. Again, it's more about the experience rather than the food”

“Being from Canada we were looking forward to trying this little quirky restaurant on a boat . Ribs and brisket were excellent and best baked beans I’ve ever tasted. Apparently missed the neighbour hood manatee who lives in the port . We would definitely visit again !”

“My husband and I ate here on our first night of our vacation per the suggestion of the concierge at our hotel. 10/10 would definitely recommend! I wanted crab cakes, and the crab cake sandwich did not disappoint. My husband got the fish basket (made with cobia fish). We also got the conch ceviche as an appetizer. We both polished off our food! We were also visited by some of the local fowl. It was a beautiful evening, so sitting outside was perfect.”

“Very good place to eat and have brunch. Typically American dishes. Possible downside to the welcome which is not very pleasant... and I don't think I'm someone who is demanding on that”

“Heads up…. Payed for a latte, received a regular coffee no foam. Coffee was weak. What surprised me the most was that they were adamant that it was a latte. Other than that, the food was delicious and the pastry’s were out of this world. Happy dining”

“Our absolute favorite sub, sandwich, and gourmet cupcake place in Key West.. Hands down!! This local spot is a must visit and prepare your HUNGER because these massive subs are sure to fill you up! ALSO MUST save room for a mouth watering cupcake afterwards! As you can see from the pictures we visit this spot as our first, last, and in between our many trips to KW. We order and take these on our boat and beach trips and even fly them home to our kids per their request. We have tried every single sub in this place and a hard time deciding on a Favorite. I personally am a pastrami snob and have to order that sandwich at least once and my husband is obsessed with the Balboa their signature sub! You really cannot go wrong. The owners are two of the most hard working individuals and make sure your stomach is satisfied as well as your sweet tooth. They strive for perfection when it comes to an amazing lunch spot and never disappoint. If you have one day in KW on a cruise stop or spending some quality time checking out the island on vacation or boat outing DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STOP HERE!!!!”

“Pizza was just ok. Service was impressive! Hostess seated us and welcomed us to Key West. Asked us how our day was going and wanted to make sure we were happy here. We got our pizzas. A bit over priced for sure, but hey, can't beat the scenery!!Our waitress came over with 2 free margaritas!! What!? Who does that!?!? Thank you!!! Now that made the meal worth it.”

“Very chill place with great beers! After ten years living in Key West, I'm glad to say we finally have a real brewery in Key West (Stock Island). I've tried many of their brews, and enjoyed many of them. I'm a dark beer kinda person and Cayo has already sold me on two dark beers that they currently brew. Love the symbiotic relationship they have with Roostica next door; we ordered pizza, had it delivered and ate it, all while sitting at the bar sipping on beers at Cayo Hueso. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The owner/brew master, is equally welcoming and takes great pride in his passion.”
