“We used to be patrons of Kaya’s at their former location, and miss them immensely. Our first trip to their KW location and we are happy to see the same faces in charge (after years, no less) with the same level of energy and openness, and also very happy to find the quality of the food has been retained and even refined. Excellent cuisine and a good value, and their new location has several different spaces from a bar to outside courtyards so you can find an ambiance that suits you. Excellent happy hour also available 4-6 I believe, with half price apps and drinks. We had their famous (to us) jerk wings and they are awesome, and coconut shrimp were also meaty and tasty and so much flavor added by way of a tasty side sauce. We shared fish tacos as the main and they were excellent, both the fish and the accompaniments in the taco. We never get dessert but sprung for an ice cream pie called the Hulu Girl, it disappeared in a quiet frenzy (didn’t want the ice cream to melt!). Drinks were reasonable and very varied. Highly recommend and I hope we can still get a seat next time! We went on a very windy weekday at around 5:30. Kudos Kaya Island Eats, so happy for you!”
“Incredible dining experience! Service was on point, thanks to our server, Wilson. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 3 desserts. Everything was paced out perfectly. The food was phenomenal! Crab “cakes”, scallops (with possibly the best pork belly I’ve had), and bisque to start. Miso glazed grouper and veal chop for entree’s and a mix of desserts. Everything was remarkable. My compliments to Chef Laurence.”

A bit over priced for sure, but hey, can't beat the scenery!!Our waitress came over with 2 free margaritas!! What!? Who does that!?!? Thank you!!! Now that made the meal worth it.”

“The food is awesome. We had octopus and calamari as a starter which was already filling. As a main course, filet mignon and fettucine. Both super tasty and great quality. Last but not least, the key lime tart. But there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We decided to make a reservation at very short notice and only got a seat at the counter, but it was super comfortable. Sylvia our bar tender was super super friendly and served excellently. A more than successful evening with an excellent meal. Danger! Very modern and not Key West style. If you're looking for something like that, you shouldn't go here, but if you're looking for great quality, this is the place for you.”

“Great coffee and donuts. We had two cafe cubano and shared 4 donuts. Key lime, passion fruit cheesecake, coconut creme, hazelnut brown sugar. The coconut creme was our favorite! They're small to medium sized donuts. It gets busy so go early to avoid the line! The place itself has indoor seating but many people sit along the sidewalk outdoors.”

“Tried the lobster roll. It was fabulous, but it was one slice of buttered toasted bread with Lobster meat on it, rolled up like a hot dog. The taste was amazing, but so small for $32. Just a very expensive snack. I feel it was way too overpriced.”
“Our absolute favorite sub, sandwich, and gourmet cupcake place in Key West.. Hands down!! This local spot is a must visit and prepare your HUNGER because these massive subs are sure to fill you up! ALSO MUST save room for a mouth watering cupcake afterwards! As you can see from the pictures we visit this spot as our first, last, and in between our many trips to KW. We order and take these on our boat and beach trips and even fly them home to our kids per their request. We have tried every single sub in this place and a hard time deciding on a Favorite. I personally am a pastrami snob and have to order that sandwich at least once and my husband is obsessed with the Balboa their signature sub! You really cannot go wrong. The owners are two of the most hard working individuals and make sure your stomach is satisfied as well as your sweet tooth. They strive for perfection when it comes to an amazing lunch spot and never disappoint. If you have one day in KW on a cruise stop or spending some quality time checking out the island on vacation or boat outing DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STOP HERE!!!!”
“While in Key West, I was talking with a street vendor about some jewelry that he made and during the fun conversation, I asked somewhere a good place to eat was and he mentioned Moondog Café. It’s to listen to the locals because this place offered great drinks really good food and a great atmosphere. I felt like I didn’t want to leave It was so nice.I have the silly rule whenever I go to a restaurant I go to the bathroom first. I often think if they can’t keep their bathrooms clean then how clean is their kitchen? I’m happy to report that Moondog Café has very clean and actually very nice bathroom.”
“You know a place is legit when it serves beverages in old plastic glasses, has actual hot sauce options, and the walls are wood paneling that looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80's.Our portions gave us leftovers for a couple days, and the beef and pork were both incredibly flavorful and tender. However, you can take your sandwich to go and eat near or on the beach.Note: they don't take apple/google pay”

“Patrick and his staff are amazing! They are churning out the most incredible barbecue items anywhere with a friendly attitude. The pulled pork, the chicken, etc are all fantastic and don’t miss the brisket on Saturdays! The sides that are available are beyond creative and flavorful. Eaton Good is a must visit when in Key West. Great staff! Great food! Great vibes!! Just awesome!!!”

“I am a sucker for a good croissant sandwich and this place did not disappoint. The croissant was sizeable and soft, the eggs were made fantastic, the bacon wasn't too hard or too soft. Just all around perfection. The key lime pie French toast blew my friends socks off, picture included which could be confused as art haha. Mimosas were yummy and the staff was friendly and attentive!”

“After making our reservation for the wrong day we showed up to no table for us. We were graciously offered bar seating and it actually turned out better than table service. This meal was far and away the best meal we had during our week in Key West. From the appetizer to the entree to the desert to the wine recommendation, everything was spectacular. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was top notch. Just a spectacular and memorable meal.”

It gave off an intimate vibe despite the amount of seating. My beef carpaccio had a thinly cut freshness that was a good teaser for the rest of my meal. My highlight was my shrimp scampi that I couldn't give enough praise for. I'd go back here just to order this again. The noodles absorbed the sum of its parts so well with the oil and sauce. I don't know how else to describe how it tasted so good. I really enjoyed the key lime pie as well. I found torching the cream on top slightly unnecessary, the cake itself along with the graham cracker crust more than made up for it (which honestly didn't really need to be made up for.) The staff was exceptional as well. We didn't have to wait long for service and everything came as expected. They gave us good wine recommendations as well.”

“I didn't like the service because the waitress didn't try to help us with some issues and made drama over trifles. My son is diabetic and I needed to know either the amount of carbohydrates in a serving or the amount of the food itself that contains carbohydrates. for him it was French fries. to which she replied that they don't have information about carbohydrates and there are no scales to weigh food either. in other restaurants this has never been a problem And the drama was that I changed the order, but this happened almost immediately after the order. I don't see a problem changing the order if it hasn't even started to be prepared yet. Overall the food was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. only the fries were so generously sprinkled with salt that they had to be scraped off. otherwise it was impossible to eat”

“We stumbled to this restaurant our first night at Key West and lingered by the doorstep because of the nice jazz playing. When we walked up to the restaurant, the manager Kim was very nice and helpful to our situation and instantly got us handled. There was one hostess that didn't seem welcoming; the other one that seated us was genuinely sweet and spoke to us with care. We sat outside during the evening and it was perfect! The guy that set up our table was wonderful and spoke to us about his life as well, and it made us feel extra comfortable with our choice of dine in. DD was our server and she made sure our food was great, to which my boyfriend confirmed that this was the best dinner he had ever had. He's not a fan of oysters, and when he got a taste of the oysters I ordered, it took him an entire week to stop talking about them. I ordered a grouper, and he did the Surf & Turf. I thought I would be able to finish the whole thing as it looked delicate, but with the Moscow mules (also phenomenal) the soft bread, and the oysters beforehand, I was struggling to walk back to our shuttle. The jazz, the clean restrooms, and the ambiance of the whole restaurant made my first night on our vacation our best night(and the vacation was perfect!). Much gratitude to Kim, to DD, and everyone else that I forgot the names of because of the Moscow Mules. I would come back in an instant!”
“Famished after a lengthy drive to Key West, we found this hole in the wall cafe for lunch. Street parkings were available around the cafe. While we waited for our order of Cuban Mix sandwich, steak quesadillas and tamarind Jarritos, we were greeted and entertained by couple cafe pet chickens. I preferred the Cuban Mix sandwich (4/5) over the steak quesadillas (3.5/5, slightly greasy but good flavor). Overall, not the best Cuban sandwich on the Florida Keys, but very solid food for Key West and price point seems reasonable for the more touristy areas.”

“Stopped in after 8 on a Thursday hoping to get a drink and bite at the bar. It was packed with a fun combination of locals and visitors and the host went out of his way to ensure we had drinks and watched over us until two seats opened up. Then we met Eric, who continued to provide the best service in town and did his best to make sure everyone at the bar knew each other. We shared a flavorful mushroom quesadilla and Caesar salad with mahi. The mahi mahi was so beautifully prepared it flaked apart with a fork, and the dressing was much lighter than the creamy version too many restaurants serve these days. Even with the wait at the beginning (get those reservations in!), it was a leisurely hour and a half of good food and wonderful company.”

We are glad it did close because food at The Jerk was fantastic.Both of us got the jerk chicken with various sides. Both trays came out loaded with meat and sides and we couldn’t even finish our food. The jerk chicken had a great flavor and was real moist. The jerk bbq sauce was a great compliment to it.This restaurant sits right off of Durval Street and is a nice quiet place to eat. Highly recommend going here if you’re in the area and want good food for a reasonable price.”

“Went with friends for an afternoon bite before their flight and it was perfect. Had the grouper shrimp cakes as an appetizer for the 4 of us then individual hamburgers for lunch. Had a wonderful young lady make us a ‘Painkiller’ and a Golden Margarita that was delicious. Domestic beer only $5, a true find on KW. Between the view, the vibe and the prices you can’t go wrong.”

“We had a great lunch here! It was just coming out of a rush of people when we arrived. They sat us at a table and then we had to wait about 10 minutes before we went up to ask for menus. A couple after us had service right away, which was a little frustrating. The serves were all nice however. The food was pretty decent, it was a good sized portion. Typical key west prices but it was a good meal. They also have a very cute dog there.”

Can you ever say no to a lot of meat? Pictured here is an order of (2) Korean BBQ Tacos, loaded with meat. Korean BBQ flavor was delicious and Sriracha wasn't too much. Order comes with a bag of Zippy's chips. Also ordered their Kogi Dog which also was a huge portion with plenty of kim chi and sauce to cover each bite. Both orders are definitely worth every penny.”

Food suggestions were perfect and Food came right off the grill, piping hot within 5 minutes from ordering. We had the sweet crepe with eggs, sausage and mozzarella cheese; and the strawberry banana crepe with whip cream. Both ah-mazing. Don't be fooled because it is in a strip mall... this place is divine.”

“I didn't like the service because the waitress didn't try to help us with some issues and made drama over trifles. My son is diabetic and I needed to know either the amount of carbohydrates in a serving or the amount of the food itself that contains carbohydrates. for him it was French fries. to which she replied that they don't have information about carbohydrates and there are no scales to weigh food either. in other restaurants this has never been a problem And the drama was that I changed the order, but this happened almost immediately after the order. I don't see a problem changing the order if it hasn't even started to be prepared yet. Overall the food was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. only the fries were so generously sprinkled with salt that they had to be scraped off. otherwise it was impossible to eat”

“We stumbled to this restaurant our first night at Key West and lingered by the doorstep because of the nice jazz playing. When we walked up to the restaurant, the manager Kim was very nice and helpful to our situation and instantly got us handled. There was one hostess that didn't seem welcoming; the other one that seated us was genuinely sweet and spoke to us with care. We sat outside during the evening and it was perfect! The guy that set up our table was wonderful and spoke to us about his life as well, and it made us feel extra comfortable with our choice of dine in. DD was our server and she made sure our food was great, to which my boyfriend confirmed that this was the best dinner he had ever had. He's not a fan of oysters, and when he got a taste of the oysters I ordered, it took him an entire week to stop talking about them. I ordered a grouper, and he did the Surf & Turf. I thought I would be able to finish the whole thing as it looked delicate, but with the Moscow mules (also phenomenal) the soft bread, and the oysters beforehand, I was struggling to walk back to our shuttle. The jazz, the clean restrooms, and the ambiance of the whole restaurant made my first night on our vacation our best night(and the vacation was perfect!). Much gratitude to Kim, to DD, and everyone else that I forgot the names of because of the Moscow Mules. I would come back in an instant!”

Then we met Eric, who continued to provide the best service in town and did his best to make sure everyone at the bar knew each other. We shared a flavorful mushroom quesadilla and Caesar salad with mahi. The mahi mahi was so beautifully prepared it flaked apart with a fork, and the dressing was much lighter than the creamy version too many restaurants serve these days. Even with the wait at the beginning (get those reservations in!), it was a leisurely hour and a half of good food and wonderful company.”

“Our first Benihana experience took place in Key West. Seating at the famed hibachi tables had a two-hour wait so since the weather was beautiful, we thought we would sit outside facing the water. Our server, Matt, was welcoming and offered recommendations. I had the tasty Spicy Hibachi shrimp while my daughter opted for the Shrimp Yakisoba. Our meals were amazing: perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was a great way to end our trip with one flaw: midges. Those little bites stung and interrupted what was a great dinner.”

“We came to Tavern N Town to celebrate my birthday. What a wonderful place! The menu was exceptional from small plates (steamed buns) to pizza to prime rib and seafood, and house-made desserts. Food was served promptly and piping hot. Plus, my entree was free on my birthday. One of my best birthday experiences!”

“Mid afternoon visit, not busy. Great service, great food. Atmosphere was what you would expect from an IHop. Cafe, clean, smells of bacon, coffee, and waffles. It was really cold inside, but they turned the thermostat up and moved people to less drafty tables. Awesome service.”

Our server was fantastic, she was even in a boot, but really downplaying it, making sure we were taken care of. She did a great job, and I really appreciate her, because I feel like we were accidentally annoying. Food was good, fresh, and exactly what you’re paying for. You want comfortable, solid food? This is the place to go. Fancy food? Probably go somewhere else. But I enjoyed my time, and so did my family. Thanks for a great afternoon, and thank you for making my first vacation since 2018 so special. I really appreciate it. We tried 4 different martinis & they were all HEAVY on the liquor. I know bartenders do this because they believe it's better for guests. However, balance is essential when mixing alcohol with juices, etc. Overall, a great spot to have a drink & watch live music on Duval!”

It’s to listen to the locals because this place offered great drinks really good food and a great atmosphere. I felt like I didn’t want to leave It was so nice.I have the silly rule whenever I go to a restaurant I go to the bathroom first. I often think if they can’t keep their bathrooms clean then how clean is their kitchen? I’m happy to report that Moondog Café has very clean and actually very nice bathroom.”

“This was a unique experience in Key West. Menu is a surprise each night, but everyone can find something they will eat. Several meat and fish options for entrees. Food was incredible. For appetizers we had chorizo which was some of the best I’ve ever had along with scallops and lamb chops. All top notch. The duck, filet and fish were all done to perfection. It’s like dinner and a show watching the chef cook the meal. Truly mesmerizing. The staff was so kind and friendly and the chef asked how we enjoyed each dish. I would definitely come again to Lola’s in hopes of trying other dishes. Think the value for the quality of food, service, and ambience is right.”

“You know a place is legit when it serves beverages in old plastic glasses, has actual hot sauce options, and the walls are wood paneling that looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80's.Our portions gave us leftovers for a couple days, and the beef and pork were both incredibly flavorful and tender.
