“Best sushi I've had outside of Japan! Sometimes, omakase and high-end sushi spots try to get too crazy with their menu, but KND is simple, focusing on the quality of the dish. Our chef was very skilled and gave us a rundown of where they acquire all their fresh ingredients. The sake also paired wonderfully with the sushi. Our 16-course omakase was the perfect amount. A great place for a special occasion.“

“Absolutely incredible place!! It's definitely the best sushi and Thai on the north side of Chicago. We usually go to Hot Wok Cool Sushi or other places further into the city. -Not after today! This place was fantastic. The service was great - they were so friendly. And the food and presentation was phenomenal. It blew away any place that we went to before. It's the first place that all 4 members of my family agreed was awesome. We will definitely be back soon!“

“The Next Neighborhood Hot Spot:This restaurant recently opened and it did not disappoint. If you don’t want to fight long waits at 7:30PM on a Friday night, give Wave a try! (Although I imagine when word gets out, there will be lines to deal with).SERVICE: From the warmth of the greeting to the prompt efficient service, we had an all around great experience.ATMOSPHERE & VIBE: The decor is cozy, hip, and relaxing. The background music is a cross between Island music/The Girl From Ipanema meets Rock N Roll…in fact, part of the fun was trying to figure what song was being covered…the volume was just loud enough to provide ambience without impeding conversation.FOOD: Simple yet complex, light in textures but flavorful - very nicely executed. Faves: Truffle Tuna (Taco) Appetizer was perfection - delicate shell with loads of tuna and the truffle ponzu rounds it all out. Prime Short Rib could serve as an an entree or easily shared. I recommend sharing to spread the wealth! Again, each element blended beautifully - tender short rib, comforting miso polenta, and the playful mushrooms all played their role.Dietary restrictions: They had regular, low sodium, and gluten free soy sauce.“

“All you can eat sushi!! They have a lot of options and the food was great. I went on a Saturday night, so it was really busy, and that led to longer waiting for refills, which is understandable. If you like Shrimp the Shrip lolly pops are fantastic!!!“

“Loved it! Stopped by after a movie for some light dinner, and left very satisfied! The Takoyaki were delicious, as were the Toyko and Shogun donburi. The server was very good, efficient and polite. The kitchen got our food out quickly and our dishes were plated carefully and in a visually appealing way - the impression we got was that the whole staff really cares about what they are doing. We will definitely be back!“

“The absolute best sushi I've had anywhere. Not only is the sushi fresh, hence the name, but the chef is a true master of his craft. The owner and staff couldn't be more genuine as they provide the most welcoming atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try, especially if you are unsure about sushi. This place will have you hooked within the first bite.“

“Sen Sushi is a tad hidden off of Oak Park Street near Addis’ Cafe. It’s a clean no frills place that offers good amount of specialty rolls and great Sashimi and Nigiri sets. They don’t take reservations and it is small, but seems like turn over is pretty fast. Definitely a place to try if you want decent sushi this side of the burbs.Parking: There is paid parking in front of the building or if u go about half a block down, free parking in front of the houses.“

“Can't believe I haven't dropped this place a review yet. It's my go to place for a summer day when I'm looking for a little bit of a lighter vibe for lunch. I've always gotten the build your own bowl and it's yet to disappoint. Portions are generous. Have gotten the donuts a couple times and they were light and tasty with plenty of amazing sounding options. Consistent, good quality tasting food. Always have ordered online and always given the correct food with timely, friendly service. Inside is kept very clean. Will definitely keep this place in rotation and at some point will have to try some more of the menu. Glad to have this place in Elmhurst!“

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! This place is incredible, from the food, to the service, and the ambiance, absolutely amazing! I travel from New York just to come eat their sushi. As we entered Haru, we were greeted very delightful! The server was very attentive and made sure to provide me with descriptions of each sushi. She described in detail about all the special rolls they had on their menu. My favorite is the Logan! I cannot express how delicious their miso soup is as well! Thank you Haru Sushi for an absolutely amazing experience! Cannot wait to travel back! The best sushi I have ever tried, and cannot express the freshness of the fish!“

“Ordered from them for some quick lunch. Prices were unbeatable, and the quality of food was incredible. Really can tell a lot about sushi just from the rice, and the rice was spot on. “My friends and I had the Omakase at Raisu, and it was fresh and delicious! It was 15 dishes for $120. We also ordered lobster tempura, and chicken Karaage which weren't my favorite. I thought the tempura lobster was unique, but there wasn't much flavor or lobster meat. For the chicken Karaage, it wasn't prepared in a way I preferred. It tasted okay, but the portion was on the smaller side, and the chicken was like bite size tender pieces. I felt like it was missing a fullness in each bite. As for the service, the staff were efficient and very friendly. I appreciated how descriptive they were with the sushi! Overall, I would definitely come back and order more nigiri and try other dishes!“

“Food was delicious. We wanted to find a ramen spot and we were not disappointed in our orders. It would have been nice to have more than the two options for ramen, but it was well prepared and flavorful. The noodles I especially enjoyed, since they were a little chewy. We also had appetizers and a miso soup, which was also very yummy. Service was reasonable and responsive. Music was modern and pop, too.“

“Got the omakase. The first half was great! Loved the first half. After the second half it was regular foods, simple sushi/nigiri. I was expecting more customization like the first half. At $90 I expected to be wowed the whole time but it definitely got mediocre after the shooters. We got their toro from the today's special and that alone was better than the omakase.**Overall would come back but not for omakase.“

“From a sushi and sashimi standpoint everything was high-quality and extremely fresh. The sashimi platter was a very high value item for reasonable price. I would point out that I did not particularly enjoy the fried shumai as I thought they lacked flavor. Regardless everything else was excellent. And for a very reasonable price.“

“I come here for the Bring It On Noodles. This is a soup that tastes like nothing I've ever had. It combines the best of Thai flavors. The soup is spicy, tangy, sweet, savory, and packed with umami flavor. All of the elements of this soup pair so well together. 10/10 for this soup that I have damn near once/week. The owner knows me well at this point. Please taste this soup!“

“We just moved to Portage Park and have been here several times. The sushi is so fresh and good quality, service is absolutely outstanding and Kay always remembers us and makes us feel like family. I'm sad the weather is warming up because the Tom Kha soup is out of this world! Tried the wings for the first time today and the seasoning they sprinkle on them is a magic dust of chili and lime, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.“

“Hamds-down my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in the western suburbs of Chicago. The Asian Tacos and Crazy Jalapeño are a must for starters and I've yet to have a specialty roll I didn't love, to include a few off-menu rolls. Be sure to ask your server about those. Speaking of the staff, very friendly and equally attentive. The speed of service is also above par. Nabuki is certainly a spot worth visiting the next time you're in Hinsdale.“

“A Culinary Masterpiece: Exquisite Beef WellingtonI recently had the pleasure of experiencing the epitome of culinary excellence at shallots. Words can hardly encapsulate the divine delight that was their Beef Wellington. As a seasoned food enthusiast, I've traversed the (kosher) gastronomic landscape far and wide, yet never have I encountered a dish as sublime as this. From the moment the plate graced our table, it was evident that this was no ordinary Beef Wellington. The golden-brown pastry shell, flawlessly crimped and glistening, hinted at the delectable treasure hidden within.Upon slicing through the delicate crust, I was met with a succulent medley of flavors. The tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef, perfectly cooked to medium-rare perfection, nestled amidst a symphony of earthy mushrooms and rich, aromatic duxelles. Each bite was a harmonious fusion of textures and tastes, leaving me utterly spellbound. But what truly elevated this Beef Wellington to legendary status was the chef's meticulous attention to detail. Every component was executed with precision and finesse, culminating in a culinary masterpiece that transcended mere sustenance. As I savored each exquisite morsel, I couldn't help but marvel at the chef's ingenuity and dedication. This was not just a meal; it was an experience—an unforgettable journey through the realms of taste and indulgence. To the chef behind this culinary triumph, I extend my sincerest gratitude. You have not only created the best Beef Wellington I've ever had the pleasure of tasting, but you have also crafted one of the top five dishes I've ever been served. Tonight, you should go home with your head held high, knowing that you have left an indelible mark on my palate and heart alike.“
