“The food at Hunt and Alpine is always amazing and the cocktails are consistently the best I have had. Nothing on the drink menu jumping out at you? Tell them what you like and they will surprise you. We go there multiple times per trip and never get tired of it.“

“Mixologist from Quebec City. When I come to Portland it’s for research and networking….Gabrielle is a phenomenal mixologist who offered an incredible service and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and, as we say in French, “well watered”.Cocktail wise, Jewel Box is second to none in portland (and this is coming from a Blythe and Burrows fan).Top 3 worldwide in my book.Cheers, keep on grinding. One love“

“We had dinner reservations before a show at the Merrill. Traffic suggested we would be late. I called to let them know and the woman on the phone, perhaps a recent immigrant, couldn’t have been kinder or more reassuring! We arrived to find the dining room was being refurbished and the lobby had been transformed into the dining area. An additional distance from the kitchen, the wait staff was HUSTLING! It was wonderful to observe their camaraderie and assisting each other during the pre-show rush. Our server, Hannah, could not have been kinder or more accommodating! The food was wonderful in its presentation and even better in its taste. My husband had the seafood (Cod) special and I enjoyed the scallops! Everything about the experience was perfect!“

“Fabulous crafted cocktails! Great small plates! Wonderful staff!“
“Heavy crockery, preheated, kept both the sandwich & soup nice and warm. The carrot-ginger soup was outstanding. The half sandwiches (Reuben, chicken) were delicious, albeit diminutive. Our server was very pleasant. The meal seemed to take a long time to come to the table, and since there were but two tables occupied in the restaurant, I suspect the burden lies on the kitchen and not on the server.“

“Came here before a concert in winter at an off time and wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Boyfriend loved the oyster menu. My salmon was great and they were very helpful with my food allergies.Dietary restrictions: Ask, they will accommodate you, our server had them change sauce on salmon and rice due to allergiesParking: Small side lot, also street parking near that, fine in winter, likely congested in peak season“

“Incredible bar. Unbelievable drinks menu (whoever thought to make a salted coconut foam topped banana espresso martini is a genius), the staff are amazing (Eric made our night on our last night in Portland) and the bar snacks are also delicious. Will definitely be heading back here on our next trip to Portland!“

“Our 1st time in, and we really enjoyed our meals. Fish and Chips were excellent, and the portion size was on the larger size. My wife had the bangers and mash, which was another decent plate. We loved the interior, and the service was just right. Thank you for my ice-cold moosehead beer, too!“
“Best of Portland Brewery and Spirits Bus Tour – Three of StrongThree of Strong is a rum distillery, bar, and tasting room. Rum is any spirit made from a sugar cane plant which makes is very versatile. Three of Strong uses all organic ingredients that include sugar cane, molasses, slow fermenting yeast and locally sourced water. They do not use any artificial flavors or colors.I enjoyed the tour and of the distillery and learned about the process for making rum. After their tasting session, I found their spiced rum to be one of the best I have ever had. It was smooth and the delivered very flavorful finish when drinking it straight. If you are in Portland, ME, make sure you stop in or visit by going on the “Best of Portland Brewery and Spirits Bus” Tour.“

“Excellent! We had the house salad … like no house salad I’ve ever had! Lots of goodies, super tasty and the large was plenty for two! My hubby had rigatoni carbonara. I had the crab raviolini. We also ordered bread service ($7 was a bit high).Rigatoni carbonara was very tasty but extremely rich. He wished it would have been cut with an acid for balance. My ravolini was perfect in flavor and size.We sat at the bar (not our fave but we didn’t have a reso). Stools were NOT comfortable. Bar/waitress (Lora/Lori I’m pretty sure that’s her name) was friendly and solicitous to us.It was great to be in a neighborhood (and not in the Old Port). We’ve driven by the restaurant and never been inside … glad we did this time. We’ll be back!“

“Amazing farm to table food and drinks. We stopped by downtown Portland on our way out of town from a corporate retreat. Came in and sat at the bar, Cameron provided first class service, was incredible knowledgeable and attentive. Guided us through the menu and ensured we had a 5 star experience.“
