Nicole, former owner and lead bartender at Shagri La, has done an incredible job creating an upscale experience right on the Carolina Beach boardwalk. Tastiest cocktails in CB!“

“Malama is our favorite coffee shop in Carolina Beach! We've visited several times over the last couple of years. Great tasting coffee. Not the burnt stuff you get other places. Breakfast options are great. Very filling burrito. Great place to grab coffee and then take a short walk to the boardwalk and beach.“

“We went here for our 5 year anniversary and really enjoyed our experience. The waitress was super friendly and paced our meal out perfectly.Just about every meal comes with a salad and side. You get a wipeable paper to write down what you'd like on your salad and it's catered towards your taste buds.We got a bottle of wine and each got steak, his was a ribeye and I opted for prime Rib. Our steaks were prepared the right way and when we were done, the waitress boxed our dinners for us. I was very impressed with our level of fine dining. They even signed a card for us and that made our evening. We both enjoyed this experience and look forward to celebrating here again soon.“

“5 stars for delicious, creamy, vegan gelato! It's hard to find places with good quality vegan ice cream treats (or any vegan options at all, for that matter) and I was really happy to have multiple choices here! I sampled peach and salted caramel, both amazing!! Ended up going with the salted caramel. Staff was friendly and quick despite it being a really busy night with the fireworks and whatnot.“

“We came in today 4-8-24, everyone was so nice, sat at the tiki bar had the cape fear pain killer, so good, then order food for take out! So good, enjoyed everything! Hot dogs are awesome, pulled pork sandwiches, and cheese quesadilla. The best! Thank you, girls front Pennsylvanian!!!“

“We live locally so we come here A LOT, especially in the off season. Off-season this is the place to be because they do pumpkin patches for the kiddos and a Christmas Tree lot. On-season the quality of food/service is still there and their kid-friendliness keeps us coming back, especially the sturdy baby changing stations and the wide variety of high chairs available for low tables and high tables. All in all we are impressed and pleased with the changes. When we come to eat we LOVE the BABLT and the Burger.“

“5 stars... the Mahi blackened tacos and fries were good, and the view if you sit outside is great. Now we almost walked out due to the service but... they made good for the mishap. We ordered our food... and people sat, ate, and left... and we waited... after 30 minutes I went in to ask about the order and got the "they're working on it " response. 45 minutes later for two taco and fries order, and not super busy, we got up to leave but the food came out and we sat. The staff was super friendly and apologized for the mixup with the order and the meal was on them. Not just a discount or free appetizer, but the entire order. They were sincere with the apology and I was blown away. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area.“

“Food is tasty, but more than that the atmosphere is super laid back and beachy! There is a big open space that kiddos enjoy but doubles for live music and entertainment. Been going here for years and still a huge fanParking: It is in a beach town so paid parking is what’s available unfortunately!“

“Went in during the day on a Friday with a friend and was greeted by awesome servers!! We had the margarita and shark attack cocktails with some house chips and beer cheese w/a side of fries. Everything was wonderful! We were very pleased!! Inside was super nice, clean, and comfy! Can't wait to go back for a full-on meal!“

“This place was so amazing! The staff was so kind, funny and gave us a sample of their bagel of the month which was delicious!! Would definitely recommend coming here for breakfast or lunch! They also have a drive through which is a definite plus.“

“Nice little coffee shop. The chai latte is good. It was pretty quiet when we got there, but as more people came in it definitely got louder. Though, the acoustics were good enough that I could still carry on a conversation as it got louder...and I'm hard of hearing. All in all I definitely recommend visiting this coffee shop.“

“We stopped in for dinner our last night in Carolina Beach. Every time we drove past it during our stay, it was full of guest outside so we figured it had to be good. Well good is an understatement!!! We must of hit at the perfect time bc it wasn't overly busy and we found seating inside with no wait. Our waitress was at the table as soon as we sat down and was so attentive our entire visit. We actually even had a second waitress check on us as well. We were highly impressed with the service before we ever got our meals.We ordered the pretzel bites for an appetizer, I ordered the chicken nachos and my husband got the grilled veggie wrap with a side of broccoli. The food was outstanding!!! There was not a lot of talking going on bc we both were chowing down lol My nachos were absolutely delicious and the portion size was huge! My husband really enjoyed his veggie wrap as well! We didn't sit at the bar but it looked very nice and had a huge flat screen front and center. I loved looking around at all the cool eclectic decor! We visited right after Christmas and there were Christmas lights strung up everywhere outside and it looked beautiful! I highly recommend & definitely will be stopping in again on our next visit to Carolina Beach!“

I think it will be a good date night spot for drinks and hanging out maybe add an app then off to something else.Also a good spot for kids. Mine loved the open space in the back and the games.
