“I don’t ca Re what these founder’s professor said, this place is fantastic and a brilliant idea for those looking to make a low country boil! We are in town for a family get together and this dish has been a classic staple BUT one of our members always does the leg work, sourcing of all the ingredients, and cooking. We decided to give this place a try and while we thought they cooked the whole thing for us… we were surprised to know they prep it all, source it all and deliver it to us to quickly put the pot on the stove and cook it all in 30 minutes. This crew made it easy! Plus the entire meal was incredibly flavorful. It’s like ‘take and cook’. We got the traditional plus a couple crab pots and out it all together! Fed 12 and not a drop left. “I know Island Bagels has some pretty stellar Yelp reviews already so I won't bore you by talking about how delicious the bagel of the day was yesterday or how well constructed the breakfast sammy is though both are absolutely true. Instead, let's talk accessibility. My wife and I ran to Island Bagels and were pretty, pretty hungry when we arrived. I walked in wearing my super cool, reflective running vest that says "blind" on the front and had notable difficulty reading the chalkboard menu. After taking a moment to process the situation, Island Bagels employees swung into action, grabbing and sharing one of their freshly printed menus so I didn't have to struggle to read from a distance. It was awesome and very much appreciated. Too often, when people notice others struggling with accessibility challenges, they freeze up and fail to check in to see if an assist would be appreciated. I should also say that staff had some wonderful and delicious suggestions like swapping out fries for hashbrowns so my sandwich could smoosh down more efficiently and better fit into my gaping maw. Smart! Keep it up. Y'all are the real MVPs.“

“Unfair, perhaps, since I've lived here for over 15 years....but it's our Go-To-Breakfast and sometimes Lunch. The long term Wait Staff (some over 20 years) are "ON IT!" and Dependable. Sometimes that is just as important as the Food. It's our Islands place to see and hook up with neighbors and Friends. Come and join in.“

“My wife, and I, decided to give this restaurant a shot, and we could not be happier with our decision. We were greeted politely, and promptly seated. The nostalgic decor is great. Our waitress was just terrific. She shared her insight of the menu helping us make our choices. I got the double burger, shown in the picture. I could not believe that they also offered a triple, and even a quad. We were so happy, we went back today to try the seafood. We had the shrimp (scrimp on the menu), and the flounder baskets. So much food, and so very good. If you are looking for good atmosphere, great service, and outstanding food, this is a perfect place to try.“

“I visited this establishment on Saturday. The crab dip was excellent. I usually don't eat anything with crabs in it. I ordered a peach/mango margarita. It was really good. The chicken tacos needed more flavor. The chicken was very bland. The service was okay with them only having one waitress. The restaurant is very small. It would have been better if it was bigger and had extra servers.“
