“Sunday brunch was great! Service was a little slow to start but we weren't in a rush. We had 11am reservations. They open at 11. Drinks were great. Food was tasty. Fun and laid back, a mix of families with small children or a group of friends everyone seemed to be having a good time.“
“They are very welcoming to everyone and as well as your furry child which I love! Great German beers on tap. Also great place to watch sports. They have a fun DJ who is interactive and plays a very cool mix of songs. They don’t serve food but they brought in 6 ft. Subs 2 times that I showed up which they offered and passed around to everyone which I thought was awesome! My favorite dog bar!“

“I didn’t have much expectations. I was looking for over 30 minutes for a combo of different foods I wanted. Never really have ordered takeout from here. Anyway, it was absolutely delicious!!!!!We had, wings, garlic bread? Oddly was a pizza basically and so so good (added vodka sauce), meatballs, mozzarella sticks (not sticks but triangles). Amazing, really. Sad I’ve missed out on here for the last 8 years lol“

“The weather turned nice, so popped over to Cork City for a beer one Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago and luckily managed to snag one of their outside tables. The atmosphere is perfect; lowkey and chil. They are dog friendly (inside and outside) and more importantly - they have a huge selection of craft beers that are organized by style so it's easy to find something you'll like!“

“My boyfriend and I go here at least one every 2 weeks to eat. We love love it. The vibes are always nice. We are OBSESSED with the Hoboken Chicken Sandwich. It hits the spot every single time. The drinks are also well balanced and delicious. I’m already stressed about moving and no longer being within walking distance.“

“Excellent spot. 1) I got the Irish Breakfast, it was very filling and tasty. I enjoyed every part of it. It had various meats and vegetables/beans. 2) The service was very good. The waitress came to fill my water. 3) Only thing is, the place is very busy. Sometimes hard to find table.“
“This place is great for what it is. Cheap drinks, divey, friendly staff and hilarious regulars. It's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of mostly younger crowds downtown. And you can bring your own food. I basically picnicked there by bringing sandwiches and fresh mozzarella with a friend. Ben, my favorite bartender, served us with his usual charm, and provided good banter when needed. It's a vibe. Go inside.“

“This has turned into my new favorite place in Hoboken. We had Happy Hour drinks and apps by the bar, and then went to the back for our dinner. We sat on the main level, but there is an upper and lower level as well. You would not know how large the restaurant is until you go in. Service was outstanding by the entire staff. I had the fried snapper entree. It was HUGE! I do wish they would marinate it in a mojo, or include some mojo on the side, but it still was delicious. The pork shank my wife had also was too big to finish and was delicious at home the next day. Highly recommend, and we will be back!“

“Trying to support local restaurants and tonight decided on Sheph & Knucklehead. Its a place I brought many friends and family, pre- COVID, to enjoy amazing beers and food! The food was amazing.... arrived still warm from delivery with a 30 min turn around. Who does not love a huge German pretzel! Joe, the owner, was extremely helpful with recommending options and being flexible with the menu. Can not wait to go there once open again, but take out will def be happening again! Yum!“

“We had a lovely experience at The Brass Rail. There were 5 of us out for brunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. It was great from the moment we arrived. We were seated promptly and our server checked in with us right away. Clara was just delightful. We really enjoyed chatting with her! We started with mimosas, Bloody Mary and coffee. All were very delicious. Our starter was the tostadas. They were a huge hit. They could be a meal on their own. I had The mesclun salad with chicken, my husband and my daughter's boyfriend had the open faced BLT, my son had the grilled chicken sandwich, and my daughter had the lobster roll. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My son finished with the Oreo cheesecake. That was delicious (yes, I did taste that). We were very comfortable and could hear each other. Definitely would return.“

“Food was great and the set up inside the restaurant was really nice. The spicy Paloma cocktail was delicious. The oysters are highly recommended. Spaghetti carbonara was my main dish and I thought it was delicious. The desserts tasted good we ended up getting two for the table.“

“This is a cute place and it was very busy on a Friday night. We waited for 30 min to be seated, though the time went past pretty quick. The waiters were very friendly. The drinks were cheap, most margaritas $10. Even just one got em a bit tipsy, though they are very sweet like other reviews say. My favorite drink was the chambord margarita with sugar on the rim. I knew that was going to be sweet and it was but a very good kind of sweet and I enjoyed it a lot. They give complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered flautas, chicken quesadilla and enchiladas. Everything was decent. The quesadilla was not as filled with chicken as I hoped but it had good flavor. The flautas were a bit spicy but very crispy and overall good. I liked the rice and refried beans that came with the enchiladas. There was two enchiladas on the plate so perfect to share between two people. One downside is they added the tip automatically 20% for a party of 2, which is pretty unusual. I would have given 20 anyway but I would like the choice. 2 clean single bathrooms in the back. Overall very fun and colorful inside and would go again“

“Stopped in for what was supposed to be a couple of quick drinks after work with some friends and ended up staying for several and some appetizers. We picked a booth and chilled for a couple of hours. It was great. Will definitely be coming back.“

“Stopped in here to get out of the cold and have a drink while I waited for my ride. It's definitely a dive bar / pub, which is my favorite type of place. Lots of taps and a bunch of TV's if you want to watch a game. The staff was super friendly and really fast. Great place if you need a drink when you get off the train!“

“I highly recommend The Madison for your catering needs. Their team set up everything for my baby shower and the brunch food (french toast, eggs, bacon, home fries, mini sandwiches, and fruit salad) was a hit! Amanda was helpful throughout the process.“

“A regular staple for me. The octopus is always so decadently cooked and lightly seasoned to perfection. This was my first time trying the croquetas, the spinach ones were flavorful but the rest I can’t recall the flavor but they weren’t to die for.The swordfish was another dish they mastered. I find that many places overcook the swordfish, but not here, it was perfectly moist and rich in juices.I tried the scallops but I would never… ever… ever order that again. That was the strangest combination of flavors the world may have ever seen. It was like a fruity sauce with nuts and 4 scallops for like 25 dollars. Definitely stay away from that concoction.Anyway, their sangria, espresso martinis and bar are always amazing. The service is always on point from beginning to end and that’s why it will stay a staple for me.“
“If you're in Hoboken, Ale house is the place to go. It's conveniently located but parking can be an issue. It's a typical bar but they have great deals. They have TV's at the bar so you can watch the games. They don't have a large selection of beers but still have decent options. The wells drinks are not bad either. If you're looking for cocktails this might not be the place. This would be a good place to go to catch the game and have some beers or a simple drink. At the end of the bar they also offer free popcorn for patrons. In the back they have a shuffle board and pool table. Was there on a Saturday night so it was slightly crowded. This is a dog friendly place so you're welcome to bring your furry friend as a guest. If you're in the area definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for some beers and want reasonable prices.“
“This place absolutely saved me with a big client… there were NO places to have a zoom meeting in the neighborhood- Starbucks, Panera, blue cafe, McDonald’s…. I asked and this place was beyond perfect!! I had an outlet and incredibly fast Wi-Fi. If you need a place to work for an hour come here!! A+ EVERYTHING.“

“Farside Tavern has pretty much everything you'd want from a sports bar. First of all, they have a whole bunch of different TV screens all around, showing all the local sports teams and covering all games currently going on. Secondly, the service is great. On the topic of the TVs, I could see that the moment a game ended, one of the workers would immediately change the channel to another game. Aside from this though, our bartender (Valerie) and the manager were both super friendly and attentive. They clearly wanted to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our experience. The place has a lively vibe with a great upbeat music selection without it being too loud to talk to others. It was fairly busy when we went on a Saturday night but I still didn't feel like it was really crowded or anything. There is a good amount of seating both at the bar and at tables elsewhere. As for the food, I got the boneless wings, which were 10 for $14 (decent deal). I tried some with parmesan garlic on it, which were fine but not great as they were slightly dry. However, I also tried some with the BBQ sauce and those were great - nicely crispy, moist, and much better than the others. The fries were also decent. To drink, I got an Orange Crush cocktail ($15), which is great if you like fruity drinks. This one basically just tasted like orange juice with some vodka in it (but it wasn't strong). My friend tried a bunch of other drinks and said that he was very impressed with all the cocktails that he got. Overall, with a great lively environment, all the local sports games showing on the many TVs, friendly service, and good food / drinks, Farside Tavern is the place to go in Hoboken for a good time out with friends or even if you're just trying to watch your favorite team play while enjoying some good vibes.“

“Sliders and wings are phenomenal. Such a fun time with some friends last night. Food was really good and drinks were perfect. Not too strong but hit the spot. Loved how spacious. Doesn't feel like a typical bar in Hoboken where you need to tassel your way to the bathroom.Parking: Hoboken is just horrible for parking.Kid-friendliness: Spacious enough to not bother others.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp for the bag dinning room.“

“From the moment we walked in to Elysian, we were hooked. The historic decor/architecture inside really set a fun atmosphere. As we were admiring the walls and ceilings the manager approached us and started telling us some of the history. He was as nice and as friendly as could be. He highly recommended the poutine and it did not disappoint. All of the other food we ordered was delicious and the other wait staff was nice and friendly as well.If you want delicious food for a good price in a old style restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and friendly people, then this is the place you're looking for.“
