“This restaurant not only serves good food, it's convenient because it's located 1 1/2 blocks from me, right in Downtown Bronx! The food is served in good portions. The salads, chicken & rice & bean dishes are very tasty & the desserts are delicious. My 2 favorites are the tres leches cake the tartufo, which is a hard chocolate shell with vanilla/strawberry/chocolate icecream inside, topped with whipped cream & a cherry! I recommend this Bronx neighborhood restaurant which seems to be crowded all the time with locals that really enjoy eating here. Try everything on the menu if you can.“

“Amidst the bustling labyrinth of South Bronx, those with a hankering for authentic Peruvian flavors have a haven to turn to. I sought refuge here after being disappointed by a Riverdale counterpart's flavor game. Though situated in a not-so-idyllic part of town, where a sense of alertness is beneficial, the culinary journey this place offers is worth the trek. The restaurant might not dazzle with lavish décor, but trust me when I say it more than compensates with its tantalizing taste profiles. Foregoing opulence for authenticity, it promises an experience that fills not just your stomach but also your soul.A highlight to kick-start the meal is the roasted corn accompanied by that zesty green sauce - an absolute treat for the taste buds. The Tallarvin with steak, a nod to lo mein, bursts with rich flavors that are sure to satiate. But, if like me, you have a soft spot for Lomo, prepare to be enthralled. Though the rice serving feels somewhat modest, the generous portions of steak, fries, onions, and tomatoes ensure you won't be left wanting. It's a mouthwatering masterpiece; don't think, just order! To quench your thirst, an Inca Cola or Chicha Morada, a delightful blue corn beverage infused with cinnamon, pairs beautifully with the savory offerings. While the dessert section may not shine as brightly as the mains - the flan being pre-made and rather ordinary - the tres leches makes for a decent conclusion to a hearty meal.In a nutshell, for a punch of authentic Peruvian flavor that leaves an indelible mark on your palate, this South Bronx eatery is the place to be. The Lomo is a must-try, trust me on this one!“

“Yea, this place is amazing. We were looking for a quick bite in LIC on a hot day. We were able to sit down before the kitchen break at 3:30pm to order entrees. We sat in the outdoor seating area, which had great jungle ambiance. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great cocktail menu. Started off with a few drinks, the pisco sours were amazing. We tried the ceviche mixto and arroz con mariscos, fresh and delicious seafood. There is limited but parking available! Overall, great food, beautiful interior decor, great service, and decent pricing for the area.“

“This was an amazing dinner. Our server was engaging, offered winning suggestions and consistently checked up on us to make sure we were happy and well-fed. The food was well prepared and presentation was great. The wait time was pretty short, but we were early and it wasn't packed. By 7pm the music was turned up to be a bit loud for my taste so I gave the "atmosphere" rating a 4 instead of 5. This was one of the few times I wish I'd have taken pictures of the food. It is our 3rd time visiting this restaurant and we will be back again for sure. When the check came there were no surcharges for using a card, and they didn't help themselves to a gratuity, which was both appreciated and rewarded by us. Excellent place. ?????“

“Finally Authentic Peruvian food in Nassau county that is made with fresh ingredients! Service is amazing. Portions are great. I am very picky with my Peruvian (and Mexican) food/restaurants and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Very cute cafe vibes and they even have a fancy coffee machine so you can order your cafecito with your brunch/dessert. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend the empanada de pollo because one bite and I was transported back to Cerro De Pasco walking around with my mom. Can’t wait to go back!Parking: Parking lot is next to the cleaners that is in the same shopping center“

My steak came out a little less red than I like but the flavor was delicious. One of my friends requested to add chicken to her pasta and the owner was happy to accommodate and my friend loved her dish.Vegetarian options: No meat Pasta, salad and vegetable dishes were on the menu .Dietary restrictions: There was enough of a variety for all to enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: There was a gentleman in a wheelchair that appeared to be able to get around easily. “Great experience, waiter was very knowledgeable and explained every single detail. He was also very engaging. Food was definitely very good and there was many great options. Only reason im not giving it a 5 star is because the place looks fancy the people that go were very well dressed but the utensils did not look up to that it may be very minor detail but i feel like its all part of the dining experience.“

“Absolutely delicious and stunning restaurant! Some of the best drinks I’ve had so far and I love that they all give you a taste of Peru with authentic and unique Peruvian fruits and flavors. I had the ceviche de pescado, chaufa de mariscos and arroz con mariscos. Super fresh and flavorful. The drinks and food complemented well and the dessert was the cherry on the cake! Definitely recommend as a must try if you’re in the area. Worth your time and money.“

“We ordered the ribs platter and the ribs and chicken platter. Everything was delicious. The ribs were dinosaur sized and were delicious. I deducted one star cause it was pricey and the rice was undercooked. I saw this restaurant on IG so I wanted to try. Drive from other side of Queens. If in the area, I will buy.“

“Great authentic Peruvian food , the best ceviche that isn’t ridiculously overpriced in the city ! As a person who comes from South American background and grew up in Queens going to many Peruvian restaurants the flavor is definitely worth the trip to Essex Market in LES if you want an authentic ceviche mixto in Manhattan.“

“Came to this place today, Sunday, for early lunch with the family. Since we were the only customers at that moment, we knew that we would get our orders pretty fast and we were all hungry. The place looked great and food even better! Anticuchos and Jalea is what we ordered appetizers and the specials of the day, Baked Fish and Arroz de Mariscos were really delicious. The classic Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken could not be forgotten which was just as good. Definitely recommend this place. Wished I had my phone to show how great all our orders looked. We’ll be back whenever we are in the area for sure!!“

“PROs - food taste , location , price , food quantity CONs - service , ambience , spacing between tables !! 3.5 stars First timer . Wanted to try something new and spotted this restaurant in Google with 4+ review. First of all , it was a little tough to spot this restaurant .. it got lost to the restaurant next door called Babylon :). Wish they had some side boards . Price wise it was ok. Paid about 15 $ for lunch special .. service could be better . The women who took order didn't want to answer me about the menu. I'm new to Peruvian cuisine and didn't know what each food meant . Good was actually delicious . Loved the quarter chicken .. it was really tasty and well made . Salad was ok. Rice and bean was so good . There was very less space between tables .. you are almost sitting very close fo the next table and whatever they speak , you can hear and it's kinda not that good . Just for the food I gave 4 stars . Wanted to give 3 stars but 1 more star for the chef ..“

“Excellent service - hospitable and gracious. Inside was clean and warm, exposed brick with full wine racks on the walls and a bottle on every table highlighting their selection. Music was low but lively - setting a good mood for conversation. This would be a great date location or a place to have a quiet meal with a friend. Hidden Peruvian gem in Wooodside. We tried the special - a sampling of many of their dishes. This place does fried stuff well. The ceviche and dish similar to paella was okay. What stood out to us was their hot sauce - they should bottle the stuff - perfect heat, vinegar, and sweetness ratio, hurts so good! We hope to be back!“

“I've heard of chirp a few times and this was the time to finally try it after getting recommended it by 2 friends. I wanted the bowl but decided to just get the 1/2 chicken $12 while my friend got the 1/2 chicken with rice and beans for $16. I was a bit disappointed seeing it being pretty small but I enjoyed the taste. The skin is nicely flavored and the meat was tender. The green sauce they had was nice too. I feel like I wouldn't like the bowl as much because I didn't see any skin so it may not have as much flavor. Without the skin, the meat was not very flavorful at all. The price was not too bad but I think I'm a bit spoiled by growing up getting Costco rotisserie chicken for $6 for a while chicken. I enjoyed the chicken but honestly I don't think it's that special. Regardless I'll give it a 4 because there's nothing really wrong about it. It's good rotisserie chicken.“
