“The place is beautiful and very well decorated. We were there for Saturday morning brunch. I recommend the American breakfast which is well served for the price. The meat and potatoes are well seasoned. The bread basket is a little expensive for what’s inside, especially for a French person :)“

“I wasn’t sure what to expect-but I’mExtremely happy I dined at The Four HorsemanEntering the small establishment you are greeted with a nice doorman/host, who takes you into a small but romantic space. Details were perfect when decorating-from the original floor to the walls and art-mood lighting and light jazz on the speakers, the restaurant is very charming and romantic.The staff is meh-waitress seemed uninterested-some staff were wearing baggy long shirts/jackets that don’t work well in tight spots. As we were a table of two sitting in the middle-every time they walked by their tails of the shirt would hit us and our table. If you’re going to wear a very baggy loose shirt-tuck it in-to prevent this annoyance.No one seemed to be pressed for time-taking orders-fresh drinks-etc. the doorman stated when the next reservation was-as a warning not to linger more than 1.30 hours, but the waitstaff seemed clueless to this as it was she and her absence that kept us there almost 2 hours. Mind you-we were enjoying the wine, food, and conversation so we didn’t mind, except we had show tickets and were almost late. The waitress had an air of royalty attitude- better than us-as we are lucky she would visit our table and take our order. This is how she made me feel.Food is as delicious as beautifully plated. The atmosphere and food stole the show-the staff needs training-I’m not going to remove a star from the review for the staffing issues as the restaurant as a whole-and their food-is stellar. However, staff review is 2 stars.Came back for lunch when I was back in town-;lunch service was much better and the food was delicious, again.Kid-friendliness: Not at all-this is a different caliber restaurant where children should not be.Wheelchair accessibility: None. Not ADA compliant at all“

“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“

“Traif is so outstanding that it reminds me, despite our crumbling society, that there is a beacon of hope, a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a chef’s tasting menu, where each dish is so flavorful, so delicious, that I shed not one, but several tears that maybe, just maybe, humanity has a chance of food this good still exists.“

“The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service correct and efficient. It has a Michelin star but it does not force you to order set menus or any specific dish. The duck is super delicious and I would say it is the star dish of the house, the quantity is abundant, it is enough for 3 people. The pastas are also very delicious, the bucatini amatriciana comes in a good quantity, but the ripiene is a small dish. You have to book in advance and in general it is a very worthwhile experience.“

“5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“The best brunch plate that I've ever had. And I don't speak that easily. Felt like I was eating a dinner entree for brunch - in a good way. Duck pastrami hash & poached eggs, caramelized onion, parsley salsa verde & local greens. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the salsa was great. The duck and the hash was other worldly. Tons of duck. In almost a stew of small potatoes perfectly softened. In some type of gravy. Wow. Even the greens are great. Nice light dressing. Almost salty. Service was friendly and attentive. My daughter said her avocado toast was excellent. I don't make it to Brooklyn that frequently but can't wait to go back to this great spot. I didn't drink that day but they had a nice looking and well stocked bar.“

“I hosted my 25th birthday party here and the staff went above and beyond to accomodate my large group in the upstairs honey lounge and make my birthday so special and wonderful! Josh & his team were so organized -- and the food and drinks (honorable mention for the house mead, which everyone raved about) were fantastic. Would definitely come back on a night out and book another party here.“

“We had eaten atWe had eaten at Winona’s before and really enjoyed it but when we heard there was a new chef at the helm, we were very hesitant the food would take a turn for the worse. Happy to report we were VERY wrong.Chef Dan Gonzalez is making a really tasty and surprising menu! Every dish was thought out with care and so incredibly tasty. Each new item brought a surprise and delight.The Hake with celery was stunning, the cavatelli with lamb was exceptional, the salad was a star too - flavor in every component! We also opted for a special that was a pasta with uni and citrus with some peppers and it was truly a memorable, delicious dish.In addition to the amazing food, the service was excellent too. Knowledgeable, kind and low key. They were attentive but not overbearing or pushy. We had a late guest in our party and they were so sweet about checking in with us.The space is also cute, so really this is a 10/10 experience.Highly recommend and so excited to come back to try more of Chef Dans incredible food!“

“My wife and as New Mexican natives have searched far and wide on our travels for “real New Mexican food”. Santa Fe BK is unquestionably the best we have had. John and Melissa, the owners did their research and it shows in the food. The place itself is charming, especially the outdoor patio with “Betty” the apple tree anchoring it. Owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their Chimayo red and Hatch green chiles (the heart of New Mexican cooking) were excellent. We’ll definitely be back on our next NY trip.“

“Pecking House had some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent times. It was elevated and you could tell there is an extra level of sophistication to their chicken. Different flavors, different techniques and some Asian fusion aspects that pair so perfectly well with the classic American style fried chicken. Cornbread was excellent, dirty fried rice was also superb and the chili chicken sandwich really hit the spot. Can't wait to return to Pecking House in the future! Service was also excellent; super attentive and next level for a more casual place like this one. Don't sleep on the Peanut butter pudding!“

“The food here is impeccable. Just wow, I can’t stop raving and talking about this dinner.I went for the fall menu of 2023 and it was everything and more. From the service to the playlist to the open kitchen everything was perfect.Each course told a story, each bite was bursting with flavor. “Been meaning to check this out for a while now and finally got to it, and now I’m kicking myself for not going earlier. Everyone’s right about the Mussels, they’re not to be missed. Burrata and Pork Shoulder Pasta were also a hit. Drinks are creative and tasty! This is definitely a restaurant where you’ll want to go back to try every item. Staff was very friendly, kitchen bar is a fun spot. Loved!“

“I recommend everything about this Restaurant....The food was amazing and so was the service.....The menu was simple and elegant. A nice selection of wine. My favorite was the chicken liver mousse with pistachio for appetizers. In addition, I like that they continue to follow Covid-19 protocol. We chose outdoor dining and felt safe and we really had a wonderful time.“

“Super unique and delicious maple praline brown butter pancakes! More cake than pancake. The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. “Amazing breakfast sandwich. Chicken sausage was so good and flavorful, spicy mayo was perfect. Perfectly toasted brioche was the cherry on top. They have a full menu and specials like corn bread french toast and shrimp and grits, will try that next time. Cappuccino was really good. Few seats inside, handful of tables outside. Food was made to order and unexpectedly very quickly. We left and almost came back to get something to go for lunch. Staff went above and beyond to welcome us in... definitely recommend“

“My husband and I dined here during our visit to NYC. We came from the Cincinnati area and it was our first visit to the city. When planning the trip, Colonie caught my eye so we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did, because it quickly turned into the absolute highlight of our trip and was an evening we won’t forget. The service is outstanding - each individual host made us feel like family. We were never short beverages, and our space at the chefs table was kept tidy at all times - no empty plates left behind. The sous chefs are impossibly talented at what they do and gave every single plate attention and care before it left their sight. And lastly, the Chef is a true artist and extremely kind, humble person. We were delighted when he walked over to pay a visit as it was our anniversary dinner. The food is layered with exquisite, complimentary flavors that are refined and articulate but also make these dishes relatable, familiar, and remarkable at the same time. As a couple traveling foodies, I can without a doubt say this is one meal you don’t want to miss when you visit NYC. I’m just waiting to visit again and see a Michelin star outside the entrance. “I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. “What a great time! Hart's was a great intimate evening. The restaurant is small, cozy but warm and inviting. The dim lights create such a romantic and private atmosphere even while sitting next to other tables. It was a nice evening of good service, great conversation and a lovely atmosphere. The food was also very good. The donut appetizer was savory and delicious. The clam toast was pretty good. The trout was incredible. It was light but filling and tasty. I would return just for that dish. The lamb burger was also a hit. The pork dish was good as well. We didn't really enjoy the lemon curd dessert but the drinks and wine selections were all wonderful.“

“I just love this place so much. The staff are always so warm and happy. The coffee is great. The croissants are so good. The chocolate croissants actually have gooey chocolate, not an unmelted chocolate log inside. The chocolate chip cookie is the best in the city. Yes. I said it. The other pastries are also great. I will say, the babkas are good but much too sweat for me. I only wish they have a few more seats inside.“

“We booked this place strictly off of seeing their viral Instagram post from @righteouseats and their affiliations with the Win Son restaurant across town. I thought Win Son was a 10/10 dining experience so of course I had high expectations. Service/Ambiance:We arrived as soon as they opened, and we were quickly seated in tables for two with stool type chairs it definitely was a tight squeeze as the place quickly filled up. There is really no where to place your coat if you're sitting in this area unless you walked about 10 feet to the bar are where there was a hook on the wall. Those backless chairs quickly became an issue for my 6'2" frame. Our waitress Sharon was excellent! She was attentive and super friendly and helpful making food recommendations, etc and definitely the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 3. Food:Food was mid for me. The toast tasted oily, the ribs were overcooked AND oily. You def needed that sauce but I wasn't going to pay $7 for a sauce sampler. The once saving grace was the rice. It was flavorful and yummy and the chicken was moist and crispy as it should be. I probably won't be visiting again and stick with Win Son restaurant and bakery.“

“Ok ok so this places looks beautiful service is lack luster for sure you can wear what you want no dress code. Cocktails disgusting can’t lie but I only tried 2 of them the food was good I had short ribs with the collard green pesto it was sooooo good an rib was tender for 30$ it definitely should be atleast 2 ribs on the plate potatoes were good as well 10/10 also oxtail pasta I thought it was disgusting 6/10 the person eating it thought it was delicious so it’s tbd all in all I wouldn’t recommend eating here“

“Came here for brunch with friends. We shared the breakfast gnocchi, the grilled cheese, the fried tofu, the shrimp burger, fried fingerlings, and beet salad. I also had a spicy margarita in honor of cinco de Mayo. Food came out pretty quickly. Mine, along with one of the group's, favorite was the shrimp burger. The fingerlings were a hit too. They were super busy on Sunday during peak brunch hours. Fortunately, we had a reservation. Lots of craft beer options. Two gender neutral restrooms.“

“The smoked salmon on sourdough was good. My friends enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and huevos rancheros.Our situation was a bit weird. We'd booked a table on the patio for my friend's birthday and we were on time for the reservation, but for some reason they gave our table away. They asked us to sit at a table inside by the bathrooms instead. We said we would prefer to wait for the table we booked outside, and we waited about 40 minutes. Once we sat down, everything was fine, just could've been a better experience.“

“Our favorite diner in Park Slope. Our most preferred dishes are the chicken & waffles, classic nachos, huevos rancheros, mango smoothie, cheeseburger, and enchiladas. The diner does Mexican dishes very well. Their house hot sauce is hot, makes me sweat, that's hot spicy it is. Strongly recommended.“

“Food: If you want to make your palate happy, this is a great neighborhood spot. Brunch: The steaks and eggs are well seasoned and always cooked to the requested temperature. Happy Hour: This is my favorite because you can't beat $1.50 for fresh oysters and beer. Service: The servers are attentive, and the bartenders are friendly. I love there is usually a basketball game on the screen. Ambiance: During the weekend, it is busy and can be a bit noisy if you are sitting at a table. I prefer the bar-top tables towards the back because I prefer hearing the people at my table. During the weekdays, it is a quieter and cute place to have a date night or get caught up with friends.“

“We were in town and found this restaurant after visiting the Brooklyn Library. We were pleased with the food and service. We also had mimosas and an espresso martini which was great. We made a reservation and was immediately sat with no wait when we arrived. I would've liked to see them cater to a more diverse crowd. Lacked a bit in diversity regarding patrons but I don't know if that's the restaurant's fault. We were the only minority there when we went. Overall we enjoyed our visit here.“

“Met up with my partner after a rehearsal she had down here (she’s the best!) anywho - tried to walk into red hook tavern without a res (like a coupla chumps!). They saidIt was gonna be a seven year wait til we could get the shrimp cocktail, so tail-between-our-legs we hobbled down Van Brunt (like adorable animated dogs from a 90’s Disney Movie) and poked our heads into TGFP (we are on an acronym basis at this point ;) - the vibes ? Immaculate. The food? Indescribable (( actually think the burger rivals RHT ?)), but I digress - unpretentious, creative menu, another gem of the neighborhood. Come here folks or I’ll come and get you !“

“I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate 6 months of dating. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess who seated us right away, even though we were a bit early. We were give. The table of our choice and then were met by our wonderful waitress Grace who began to share her thoughts on the menu and provide updates on which items were and were not available. The food came out in a very timely fashion and everything was delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Beet Salad, Parmesean Fries and we split the Brussel Sprouts. I ordered the Braised Ribs. Everything was made to perfection. We also had two cocktails each. Both drinks were made with premium alcohol and although they were strong, they didn’t overpower the flavor. I had a Chocolate Martini and she had the Blackberry Bramble. We finished up with a chocolate gelato and blood orange sorbet which were delectable together. The ambience was great and the decor was fabulous. We will definitely make a return visit.“

“Easy 5 Star for this place - one of the better steaks I've had in New York up there with Keen's for me. The place is really cool with a solid 1920s style and vibe and I definitely understand why they're getting more hype these days. Our wait staff was super accommodating - a friend was slightly late but they sat us, served us and didn't skip on anything. Started with the bread, chicken pate and the mushrooms, which were solid, shared a couple salads that were gigantic and then our steaks all came out great. I skipped on the charred lemon thing they do, but my friends were hype on it. Even on it's own, it was great. One thing that was kinda funny was the drink list. For some reason a Weller Special Reserve was $60/pour at 2 ounces, while Weller CYPB was like $24? Stagg was $19. Whoever runs the drinks program might want to read up on current market values, or if they do know then I love what's going on here, lol. Solid, solid wine list, too.“

“If you haven’t been to Ruthie’s lately, do yourself a favor and go. The menu has been tweaked to spectacular effect. The drinks are perfectly executed and delicious. The gem and chicory salad is so good I want to marry it. The rice and crab is tender and spicy and the burger was probably the best burger I’ve had in forever, and I am no pushover. Run don’t walk.“

“Yes, yes and more yes! We had a wonderful evening here. It hit all of the elements- ambiance, food and service- out of the park. They were so accommodating towards us. We enjoyed the mussels as a starter just to switch it up. It was a wonderful choice. Bread and sauce were delicious. We tried a number of their signature drinks including the pistachio which was unique and very good. The servers were helpful, personable, kind and of course my favorite- present without being overbearing. The short ribs were delectable with very tasty fries. The steak was perfectly cooked. I was afraid that I would still feel hungry since it was served with just a salad but the balance was perfect and I ended up feeling satisfied. We kept off the night with a sweet touch of soft served vanilla ice cream. A perfect way to end a lovely evening.“

“We started off with some tasty cocktails: A Japanese twist on a margarita and an amazing whiskey-based pink one (the name escapes me but it was truly unique and delicious. We had their rendition of a Caeser salad, which was enormous. The deep fried burrata was also quite big… and truly unique and scrumptious. I could have drank the cheesy broth all night. The fried hen was nice. The black cod was as well. The sticky pudding with lime ice cream dessert was massive, but the two of us managed. Also - get the potatoes…. A great compliment to everything.“
