“the place thats near us is a bar and grill, and its inside of a really old ass cottage thats sunken into the ground. Like its literally sunk into the ground by a good five or six feet or so, the whole building. So you gotta go into the stairwell they built under the road to get in there. I think it's not actually Jimmy's corner, but people call it Jimmy's corner. Mhmmm, Mhmmm, it's half eaten.“

“This is a real Irish bar. Not in the sense of taped up paper leprechauns or a tinsel HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY banner, but rather campaign photos of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as other candidates for office going back more than 100 years. It's one of the oldest bars in New York City, and decorated with historical markers, play tickets, political posters and buttons, as well as a painting of a naked lady! Your choices for drinks are light ale or dark ale. They make good sandwiches, too.“

“One of the best dive bars in NYC. Would recommend stopping if you're in TriBeCa or Chinatown - Whiskey, beer or another libation! Super atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Don't hesitate to grab a table in the mezzanine overlooking the bar. The eats ain't so bad too!“

“Went to a catered event there today. What a fun place! Very comfortable. Absolutely fantastic food!! Huge variety and really cool takes on comfort food. Deconstructed chicken and biscuits, brats in pretzel roll (pigs and a blanket) beautiful salad. I would come back for the food alone! And beautiful cocktails. Sampled espresso martini and cosmos. Both delicious not overly sweet perfectly balanced. Service was seamless. Everything seemed to appear exactly when you wanted it. I will definitely be going there again!!“

“About 5 minutes walk from 14th station. A long-established bistro founded in 1960. It's a rarity in the U.S. It's cash only and has a simple menu on the wall.BISTRO BURGER 15.75/Fries 5.5Served in less than 10 minutes. An unexpected paper plate. An 8oz (230g) patty with cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The buns were not cut until the end, so I ate them with random pieces on them. The overall taste is well-balanced, and it is characterized by being simply delicious. However, I didn't have a fork or anything, so the meat juices dripped down, which was a big deal.It is classified as quite small among American burgers. Recommended when you want to eat something quick.“

“Dive Bar is a nice spot!! Located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the atmosphere + vibes are quintessential for a dive (& that's what makes it so great). They make a good margarita and their fries are a perfect shareable bite!!“
“Boogie was a fantastic bartender. This is a great punk bar! Loved the service, the conversation, and while the bathrooms smelled a little bad, there was soap and toilet paper in them which is a win :) I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a good punk bar in Brooklyn!“

“We had drinks in this wonderful bar. It was most cozy, relaxed and nicely worn. The service was ok, though there was only the bartender thus you had to wait for the drinks. The location is perfect after dinner in SoHo. The music was not played too loud - you could discuss there. The pricing was moderate. We could come back.Parking: I would come by the subway or Uber.“
“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“

“A must go! It's a fun dive bar type of vibe but definitely good music and a lot of fun. The best part is the themed shots! I can't say much more but definitely check it out when you go!!! They have so many unique drinks all reasonably priced. Will be back!“

“Stopped by while out and it was a cozy dive bar with various drink options. I tried the Nothing Rhymes with Blood Orange Margarita which was good ... a little on the sweet side but not too bad. Overall it was a nice experience due to the nice staff and ability to drink, relax and chat with friends over the low music.“

“Bob's is the most balanced bar in NY : his cheap beers come with a very serious service. Games are available for free, and the place is spacy enough for you to bring all your friends to get wasted or more. Trustable owner who kept my ID for several days before I realized I lost it while laying l the floor. Thanks Bob's!“
“What an awesome spot. Felt like I was in the basement of some 70s sitcom character. Truly one of the best curated atmospheres of any dive bar I’ve been to in the city! Also, gotta love the super affordable drinks in a not-so-affordable part of Manhattan.“
“A couple of weeks ago I visited this place and I loved the relationship that the artist can have with the audience, the stage is very intimate and you can appreciate it so close, in addition to a great audio sound that makes the experience immersive, I congratulate you, engineer. audio of the place , the drinks are at a good price and the place is easy to access, 2 blocks away you find the nearest train. I will be back very soon and will add it to my favorite places.“

“I used to go to the original location many years ago when I lived in NYC, so I was eager to check out the new location on a recent trip. It's still a classic New York dive bar with great service and great prices. As long as the Subway Inn still stands, I'll make a point to visit every time I'm in the city.“
“We went to a fancy meal and my wife surprised me with this treasure after. If you like dive bars, if you like glam rock, and if you like places with no marketing department, then THIS is your place. David and Gayla were the regulars we hung out with. If they aren't there, just sit on the far right, and look up. Their names are on the ceiling. They were awesome. I bartended for 14 years and tried to make everyone's day better through my actions. You MEET Pete for 10 seconds, and he doesn't have to talk. Your day is already better. He knew about the Britney Fox breakup and played the band, he knew about how Whitesnake dissed John Sykes, and now will go listen to Blue Murder albums. He played Warrant. He played Kix. And he played Extreme pre-Van Halen and then had a conversation about all Van Halen singers. And there are specials, some with Bud, and one shot and beer for us IPA drinkers. Magical experience. And pretty sure Ed Norton was there. Pic below. Good luck finding the entrance, but it is worth it once you do. Definitely recommend, and see you there (next time I am out East).“

“The service was excellent. They are busy so don't expect to be served immediately. Joe and Armon were superb. Both friendly and worked fluently. It isn't your traditional NYC pizza. We ordered the pizza and garlic knots and they were both delicious. Highly Recommend.“

“Love this place! You can’t go wrong visiting At The Wallace, whether you’re looking for a quick drink and a snack or a bar to hang out and socialize in. Their Drag Race watch parties are always a great time, the service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. They’ve even got arcade games and giant Jenga in the back!“

“Great #NewYorkCity #DiveBar #SportsBar with cold 32oz buckets of beer and sports enriched entertainment. They have amazing parties throughout the year...the best is the Christmas Buffet and Specials. Overall a good place to crash with friends or to make them!“
“I stopped by dive 75 last night after work tonight and I had the best experience ever. Josie is the best bartender, he’s great at making drinks and is a genuine human being. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for a long time his work ethic and genuine care for who he is serving is incredible. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area“

“Great cocktails. Great selection of alcohols (found one of my favorite rums) and the food is all great. Can't stop thinking about the pizza with peperoncini in it. It was incredible. We went as a group of 4 on Christmas Eve and the bartender, David, was amazing and really helpful. I'll definitely be going back soon when in the neighborhood!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front if I remember correctly.“

“I remember hearing about the movie and wasn’t aware that there was a real bar on 14th street. The level of service I received from the front door personnel/Security to everyone else was impeccable. I have to start with Awna. Her vibe is from a different planet and she serves up great drinks. Her level of service is top notch in my book. But then she pulled out a microphone and started walking and dancing on the bar. She pulled no punches on the mic when it turned into a comedy show, good times. I also met Paula who is very kind and knows how to control the commotion. After my first visit I couldn’t resist and came a second time. This is where I met Amber who poured great drinks and wasn’t afraid to get on the bar and turn it up. If you are looking for a great time, funny commentary from the bartenders, good drinks this is the go to place on 14th street.“

“I'm so glad to see this is open again. This was a regular stop for me when I first moved to the city in 2008. I'd stop in for a bite to eat and some casual conversation. Friendly people, great food and just a really laid back vibe. Live music was always on point. Great locals bar!“

“Personality is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about this dive bar. Graffiti, cavernous ambiance, pool table in the back, in-your-face attitude. They even have "ass juice" (some sort of fruit punch) for just $4, if you're into it. You certainly don't come here for their beer selection, but more looking for a place to mind your own freaking business and be left alone. So indulge yourself here enjoying a peaceful drink while listening to cool tunes. True, you may get distracted by their small tv showing x-rated scenes you most surely won't find (almost) anywhere else, but this is part of the experience at Double Down Saloon. Feeling like you need a different night? This is the place you wanna be. Oh... forgot to mention: it's a CYOP bar (clean your own puke).“
“To start things of --> go there on Friday at 1am that's when you will have the best time there but nevertheless it is always a good place to go as my buddies and I used to say "Let's go Home...... Sweet Home!" (It's an insider now).Great drinks and great dancefloor even that you have an option to hang your coats somewhere without paying even tho you take the risk of them getting stolen but I have been there 5 times and they never got stolen.Age range is quite good, normally it's Collage age but sometimes there are some older people too which is okay I guess. The best thing to say is that the bouncer is nice and sensible. I have experienced a lot of bouncers being a**holes and misusing their power. But the bouncers at Home Sweet Home are likeable. Shout-out.“

“Had the turkey burger, which didn't seem to be the forte of the place. Turkey burger was thin and dry, probably from frozen. The beef burger the other guest had was perfect. The seasoned fries were delicious! I asked the bartender about drink specials and he had nothing to say other than "A beer comes with a shot" I ordered a cranberry vodka and it was just that.I did like the atmosphere, the service was okay. The food, I didn't like that turkey burger at all.“
“Customers ought to know the facts before posting. 1020 Bar is awesome. The "random bartender'" has been there for many years. Recent management/ownership has changed (much for the better) and I'm very sure any closing was a temporary safety issue. Try to be like the bar-chill.“

“Ah, Mona's. Where else can you rub elbows with neighborhood seniors while watching Jeopardy!, listen to live jazz music every week, and people watch the youths of tomorrow coming in to get their drink on?Mona's is part of the Sophie's and Josie's family, and while the bars are similar--Sophie's and Josie's having near-identical layouts--everyone's got their favorite, mine being Mona's. As with all local dives, showing up with a good attitude and not being cheapskate when it comes to tipping will make your time infinitely more fun.“
“One of the few classic nyc dive bars left. Been here on a few nights. Saturday nights can get pretty packed, it's usually the same green haired bartender working. Just her. Yet she makes sure every one has a drink, with very little time waiting. She has the perfect demeanor needed to deal with rude customers that stroll on through thinking they're going to come hang out in the EV like it's second season of the Jersey Shore. Get the F outta here. Lucky is a real-life fun time.“
“This place is crazy! The country music on the jukebox was rocking, the beautiful women were dancing, and the drinks were strong and tasty! This place was nonstop fun! And the craziest part.....this was like at 6pm! We had just started our evening and found our way to Doc Hollidays. It was packed to the gills. I could swear it was already peak party time at 11pm at night. But no! It was barely 6!The only bummer was that they only take cash before 9pm I think it was. So bring plenty of bills if you want to drink early. The bartenders were very nice so don't you dare short them on tips! My brother, like an idiot, gave the bartender exact cash for the first round and she took her time getting back to us with our second drink. But after I started leaving a more generous tip we found ourselves back in her good graces. My apologies for my brother ma'am.Anyways, it was a great time and we will definitely visit next time we are in New York.“
“Awesome find for a dive bar where you will not find many or no tourist. Staff all friendly based on a one night visit with other runners (we are here for the 2023 NY Marathon). Great selection of beers and ales and I'd definitely a chill atmosphere“
“This is a great place in the east village that feels like untouched East village for years! It has that vintage feel, plus a great jukebox which is a plus to play your own music. The drinks are extremely cheap which means this is a great place to pregame or end the night or even just come after work on a weekday. The bartenders seem to have a cult following and friendship with lots of their regulars from what I see on Instagram. That’s pretty cool. Good vibes overall“

“A real dive bar, not a wanna-be dive bar! We went to The Library on a recent Friday night and it reminded me of the way most of the bars in the East Village used to be many years ago. If you like 80s and 90s alternative and punk music, you will never find a better juke box. Don't change anything, please!“

“what a fun and exciting bar. It is very overcrowded but for a good reason. The beers are cheap and they give you free hotdogs. The bartenders were hustling so it diodnt feel bad to weat a little. This place is a must if you are in the theatre district / close to port authority. Good for late night.“
