“There is a certain kind of very important restaurant in New York, which looks like an auto-parts store on the inside, has staff that are very new to English, and serves food that’s hard to find anywhere else in America. This is one of those restaurants. Everything we tried on the menu was beautiful and aromatic, some spicy and some mild, always comfort food. Not fancy, completely affordable, and highly localized in one region of western China. Lamb abounds, and the rice noodles are homemade. Chowhounds will love it. Rough and satisfying, this is an uncut diamond.“
“I'm from Hong Kong and have lived and traveled all over China, and there's not a better Chinese restaurant than this. My son and I have been going there almost every Saturday lunch for 3 years, and we're sooooo sad they're gone“

“The vibe was so chill and welcoming. The service was on point, super friendly, and attentive. Talking about the food, it was next-level delicious! Momo, Tea and chilly aloo was superb. The flavors were so authentic and just exploded in my mouth. Overall, 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!"“

“Excellent decor, you can miss it from it's non descript exterior but once you walk through the door it opens up into a large space with fully stocked bar and a pleasing aesthetic. The beef tripe in chilli sauce is excellent and my favorite off the menu. They also give generous portions of both food and wine for a great price that doesn't break the bank.“

“Jiang Nan was largely the same amazing food quality as the one in Boston. Atmosphere and service were exceptional. The staff were gracious with accompanying a medium-sized group without a reservation and they provided great care when taking care of us.“

“I came here after claiming my free bubble tea from one of Yelp's events since I was in the area. I visited the LIC Lunar New Year events website and saw that this spot had a sampler special. I took a chance on it. After disputing with staff and management that the deal on the website ends at the end of the month, they had adjusted their online menus to provide the sampler option to order. I did get the sampler without having to spend extra. Portions were generous and fresh. I ate half and took the other half home for the family. The ambiance was designed for locals living in the area, not so much for outsiders like me. I saw that Kuku has other locations, so I may check those out.“

“Today was my birthday and my wife asked me where I wanted to dine out with our two kids. I mentioned a few options, and asked for her thoughts. She mentioned having gong to Yummy Yummy with some of her girl friends recently. I agreed and we headed out there. We arrive about 6:45pm and most Bell Blvd, 48th Ave or adjacent streets surrounding the restaurant are paid metered parking till 7pm Mon thru Sat, and Free Sundays. On the side roads if you walk further you'll notice where the paid metered parking ends there is free public parking. My wife called ahead and made reservations for my birthday for 7pm. In conversation they reserved us half a Hainanese Chicken. That was a good idea because the place was packed at 85% full when we arrived. This evening was cold and a col breeze would rush in when the front door was opened. This restaurant has its own style. It's clean, well lit, ceiling fans in the front half with wood planks hanging vertically evenly space like steps getting lower toward the front of the restaurant. The planks are burnt with texture and they seemed to absorb sound making the restaurant atmosphere less noisy with so many patrons talking - it was comfortable and you could hold a conversation. The tables and chairs were sturdy, clean, and did not rock or creak. The wait staff were courteous and attentive. If you speak Cantonese you'll enjoy your dining experience because my wife conversed with our waitress asking about dishes before we ordered. We ordered the following dishes and am listing them in the order they were served.Roti Pancake - we ordered two which was served with a small bowl of curry chicken with chucks of potato.Cumin Pork Knuckles - served in a plastic basket they were crispy and mouthwatering savory.Fried Beef Chow Fun - my son immediately mentioned the dish had Wok Hei, the beef and noodle was savory.Steak with Back Truffle and Mushrooms - The beef was tender , with thick slices of mushroom and potato, and the truffle infused sauce was delicious.Hainanese Chicken - there was a slight wait on this dish. The check was tender and moist, it was served on a bed of thin sliced cucumber. A sauce tray with four sauces accompanied the chicken adding to the flavor of this dish.* I'd recommend any of the dishes we ordered, but my top favorites were the Chow Fun and Steak.Normally I'd have provide pictures of all our dishes, but the food did not disappoint so I was only able to ask at the last moment my daughter to snap a quick picture of the Hainenese Chicken which I'm still waiting on her to forward to me for this review.Payment - We were told they didn't take Discover, and listed MasterCard or Visa, and cash is king.I gave Yummy Yummy 5 Stars based on the food, service, and atmosphere. There are more and more quality Asian restaurants beyond Manhattan/Chinatown, , Brooklyn/Chinatown, and Flushing/Chinatown. I'd rate it $$, but I'd keep in mind that prices have been rising. *One unofficial litmus test I'd point out is that if an Asian restaurant is patronized by a high number of Asian regularly there is a high chance the food is good.“

“Sooo good! It felt so homey in there and they had so much variety. Service was fantastic and timely, I came with some friends and we had so much food to go around. The appetizers came first and we were warmly surprised by the amount of food we had go around. All the flavors were on point and my fav was the drunken noodle, flavored to perfection. Super chill in there and would definitely go again!“

“Stopped at Mira Sushi on the way to JFK. Atmosphere was great, very welcoming the second you enter, no wait. Menu is extensive, lots of delicious options for food and drink at reasonable prices. Food was absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and tasty. Service was great too. There was never a time where we were waiting to be helped. Employees are very friendly. 10/10 would recommend.“

“Hidden gem in the industrial part of LIC. Cool rooftop with vibe-worthy views. Dine inside or outside when you come here. That’s if the doorman doesn’t give you a hard time for seating. People get turned away for unfashionable wears for some reason. It’s nice upstairs but come on. If you planned to eat here, challenge the no entry and ask for a manager. All money is green or digital lol. The lobster Benedict was great! Steak & eggs get the job done as well. Bottomless mimosas are a good deal, ask for a carafe. You might get it! Huge restaurant without a live DJ on Saturdays. They want Manhattan dress codes in place and no live DJ??? You do have live entertainment, belly dancers come out to shake it up late in the afternoon. Fun times and DJ would definitely help justify the dress code restrictions. Go hard, or I’m going somewhere else.“

“Cash only. There is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant. This is my go to spot for Taiwanese pork chop over rice when I'm in the area. I've done both take out and dine in and the food is consistent. Pork chop is crispy; add an egg. Besides the Taiwanese pork chop over rice, the Stinky Tofu and the Clams with Basil were good as well.“

“This is a small little restaurant right at the heart of Astoria and out of such a big melting pot of cuisine. JJ's Fusion stands out as having amazing food that is always very fresh. I personally love ordering their sushi along with some other courses. I have never been let down by the food, the staff, or the establishment whatsoever. Highly recommended. Very good pricing for such amazing food!“

“First time having Chinese Indian food and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was tasted so flavorful and well seasoned. It's definitely a change up if you want something different. The staff were so friendly, we weren't sure what to order and they offered plenty of ideas for us. One thing to note, the food can get quite spicy if you can't handle spice. But it is good it's worth the burn. Space is small so if you want to eat inside, I would suggest coming a bit earlier to get a seat. I would definitely recommend!“

“I come here at least once a week and I wouldn't go no where else! The food is always amazing, the servers know how to do their job and even go above and beyond. My favorite part is that no matter how much I eat I never feel sick afterwards. I've dined at plenty of BBQ spots and no matter what the meat makes me feel bloated but not here. Would highly recommend.“

“The seafood and meat are very fresh. I think this is the best seafood hot pot restaurant in Flushing. The dining experience is also very good, and the service of the waiter Kai is also very attentive. Just use the pad to order. However, it is recommended to choose a table with a large pot. Personally, the small pot is a bit small.“

“I visit a lot of Korean restaurants, and I'm a fan of stews and cold noodles, and they're good at budae-jjigae. It was the closest to the taste I had in Korea. The interior was clean and had the feel of a cozy cafe. Good luck to you, owner. I'll come back again.“

“Came here on a Saturday for dinner without a reservation and the place is pretty spacious so we got seated right away. It's located kind of away from flushing proper so the restaurant itself is pretty big unlike some of the more cramped spots. The food was pretty good honestly, you can tell it's very genuine Szechuan style cooking. We had the spicy beef and string beans they were both so flavorful. I have never been so excited about any vegetable dishes but the beans were one of the favorite Chinese vegetable dishes ever. We also got spicy fish, the fish was fried first then put into spicy soup. The cooking style is amazing and everything was delicious. The spice they use are fresh and not too much for my taste. Our service though was a bit slow and I think at some point they forgot to make our fish and we had to ask multiple times before it finally came out. Would have been great if service was better but overall flavors are amazing and would definitely come again!“
