“10/10 highly recommend. Read about Potluck Club on the infatuation and they were spot on. Potstickers were delicious. The salt and pepper chicken was a first for me, but also delicious. And we had some noodle dish and added the hanger steak. Again delicious. Staff was so friendly and all busting their butts. Really nice to see them working as a team!“

“In NYC for a few days and visited OBAO - and couldn't recommend any higher. Our waiter, Beer was excellent - running us through the menu and giving us recommendations (two of which we took up).I highly recommend the short rib massamam which was recommended to me. A favourite of mine, OBAOs was hands down the best Massamam I've tried.Massive shout out again to Beer - for going above and beyond to making our visit memorable.“

“Had a very good meal at Thep Thai. Came here on a sunday afternoon, there was no wait, and our waitress (Gift) was very attentive and checked in often even though we sat in a back corner outside. The food was also amazing, some of the best Thai food we had in UES. Definitely would recommend.“

“Even on limited time, I make it a priority to visit PLANTA whenever we're in the same city. I walked here from the Empire State Building, and it was bustling on a Saturday evening. I happily sat at the bar. FIRECRACKER ROLL This was on their April exclusive menu. Filled with Japanese sweet potato, avocado, unagi, and topped with gochujang mayo & chili salt. DELICIOUS! It deserves to be a staple menu item. TORCHED AND PRESSED One of my go-to menu items. This roll is so melt-in-your-mouth creamy. I drool every time. I even convinced some girls sitting at the bar to order this roll. BANG BANG BROCCOLI My numero uno go-to dish since I visited the SOBE location a few years ago. Will never not order this. Crunchy. Flavorful. Amazing in every way. As they were leaving, a couple asked me about this dish and I let them each have one floret. They were sold! (Not all PLANTAs have the same dishes, but luckily, two of my favs have been at all the ones I've visited: FL, CA, IL, & NY.) TRUFFLE RICE I tend to avoid the main dishes and stick with starters and sushi, but I wanted to try something different. Unfortunately, I should've followed my instincts. It had a nice flavor to it, but it was dry and the rice was overcooked. Disappointing. There was so much potential with the cumulation of ingredients. As a PLANTA Passport holder who doesn't live near a PLANTA, I was excited to be able to use my birthday reward - a free dessert! But they didn't have my fav available- the giant chocolate chip cookie, so I ended up passing on dessert. Service was great. As busy as he was, he kept my water glass filled. The worst part about my visit is that I rushed out to catch my Uber back to Brooklyn and left my leftovers on the counter. I may have shed a tear about it. Tip: there are outlets and hooks at the bar.“

“Let me start off by saying, if you want to complain about prices, don't even walk in the door. To get the optimal experience at any restaurant, you have to pay to play. So expect to spend about $70-100 per person here, this is a spot you take someone on a knock-it-out-of-the-park date or group gathering, you can't be a cheapskate. Now, to the food. Vietnamese BBQ is an intimate experience. Order the 7 course beef so you can try everything while the staff explains and helps you cook your meat. The electric grills are of the highest quality, the same ones they use at high-end Japanese yakiniku places, so the smoky taste on your cooked beef will be perfect. If you want to order a la carte, I highly recommend the Tomahawk, Madame Prawns and Charred Uni. Like I said, this is a place where you share your meal with friends and family so all the food is portioned that way.“

“Food overall was delicious, I tried one of the cocktails was also well made and tasty. Was a little noisy but expected from a popular restaurant. Service was great and always ask if we are good with everything or if we needed anything. A must try when in time square.“

“The dining experience as a whole was satisfactory; certain dishes stood out while others fell short of expectations. The entrees, particularly the fried chicken, failed to leave a lasting impression, especially when contrasted with the myriad of exceptional Korean fried chicken offerings available in NYC. The cod was one-note with an overpowering gochugang curry sauce. There were notable highlights such as the sea urchin steamed egg, the squash, and the refreshing sujeonggwa granita, though the occasional overpowering presence of cinnamon in the granita detracted slightly from the overall enjoyment. I would recommend a visit to sample select items, but skip the fried chicken and cod.“

“Should not have so much onions in the food. My lunch box comes with 2 pan cakes of suck. I hated them. It's just flour with lots of onions. Most Buddhists don't eat onions and scallions. Salad was fresh. Ambiance good. Quiet with no music.“

“I don't know if it's a hidden gem or just a gem in the Financial district. My husband, mother in law and I had dinner here last night, and everything was fabulous. The waiter was very accommodating, as we requested hot water instead of regular cold water because of my mother in law, they were very nice and provided a beautiful teapot with small tea cups, such a cute detail! For food we shared the appetizer platter, coconut soup and a pad Thai. The food was incredible, so flavorful! The place itself is beautiful, we loved the decorations and the choice of cutlery and dishes. One can clearly notice that a lot of thought went into creating this place. I'd recommend it if you're in this area of town. 10/10“

From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. Their professionalism and attentiveness elevated my visit to new heights. Their mastery of mixology was evident in every cocktail they crafted, each one a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. Their genuine enthusiasm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.I must also commend Giussepe, the manager, for his excellence and attentiveness. “This restaurant exceeded all expectations! A definite must-visit for anyone in NYC craving exceptional food, service, and atmosphere.Starting with the ambiance, stepping through the revolving doors transports you into a world of elegance. The golden bar, stocked with top-shelf selections, catches the eye immediately. To the right, a chic cocktail lounge area adorned with rose gold velvet chairs invokes a nostalgic 70s vibe, complemented by tasteful gold accents. The red room at the back exudes glamour and sophistication with its rich red accents, creating an atmosphere of opulence. Even the bathrooms, with their beautiful and impeccably clean facilities, maintain the luxurious gold theme. Our choice of high top booths near the cocktail lounge allowed us to fully appreciate the architectural beauty and aesthetic charm of the restaurant. The Motown music added to the ambiance, setting the perfect mood for enjoying drinks and good company. Now, onto the customer service - our server Mary was simply outstanding. Her blend of humor, warmth, and reliability elevated our dining experience to another level. She went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Her attention to detail ensured that each member of our group felt catered to and comfortable throughout the dining experience. Celebrating my birthday, Mary's attentive service and infectious smile made the occasion even more memorable for our group of four. And then there's the food... where do I even begin? Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, leaving us wanting more with every bite. The flavors were so exquisite that I was tempted to lick the plate clean, but of course, I had to maintain my composure. I could rave about the entire menu, but some standout items that deserve extra praise include:Wasabi lobster********Lobster tempura roll (hand cut)********Wok lobster****Wagyu skewers*********Edamame*****Lobster dumplings***Spicy shrimp rice*******“

“Everything was beautifully done. The hamachi stole the show -- it was one of the best bites I've had in my life, just perfectly balanced. The snow crab pasta was close behind it. It was so flavorful and completely different from any other pasta dish I've had. The sangria was also a twist on something done frequently that made you take an extra second to think about it. The service was speedy and everyone was very attentive. This was just so enjoyable.“

“Very authentic Chinese food ? I thought the prices were very reasonable, my friend and I ordered the sliced beef in chili oil and, the crab meat soup dumpling and two rice, and we left very satisfied - although some dishes on the menu can be much more expensive than what we ordered. The place is a bit cramped but that's to be expected for east village. The wait can get long also, so try to come a bit before the usual dinner time (6 ish pm on a weekday)I cannot wait to come back and try other dishes!“

“I have been coming to this establishment since it was legit a box on the block. If you walked too fast you'd miss it...and I'm so excited and impressed on how they've transformed to become such edgy, dateworthy and "Instagrammable" sit down dining restaurant.Prices & Food: very reasonable, includes lunch time specials that won't dent the pockets. I haven't had all of the dishes on the menu but the ones that I have had I enjoyed. I ❤️ the fact that they stay true to their roots regarding heat levels. They don't dummy it down for us NYers..you came there remember! On the flip..they should stay true to their roots and not serve fried chicken wings the way we do up here. That was a miss ?Cleanliness: ? they nailed it! The bathroom decor is something I'd be inspired to copy and VERY clean, smells good, etc. I hold a sanitation certificate so EVERYWHERE I go I'm looking in corners, looking at the ceiling, under the tables..I need to know my area is clean to enjoy my food! 5stars!Service: No complaints. Each server has been attentive and patient; never really hovering to rush me and my party out so much appreciated ?I would very much recommend coming here. Nice for a solo date or bring a party. The place is inviting and seats about 40 people in total I believe. Warm months brings outside dining, never done it, but it looks ?Wheelchair accessibility: Establishment provides outdoor dining and has a ramp! Thoughtful!“

“Got the papaya salad, pad spicy miso eggplant & shiitake fried rice. Papaya salad- that was pretty spicy, very fresh and crunchy. I couldn't tell if there was papaya in there because it was white? Eggplant- good flavors and well done, needed a bit more rice though because it was again, quite spicy. Shiitake fried rice- no overall complaints, I liked it, but wish it had a bit less oil.“

“Wow, what a dope experience. I already had high expectations for this place, but was still blown away by the food, the drinks and the hospitality. So much thought and flavor behind each bite and sip. This is the type of place that's gonna be the right choice regardless. “The service was a little slow but we had the whole restaurant to ourselves so no complaints - it was basically a quiet little oasis in the middle of this noisy city. Half of the menu is similar to the one at May Kaidee if you're familiar with that place, the other half is more "fruitarian" although I don't think they define fruitarian as a diet purely based on fruit. The influence is Thai-Indian. Nothing was overly oily or salty which is just what I hope for when I eat out. Portions could be slightly bigger. I'll be back to try more things!“

“I came to this restaurant for dinner last night. Overall, I was not impressed and was even a little disappointed. In terms of service, I wanted to get help three times last night but could not find the waiter, and even when I waved, he did not come over to ask. I don’t understand if they had other things to deal with yesterday and were very busy, but when dining in, There were only three tables in the area where I ate. In terms of food, I learned about the Peking duck in this store from the xhs app. I went there for the Peking duck and hot stone wagyu. The wagyu was very thin. Yesterday’s waiter took a long time to fry it, and the wagyu was too thin. It started to roll up, so it wasn't heated evenly and was overcooked in the middle. Yesterday I ordered four dishes of Peking duck, sliced duck with pancake, lychee wood-smoked sliced duck, soup, and salt and pepper duck rack. The pancake was as thin as paper and elastic, which was very good. It was eaten wrapped with Peking duck and lychee. The wood smoke is very ordinary, there is no smell of lychee wood, it is just ordinary smoke. The soup is well made and not greasy at all. It also contains barley, yam and wolfberry. The most disappointing thing is the salt and pepper duck rack. I don’t know if the chef was in a hurry to cook it, but some were extremely salty and some were tasteless. I didn’t order wine yesterday, but ordered hot tea. I feel like this place is more suitable for a drink and a get-together. I can invite friends over for drinks next time, but the food still has a lot of room for improvement.“

“Ordered a salmon bowl and a side of plantains from here for delivery after finding out Lolo’s closed due to rent hikes (honestly screw landlords ?) but I can confidently say this place is gonna be my new plantain spot bc wow are they good.Salmon bowl was good too, pineapple rice was really delish (a little dry but I ordered the food like 30 mins before the store closed so they still get 5 stars bc dry rice towards the end of the day is just reality and the sauce from the salmon made up for it).Wok veggies were very fresh too (which is again impressive considering ordering right before closing time).“

“When I came to New York, I really wanted to eat Taiwanese food, so I used Uber eats to find this Chinese restaurant and ordered it once on 4/3, 4/4, and 4/6.The food is all very delicious and of a high standard. Maybe because I am Taiwanese, I feel that many dishes tend to be oily. What impressed me most was the stir-fried bean sprouts (vegetarian), which really covered the bottom of the plate with a layer of oil. , it should be oilier than the stir-fried vegetables in Taiwanese hot stir-fry restaurants. It may have been adjusted to suit American tastes, but it is still delicious! The bean sprouts are full of tenderness.Compared with Taiwanese food, a delivery portion can feed 3-4 people without any problem, and the taste and portion are quite sufficient. What I really like is the spicy and sour potato shreds, which are spicy and sour enough. The crispiness of the potato shreds is also very good. In contrast, if I order the hot pepper potato shreds afterwards, it is much inferior. The potato shreds are not crispy enough and have no texture. Highly recommended, if you can tolerate spicy food, I recommend ordering the hot and sour flavor.I have ordered lettuce with scallion oil twice. It tastes good but the portion is small. It can only be served for 1-2 people (I can eat it all by myself). It tastes very good. The family tradition of pickled pork soup is also very delicious. It is a soup that takes time to cook. However, my family felt very thirsty after eating it. The pork belly, sliced and bamboo shoots are very filling, but the texture of the bamboo shoots is not that crispy. .The seafood fried noodles are above the standard, with enough ingredients and moderate seasoning. Since I can’t finish it, I have to refrigerate it to eat the next day. The texture of the noodles is still the same and not too bad.Kelp and winter melon pork ribs soup. The kelp is a bit too big for Taiwanese people, making it inconvenient to eat. The soup is very flavorful, and the flavor of the winter melon is cooked in. The ribs may not be very chewy because they have been stewed for too long.Based on the above, if Taiwanese come to New York and miss Chinese food, they can come here to eat. The taste is not bad and the per capita price is about US$20-30 (in terms of delivery platforms).“

“Had dinner with my sister who lives in NY and she suggested it. An elevated, modern Korean spot with a NY flair. They have a prix fix menu where you can get an appetizer and main course. I got the yuzu bacon pasta starter and she got the crab pasta. Both were very delicious. The yuzu bacon had a little sweetness to it and definitely tasted the yuzu in the bacon. Wasn't sure the flavors were going to work but they definitely did. And given we were in NY, you know the pasta was cooked perfectly. The crab noodles were also good and they had a szechuan type slight numbing spice but not super spicy, just some heat. We also got the calamari salad which had some nice citrus brightness to it and was a nice contrast to the pasta. I got the truffle donabe which is like a beef bibimpap with truffles. It was pretty good although the rice was slightly over cooked so it went from crispy to burnt which was a tad disappointing. Otherwise, it was pretty flavorful and the truffles didn't over power the rest of the flavors. We got the shishito peppers to accompany the meal and it was nice to have some greens to what was an otherwise pretty carb-y meal. We finished with some desserts which were good but not spectacular. The drinks are pretty good there too and the service was good although sometimes it took awhile to get an order. We sat upstairs which had a classic ambiance to it. It was a very good and different meal which I enjoyed. Not sure I would definitely go again but would recommend if you want to try a spin on Korean food.“

“Definitely not authentic Taiwanese food although they aren't trying to be (stated multiple times on their website). But this place was pretty good! Kind of a fun twist on traditional Taiwanese foods. - Taiwanese sausage fried rice - a pretty solid dish although nothing super special to write home about. Sausage as expected, lots of egg, and pretty salty. - Hakka stir fry - good wok hei flavor and quite spicy, especially those peppers! Nice combo of celery, pork, and tofu. - pea shoots - honestly I thought these weren't salty enough (which I can't believe I'm saying about a restaurant! Usually things are too salty if anything). Otherwise the flavor was good - seaweed fries - best thing we got! I highly recommend! The kewpie mayo sauce is a great complement to the salty umami flavor of the sesame and seaweed. Yum! Overall pretty good meal, although if you're going during peak hours, be prepared for a wait!“

“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“
