“I have returned from my hiatus to speak on behalf of parable (again). Pastries just wake me up like nothing else. I say that but every time I try to get to parable "early" (i.e., before 10am), I fail to do so ;'( But it's ok! These days there are still goodie pastries available for the sleepy birbs (hurrah) Unfortunately, my gastrointestinal system did not hunger at that hour of the morn, so the spinach artichoke danish was a bit of an underwhelming experience, even though the danish was freshly toasted ;'( I liked the chip though (cronch). Otherwise, it kind of gave artichoke dip but served in a pastry vessel instead of a plastic container. I enjoyed the honey grapefruit brûlée circle croissant and guava cream cheese pastelito more. Neither were too sweet and both had nice crispity crunchities! Service was very thoughtful as well! Whenever staff brought pastries to someone's table, they'd always ask if the person would like a fork and would then go run and grab one. I personally prefer to go feral on my food with my fingers but the gesture seemed very kind. Also, I'm pretty sure the entire album of The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess was played. We stan queer icons“

“I had high expectations coming here and they were exceeded. Very flavorful! Too many restaurants are cautious about flavor but Comune really goes for it. This does mean you may be better off going with a group comfortable sharing so if something is too sour, spicy, etc., someone else at your table will like it if you don't. Some subtle flavors here are impressive too! Everything is medium sized (kind of like proper Spanish tapas) which is really fun--esp for sharing. Beware the servers may recommend ordering A LOT of food. If you are drinking, three choices for two should be plenty to start and likely enough total--then order 1-2 more only if you are still hungry. Tables can be small so they can't serve you more than 1-2 dishes at a time anyway. If you cook veg food at home there are so many ideas to play with from here. I'm going to try to make quick carrot pickles, cook with crispy rice, and celeriac at home in the coming months now too. Sometimes I'll only discover 1-2 techniques or dishes I want to make at home PER YEAR eating out so to be inspired by three different things in a single meal is wonderful. I almost never go places that can cost $50-$75 per person but this is absolutely worth it. So so good!“

“We went on a tour here to learn about how they make their spirits. The tour was great, and our guide Maggie was very informative while being casual and easy to talk to. I would love to go back and meet their spirit master Adam. Prices are average compared to other places in Columbus. Vodka and gin are very affordable without tasting cheap. Only negative is there isn’t much parking. Overall I am more than satisfied with my experience here. Can’t wait for the bourbon to be released!!“

“Gahanna's hidden gem!! I can't believe I had not been here yet! You walk in and order at the counter and then can either eat there at any table or take to go. They package everything to-go. I got the chicken with provolone, hot peppers, and mayo. My husband got steak, cheese wiz, provolone, hot peppers, spicy mustard, and mayo. The peppers are very hot. So if you don't handle spicy, get the sweet peppers instead. The sandwiches are cut in half and big enough to share. They have a full bar and the whole restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. We will definitely be back!“

“This is a great spot for a special occasion. The ambiance is tough to beat -- a little swanky, a little romantic. We ate in the bar area in one of the horseshoe booths and it was such a cozy spot. Our servers, Monica and Luke, took good care of us. We both agreed that we over-ordered just a tad -- the food was delicious and we couldn't finish every bite even though we wanted to! My only negative is that for $17, the martini I ordered at the bar was a little on the small side...though I ordered the same drink at the table and that one came with a sidecar (extra from the shaker). In any case, we would definitely come back!“

“I ordered a gift card as a birthday present and there was a mix up (my end) in which they went over and above to correct for me. We don't live in Columbus but I can certainly see why my kids LOVE LawBird and their staff. We'll certainly make it a point to stop in on our next visit down.“

“We visited Columbus for a wedding and stopped in here for our last night before heading back. The atmosphere is so cozy and warm. Our bartender, Al, was absolutely fantastic and he truly made our night perfect. The drinks were amazing as well, Al was incredibly knowledgeable about all the gin carried in the bar. Next time we’re in Columbus we will most definitely be stopping in here.(Not to mention, the fanciest bathroom I’ve ever seen lol)“

“Nice bar with a relaxed modern atmosphere. You have to order everything at the bar and then bring it to your seating. I especially liked that there were 2 people playing chess and that the bartender came up with a non alcoholic cocktail I really enjoyed.“

“The drinks were amazing. I definitely recommend the Lavender Lady I wanted two! I also tastes the devil eggs, they were delicious & the white barbecue sauce was a nice touch. The avocado toast was good however I was not a fan of the corn nor the imitation egg. I have no complaints about our service. The ambiance was modern farmhouse. I loved how open everything felt. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.“

“This place hands down has the best cocktails. It’s where I would go if I’m looking to just have one really good drink. The service gets 3 stars only because it’s a super popular place and they could do with more bartenders! But the folks who have served me and my friends have always been very nice and knowledgeable!! 100% recommend this place if you haven’t been!!“

“I’ve never had a bad time at Eight and Sand. The food is beyond impressive and it is reasonably priced. You will not catch me missing the $1 wings every Tuesday and the veggie wrap is incredible. Don’t sleep on the weekly food specials they are always a tasty little surprise! Friendly outgoing staff all around, an awesome patio, and a chill vibe inside. It’s my very favorite bar, there isn’t another like it!“

“This place is a staple of Columbus as many of our musical pioneers choose it as a great venue to perform. In that regard, it is a SMALL venue, and a fairly intimate one. The atmosphere isn't "super posh" in any way, but it does have its own feel. Not quite a dive bar, not quite a nightclub, just a regular bar where you can get a drink, grab a bite (they have a FABULOUS Italian sub just slightly under the Big Don), and hear some good tunes. Great local musicians, sometimes karaoke, and some pool tables and dart boards.Parking: Plenty of room to park. You won't have an issue with that at all.“

“I am visiting from Boston and just happen to spontaneously tour the Ohio Statehouse. Here, I lunched at HouseTaco which locates inside the Statehouse itself. The food is quick and fresh. Chef Zach prepared the tacos on-site with passion. They were delicious! What a hidden gem!!!“

“Oh how could I NOT recommend?! From creative, always changing cocktails and mocktails, I can choose to drink or stay sober EASILY. There are SO MANY fun events here. From painting, poetry, music, karaoke, trivia, ect. It is a bar that can be completely family friendly if you have children. It's like walking into a magical place where you are immediately accepted and loved.“

“We waited 20 minutes beyond our reservation time to get seated, our waitress forgot app. plates, and didn't get utensils so we had to wait after our apps. came to flag her down. We constantly had to flag her for things because she never came to check on us. Food was good, but not up to its usual standard. It was Mother's Day, so I understood it was busy, but it was not up to the higher standard I expected from this restaurant specifically when you're spending the amount of money you spend on a meal there.“

“Service is a little slow if you aren't a regular. But it's a pretty laid back place. Most people there know each other, I like that part.Although one VERY drunk guy kept smelling us. HahahaDerby West is my go to and the bartenders at that location are great, friendly, and super Fun. Never had a big issue at either location. They are the Best!!!“
“"Be Nice To Each Other" -Sheila Ann SteuberHometown atmosphere with down to earth people. Relaxing and entertaining, known to many as the local Cheers! Everyone knows your name and are happy to see you! My mother loved this place and its owner until the day she died. “It has been years since I'm been to mouton, but I really liked it then, and it held up. Tons of yummy cocktails with every type of liquor. All of them came with nice garnishing (except the smoked drink which was a great presentation and smoky but was missing the marshmallow) which was very fun, we all liked the drinks we ordered. Love the atmosphere, very fun and inviting. Service was fine, at happy hour there was only one person working and they did great but obviously it took awhile to get drinks when there is only one person working. Hopefully will be back sooner.“

“The Oracle is one of my favorite bars in the city. I love the occult atmosphere, and when you walk in, it doesn't smell like booze, it smells like old books! I love that! During the warmer months I encourage you to visit the back yard there. The drinks are phenomenal, and I just cant say enough good things about this place.“

“Easy going space with upscale vibe. They have live music with various Iocal artists on Thursdays, 6-10pm. The service was great. The wine list was ok and they serve local drafts. The food offerings were a good variety for a hotel bar. Great for a date night or even a solo night on the town. There is paid street parking all around as well as a reasonably priced garage.“

“Very straightforward, From decor to the food selections, this is the best I've had since moving to Columbus in 2020. I stopped while working for the buffet and glad I Yelped! My favorites were the Fry Chicken, Gobi Pakora, Tandoori chicken (not what I'm used to but great flavors). I will definitely be back!“
