“Was in town for the 4/8 eclipse and stopped by here as it came highly recommended. They were slammed and seemed a bit frantic that they had run out of food. Despite that, they seated me and allowed me to order what they had left, the Foodhi Bahn Mi, which I wouldn’t have ordered or otherwise, but was actually pretty good! I had a delightful matcha latte as well. Thank you for letting me dine in when you were nearing closing and nearly out of food. I’ll come back if I’m in town again to try other menu items because they looked delicious! Prices are reasonable too!”

“Momo's Kebab is a great spot, located right on a street full of good food run by owners who obviously care a lot. The value for the food is also great - meals come with a fresh salad and a bread bowl. The salad is so fresh, it almost hurts to eat - the greens, vegetables, and feta are almost tart, they're so good. The platters are also great - I always get the meat. They have a great spice blend that doesn't dry the meat out at all, and it's perfectly cooked through without being overcooked at all. With dry spices, I'm always concerned that the meat will also be dry. Not here! Very juicy with a great meat flavor.Perhaps our favorite thing is their mint tea - sweet and refreshing. Definitely check it out!”

“AMAZING pizza and sandwiches, walking distance from my house. What could be better!!! I've had an Italian mixed meat deli sandwich, the bread was amazing and the sandwich was huge. Definitely two meals worth. The pizza is pillowy, Sicilian style, and they use the cup-and-char pepperoni. So happy that this new market is open!!!”

“Today was my first time here and I came with friends and my 5 year old son. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Sebastian! He was extremely patient with my son and went the extra mile with his food recommendations and making it kid-friendly. He also noticed which sauces I seemed to like the most and brought one that did not originally come with my meal. The food and atmosphere as wonderful in itself, but Sebastian made our first time here one to be remembered! Thank you to him!!”

“The place was very cool and the drinks were excellent. But the bartender watched us walk in and left. He went into the small kitchen and started doing dishes for 5 or 10 minutes before coming back to the bar to serve us a drink. Very odd to just leave people allowed in the bar like that. But he was friendly and made a great drink. Also we were the only ones there so bartender leaving didn't make any sense.”

“I discovered Rudy's Pub to be a charming establishment with its own unique character, and I can't wait to visit again. The food my son and I ordered was excellent, and the service was top-notch. I especially enjoyed the karaoke session , who made me feel right at home. If you're seeking a night out filled with fun and surrounded by good-hearted people, Rudy's Pub is the place to be! I'll definitely be returning.”

“The food was great, fresh, the fries were homemade, good atmosphere, but the only sauces they have are spicy ones, including the ranch. The only other downfall is the non-alcoholic drinks, no refills only glass bottles, staff was friendly so overall a good experience.”

“Great independent coffee shop - we stopped here because the bagel place down the street doesn't make espresso-based beverages on Sundays. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. Lots of comfy chairs and a sofa for folks who want to kick back, relax, and just take it all in. Coffees were tasty and well worth it! See you next time!”

“Coffee tasted good, but it still was an American version of espresso.Unfortunately they have no place to seat. They say that after 4:30 it’s takeout only. And there were limited options to compliment coffee with some quick bite”

“As the proud owner of grums for over 20 years I would like to respond to a recent review left by Luis A. Luis had been coming into our store quite often for the previous month and had consistently been rude to my employees to the point when they DREADED every time he can in. On the day he speaks of he ordered what he usually did. Me, the owner made his sandwich, put it in his bag and I handed it to him and said "have a good one buddy". He takes the bag and kinda lifts it up and down like he's a human scale and says "what is this?". I politely responded "that's your sandwich, that's what you ordered". He proceeds to say "this is too light". I said "I don't know what to tell you, I put everything in there like i have for the last 20 years". He responded by saying "I'm not paying for this". By this point he had already paid so I told the employee to give him his money back, then he walked out the door. He got the EXACT sandwich he ordered, he just didn't think it was heavy enough. After he left I told the other employees the next time he came in to tell him he wouldn't be served. He showed up a week later and my brother, the co owner told him we wouldn't serve him. Luis then tried to "big time" my brother and say who do I need to talk to and my brother politely informed him that he was one of the owners and there wasn't anyone who was going to change it. Combine having to throw the sandwich away along with his continuous awful attitude and being rude to our employees it was an extremely easy decision. I have never responded before to a negative review but this one was so delusional and absurd I felt the need to defend our store. As a quick side note, he is right about one thing. We do have a sign that says "we will not help you if you are on your phone, please hang up, then order". He says this is distasteful. I say distasteful is being rude and talking on your phone while someone is trying to help you and take your order.”

“Everyone here is so cool. Whenever I don't feel like going to funhouse (because we've been there a million times that month) and want another laid-back bar, Social Room is the go-to. The bartender knows my drink whenever I come in and she's so sweet and bubbly! The wait time is nonexistent, the patio is real cute, and there are a billion restaurants over here if you want food before or after drinks. Plenty of parking too, very stressfree experience overall.”

“It’s a cozy sports bar in a lively area of town. The food is great, and at a decent price. Th staff are pleasant and inviting, plus you’ll often find the owner himself working alongside the staff. It may not be the flashiest, but I can’t think of many places as welcoming as this!”

“I've driven past Vero probably 20+ times, but never set foot inside the establishment due to the intimidating lines I would always see forming outside. It's been on my try list for the longest time since it's the favorite restaurant of some of my friend in Cleveland. In my last trip to the city, I finally decided to brave the line to try to get a seat. We were quoted a 40 minute wait time a bit before 6, but we were in luck as a table cleared up within 5 minutes. Margherita ($24) - The crust (or rather the cornicione) is seriously amazing. It has a bit of a char, is bubbly with a very nice rise, superb bouncy chew, and yet also a tenderness that collapses when you take a bite. There are blackened spots on the cornicione, but there is no bitterness. It's sprinkled with sea salt, giving an extra salty bite in some areas - be a bit careful, some of the salt is in larger crystals and if bitten the wrong way, they can hurt your teeth. The inner crust area soaks up the tomato sauce and becomes floppy, but is delicious. The tomato sauce is very fresh, acidic, and sweet. There's fresh basil to give an herbal note and the mozzarella adds a great dairy milkiness. The toppings are perfectly proportioned and each ingredient is fresh and high quality, allowing the pure flavors really shine and stand out. If you don't like eating crust, you should probably avoid eating at Vero - it will save you both time and money. I only mention this because we saw another party throwing out the cornicione. (5/5) Sausage and Rapini ($26) - Again, a fantastic crust. The sausage is a bit spicy but adds much needed meaty flavors. The rapini adds some bitterness and sweetness and is cooked perfectly. There's a good amount of cheese as well. Since there isn't really any sauce here, we drizzled some olive oil on top to add moisture. (5/5) The pizzas are not cut for you, instead they provide a pair of pizza shears so you can cut the pizza to your liking. You can get pepper flakes, oil, or hot honey brought over to add to the pizza. We went with the oil. The olive oil is quite fresh and has a bit of a peppery kick as well as vegetal notes. They also serve a spicier olive oil that tastes kind of like hot buffalo sauce. One thing that could be improved is the oil dispenser bottle. The design they have allows a lot of drippage along the outer sides, which makes pools of olive oil on the table. Also it seems that the waiters will sometimes forget to offer condiments - the patrons at the table next to us asked if they could borrow our bottles as they were not given the option. We went to Citizen Pie the next day to do a comparison. Vero has by far the best cornicione and the toppings and construction are better. The taste of the Vero pizza is fresh and pure, while the taste of Citizen Pie is much more muddled in comparison. That's not to say that Citizen Pie is bad. In fact, it's pretty good. Vero is just better in most aspects. The pizzas at Vero are absolutely delicious, but it's not all roses here. According to reviews the restaurant was renovated and expanded over the last couple of months. I was researching menus and comparisons between Vero and other Neapolitan pizza shops around Cleveland and it seems like the prices at Vero immediately before the renovation were already on the higher end ($20 for margherita vs $13-$18 at other places). They rose 20% immediately after the renovation ($24), making them cost way more than the competition. The pizzas take forever to come out. I feel like Vero expanded the dining room but didn't increase throughput. There are two people in the back prepping the pizzas while only one person (I assume the owner) operates the oven. Our pizza took over 45 minutes to arrive and this wasn't a fluke; The patrons at the table beside ours complained loudly as they had finished their appetizers and wine and were still without pizza almost half an hour afterwards. The restaurant also has some odd music choices. They play really loud, booming music - I found it hard to hear”

“Another great restaurant by Cedar and Lee. We've been here twice in the past month after making the good decision to come here for a birthday celebration. The food is a bit pricey, but honestly, I don't mind - compared to times I've spent money on food that isn't worth it, this is far better! The staff are friendly and helpful - Ishmael was our first waiter and had great recommendations (can't remember our second guy, but he was great, too!). We've had the moussaka, filet mignon kebabs, an assortment of hot and cold appetizers, and some great desserts. The entree's are generously portioned, cooked perfectly medium rare, and not overwhelmingly seasoned. The feta and olive appetizer is probably our favorite app - so fresh! I also recommend their sangria - they mentioned they soak the fruit in the wine, and it's so good! This place is a must-visit for great food, ambiance, and apps. Can't recommend enough!”

“In the dimly lit heart of Cleveland Heights, there exists a sanctuary for the night's most zealous seekers, The Tavern Company. This isn't your garden-variety watering hole; it's a haven where the spirits flow as freely as the conversations, and the air vibrates with the potential for madness. Tuesday nights transform this joint into a coliseum of intellect, where trivia becomes the gladiatorial sport of choice. Teams huddle, whispering strategies over pints, their eyes alight with competitive fire. Here, amidst the clink of glasses and the triumphant shouts of victors, lies the essence of what it means to truly engage with the pulse of the city. The Tavern Company doesn't just serve drinks; it brews a potent mixture of camaraderie, challenge, and sheer, unadulterated joy.”

“My friend picked Taste for her birthday dinner. It's a small, cute spot that had live piano music playing, which I really enjoyed. Like most places, they were understaffed, so everyone was running around like crazy. The wine list was great. My friend asked for a mocktail. They made a drink that was basically fancy orange juice, but it was nice of them to try to do something for her! It's definitely one of those cozy places where you are basically on top of your table neighbors, and you can either hear their conversations or you can't hear anything because it's so loud in there. My crab stuffed salmon was amazing! I really enjoyed the mushroom risotto. The roasted zucchini it came with was also delicious. My friend enjoyed the lasagna. I am picky about my red sauces, so I wasn't a big fan personally. But that's just me! Despite the busy night and the lack of a host, the service never really lacked, and it was an overall good experience. My friend said she probably wouldn't go back because the menu was small and she didn't like how loud, but overall, it's worth the visit, in my opinion.”

“We love High Thai'd, our favorite Thai place in Cleveland! My wife loves Thai food and since moving to Cleveland we've tried so many places all over the greater Cleveland area and nothing has been as consistently delicious as High Thai'd by a longshot! The country pad thai is seasoned exactly to my liking and unlike most Thai places we've been to, the meat is full of flavor and delicious! The noodle dishes are also packed with flavor. “So I came here and I was craving pho and sticky rice, and I didn't want to drive all the way downtown to my usual spot but after my visit I can say I was very happy with the quality and service. The place could use a little sprucing but the service was great and I know bc I asked talked to them about 6 times for little things and from my understanding they didn't seem to mind but I felt bad, they did great I just wanted extra sauces, to go orders, and adding tripe to my pho lol. The pho bowl was a little to small for me but you can put a lid on it and take it home which is cool, the crab Ragoon was really good and creamy, the fried chicken so good and crispy, the sticky rice was sadly tough:( But my bf is really picky but he really enjoyed it here, even though he wasn't looking forward to it.”

“The beer is good. The food quality is inconsistent; sometimes it's good, sometimes it's mediocre, and sometimes it's bad. Tonight the food was mediocre. The grilled chicken wings had no char on them; the skin was rubbery. yuck. The chicken sandwich was all heat with no flavor. No crisp. The bun was flavorless. Mediocre at best. The best part of the meal was the French fries. They were hot with just the right amount of salt. Our server was good. It was obvious they were understaffed and he really hustled. I'll come back for a beer but will go elsewhere for dinner.”
