“Astoria is a fun place for brunch that I've been told is a good place to meet your friends from the far side of town. I'd definitely recommend reservations. The dining area is on the small side and there was a pretty big line when we left. That being said, the staff were really friendly, service was great, and I've been dreaming of that fried chicken. We had the full brunch beverage array - water, coffee, and a fun drink. The menu isn't huge, but everything looked good, and there are some intriguing boards I'd like to sample. I had the chicken and biscuit, and the chicken was fantastic. I'm sure the biscuit was good, too, but I was pretty honed in on the chicken. The skin SNAPS when you bite it! So good! The food was well seasoned, and the staff were really nice about letting us take our time, even on a busy day.“

“Amazing filet Mignon! Do not I repeat DO NOT add sauce as the meat with a pinch of Black Sea salt is amazing just the way it is. I’ve never had a beautifully cooked medium filet stay warm all the way thru the eating experience..Bottomline wow!“

“Fabulous French restaurant. Concierge at a local hotel tells me there's a good French restaurant within walking distance. In Cleveland? OK... I went in. Sat at the bar. Great service. Great bartender. Get a whiskey. I take a look at the menu. And then it hits me. I am sitting in some corner of Cleveland and this is a LEGIT good French restaurant. Really. Cleveland. And yes people I do know my way around French restaurants. From Le Bernadin in NYC to the French family kitchens to every sort of Parisian restaurant from high to low. I had a fabulous glass of Chinon wine, authentically French. The sommelier knew his stuff. A+ And among other things I tried the vegetarian cassoulet. And it worked, with a nice mix of sweet potatoes and mushrooms along with the classic cassoulet flavor. Inventive. Great menu, great wines and cocktails. Friendly staff. L'Albatros is terrific. Five stars. Congrats. *****“

“What a find! We were looking for a steakhouse close to Tower City and decided to venture out and try Batuqui. The intimate atmosphere and spectacular food, service and ambience make this a must-repeat on our next visit to Cleveland. Steak, lamb, and piping hot coalho cheese... I highly recommend this unique place for anyone who loves steak and anything else Brazilian.“

“Fantastic dinner! We had one of the best caesar salads ever! The rosemary bread is so dense and moist and delish. The fettuccine with eggplant, garlic snd tomatoes was excellent! The calamari was cooked perfectly - so tender. Portions are very generous and we were full so we didn't get dessert. Service was excellent. Nice ambiance. Definitely eat here!! I will be back!!“

“We were in town for Final Four and happened upon this restaurant as we were walking back to the hotel. Will Bolduc and Owner Nick Kostis were so very welcoming and gracious hosting our large group. The service was top notch and the food was scrumptious. We were greeted by everyone there with heartfelt hellos and congratulations for the championship game. If you are ever in the area, this is an absolute MUST STOP for you! Thank you Mr. Kostis... as you said, BE KIND in everything you do... I will never forget how you made my Paopao family & I feel while we were there! Thank you!!!“

“Best pizza in Cleveland. These dudes know what's good. Clean. Real pizza. Perfect char on the crust. Perfect topping sauce ratio. Perfect dough that gets an amazing rise in the cornice and stays surprisingly thin where it should. Chewy, complex flavor, expertly done. This pizza should go compete in Italy... Like for real. Not sure if the two that are always working here are the owners but they are truly dedicated, talented, amazing dudes. The best. The absolute best. I don't know if anyone likes pizza more than me, but I do know I don't like anyone's pizza more than theirs. Please never change, guys.“

“I got a small salmon poke bowl the other day for $12 and it was fantastic! I agree with a previous review - they give a small portion of rice compared to the amount of toppings, but personally this is such a win because it always sucks thinking you got a big bowl of food only to find it half-filled with rice. I really appreciated the unlimited toppings for no extra charge too, because you can really customize it however you want! For being one of very few poke bowl spots in Cleveland, I was impressed with the quality and service Corner 11 provided. They were so nice, even when their credit card machine wasn't working, and the space itself is a decent size to sit down and eat, with a variety of regular, high-top, and outdoor seating options. On summer days I can see this being a great option to grab a bowl to go and heading across the street to hang out at Lincoln Park! As is most other restaurants in the area, this place is street-parking only, but it wasn't too hard for me to find a spot. I'll definitely be back to try out their boba and ramen and get myself another poke bowl when the cravings hit!“

“Top Indian restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of having, I’ve tried dozens of Indian restaurants in my life and this is up there to compare to. I had the butter chicken and Chana masala and it was so full of flavor. The butter chicken was so creamy and addictive I can drink the sauce and the chicken was so tender. Most places can’t cook their chicken breast correctly when they add it to their sauce but wow this was just easy to cut through with a spoon and just paired perfectly with the savoriness of the butter chicken. The Chana masala was flavor packed and I just can’t get enough, I legit ate myself into a coma. 10/10 must try like right now, go!“

“We were in Cleveland for a concert, and found this little gem upon the recommendation of a very nice woman we met. Our GPS originally took us to the wrong establishment, but we were only a block off and found it quickly after the mix-up. Luis was our server, and not only was he helpful, but he was extremely personable. We will be back - both for the food, and for the warm and welcoming atmosphere therein.“

“The seafood risotto was delightful. Finally, a quiet restaurant where I didn't have to shout or constantly ask for my company to repeat what they said ( I am ~45 and have not lost my hearing yet). My companion ordered the pork dish and was happy with the fact that the gorgonzola was not overpowering. Good replacement for Luca ( used to be my favorite) as I have not been happy with them lately. Will go back. Hopefully, it is just as good next time.“
“Went to Midnight 20th anniversary and got my face torn off. Venua was cool bands were great! Loud clear and a great mosh pit!! “Amazing walnut raisin levain. Delicious taste and plenty of walnuts. Street parking. “Had lunch here with some friends and really enjoyed the cheddar soup. The pretzel wasn't great as I was hoping it would be softer and a bit more flavorful. The pierogies were also a bit different than I expected as they were a bit thicker noodle wise than I'm used to. The flavor inside was decent though. Also tried one of these beers and it was quite delicious.“

“Everything is great but sucked that I had to go back inside after leaving from picking up a take out order because they forgot sour cream. The lady said the quesadilla doesn’t come with it but I said it was on the menu. She went back and got a little blob of it but literally held it from me saying “I’m going to have to confirm that the menu says that or else I’m going to have to charge you.” Like cool story I guess I look like a liar. After they pulled the menu on their phones and said “I guess it does say that on the menu” I got my little blob. Y’all would have charged for this?“

“I needed to take a break from dairy and tried out their seasonal Vegan Chocolate Cookie Butter Ice Cream and it is, hands down, the best ice cream I've ever had, dairy or non-dairy! There were five people in our party and everyone was happy with their choices, which is unbelievably rare. I had to take a picture because less than 5 minutes after purchase, I was almost done. “This place is adorable, from the hobbit-hole-esque front door to the hand thrown mugs that the beverages come in. It's a very artsy hang out down Murray Hill in Little Italy. The tea and pastries were delicious and really well priced. My friend and I each had a chai, and I had a piece of the baklava. The chai tea came out as a lightly sweetened chai latte, that was made from real tea. So good! We were charmed by the mugs and really enjoyed the interior and the vibes. This is the kind of place you can go with friends and stay for a while. I have the feeling this is a popular and underrated breakfast spot, too! I intend to come back after a class at CLE Yoga. Note - mostly street parking with an itty bitty parking lot in the back.“

“Best shaved ice I've ever had in my life. The buns are all soft and fluffy and comforting. I had the egg and turkey buns, the green onion bun and the mango tart, while taking a few bites of my friend's taiwanese shaved ice. I've been back a good probably 8 or so times since I began writing this review a couple months ago, and I can't stay away. Every time I go I grab a handful of warm, chewy buns and the taiwanese shaved ice with mango, strawberry, and mango jelly. The service is always quick, even when there is the occasional line to the door, and the buns are self service so you can just grab as many as you'd like and check out! I can not possibly recommend the shaved ice enough, in my opinion it easily beats out ice cream as the most refreshing summer snack.“

“I come here every year when I go to CL. It is absolutely fantastic. Every time the server is very friendly and kind. We order a make your own bowl and they have countless options to choose from with tags. The food is so so SO tasty and very filling. They have so many smoothies too and they are so good. Everything is a very reasonable and affordable price compared to other trash restaurants like Dunkin and Starbucks which take 6$ for one small drink made up of sugar and ice water. If i could give this place over 100 stars I would.“

“I last came to Larder years ago back in 2018 or so and getting the Tuesday lunch special - $5 Chicken Sandwiches. I remember it being the best fried chicken sandwich I had ever had in my life - huge juicy thigh meat covered in a crunchy doubled fried exterior. Since then, Larder has been winning awards left and right. Since we were visiting Cleveland, I was so excited to visit Larder again and get their delicious sandwich. Unfortunately we came on a bad day - the previous night, a severe thunderstorm had knocked out the fryer and vents and Larder had to remove all of their fried items from the menu. They also were having oven troubles, so they ended up opening 30 minutes late. We got there over 30 minutes before they opened and a line of people started forming already. Pastrami Reuben ($18) - This is not your typical pastrami; this is thick, 1 cm cut savory salty pastrami, cut kind of like corned beef. The bark is still attached which is soft in some portions but crisp in others. ??? skome flavor??The meat is super tender and easy to eat. There's a thin layer of flavorful fat in some areas. There's cabbage slaw added on the bottom which adds a nice tang to balance out the fatty and meat of the pastrami. Thousand island spread on the top and bottom slices of bread adds additional moisture and sweetness. Everything is placed in the middle of two perfectly toasted slices of rye. Babka ($9) - Absolutely chock full of chocolate, the bread is pretty dense and rich. Pieces of crumbs easily flake off when you're eating this. There's some cinnamon mixed with the chocolate. If I'm ever back in town, I would get the chicken sandwich for the nostalgia.“

“Love margaritas? Love guacamole? Love Momocho! Momocho is the place to go if you are looking for a modern take on Mexican, a flight of margaritas, or a flight of guacamole. Yes, I said a flight of guacamole. Try it. Trust me. My friend and I sat at the bar, which is full service. I had a flight of margaritas and chose the blood orange, hibiscus, and pomegranate. For our flight of guacamole, we tried the goat cheese, the crab, and the peppercorn. For some reason we thought we needed more food, so I ordered the chile relleno and my friend ordered the camarones tacos. Excellent, excellent food. I am going to have to return to Cleveland soon so I can come back here! If you haven't been: be aware that there is a parking lot, but it is very small and fits about 8 cars, so you may have to look for street parking. There is some outside seating, some inside, and a little at the bar.“

“Had a party of 12 and they were able to serve us reasonably quickly. We had the calamari which was pretty good and crispy. I had the bolognese which was okay tasted a bit bland compared to the other dishes. The chicken Marsala was also okay, the sauce tasted a bit too sweet instead of having a more savory flavor. The gnocchi with shrimp was probably the best dish as well as the mussels, clams, and lobster ravioli. Eggplant Parmesan also looked great and was well liked by the crowd. Overall the whole group enjoyed the food and had a fantastic time at the restaurant. Also the parking is free and is “valet” but we ended up parking the car ourselves, finding parking in the little Italy is impossible so this made life easy.“

“We went to Mason's Creamery on the Sunday before the eclipse and got Eclipse Shakes. So fun! The place was busy, so it took us a while to get our treats, but the crowd was in a festive mood and the servers were hustling, so we didn't mind the wait at all. We were lucky enough to snag an inside table for the four of us, which provided for excellent people watching. The Eclipse Shake itself was worth the wait, as we knew it would be. All of Mason's ice cream treats are top notch. This novelty shake was lemon cream ice cream blended into a shake and topped with black-dyed vanilla whip cream. Nom nom nom!
