“I made a reservation and we were seated in a reasonable time for it being Mothers Day. Waitress was busy but came to us and explained she would be right back. Fish was hot but fries were Luke warm like they had been sitting for a bit. Our waitress got me a small plate of hot fries, even though I tried to tell her not to worry. She was exceptional. Overall food was good, service was better, and we will be back as we always have a good meal and good service here.“

“Really cool bar . Has a big dance floor . Drinks are priced well . Went for a movie premiere for a sip of sasha and they had a cocktail based off the leading actress. It tasted amazing not too sweet . The bathrooms were decently sized and there’s a patio when you need to smoke or get some air . The bartender was very nice .“

“Dinner with our Cali family, decided to give Barrel & Boar a try. The restaurant is set in a very nice location. We actually went during prom season. Lots of beautifully dressed teens taking pics near the fountain feature. Pretty cool ambiance for the restaurant and service was okay. The food for the most part was great, special shoutout to the cauliflower soup! The greens were a bit too sweet for everyone's taste. One note to our waitress: NEVER reheat a customer's coffee, brew a new pot!“

“I saw your sister in a cornerstone, on the phone with the middle man.. when I saw her she was all alone, and I thought she might understand. She was close, well you couldn’t get much closer. She said “I’m really not supposed to,” “but yes, you can call me anything you want.” ?“

“I needed a place to just relax and unwind and read my book after an afternoon at the BMV. I'd seen this place on a list of "best dive bars in the city", and I figured I'd check it out since I live 5 mins away and have never been. And the vibe was perfect for what I needed. It's not hip, it's not fancy, but it's comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely be back sometime, especially if I ever get brave enough for karaoke!“

“Their waffle breakfast sandwiches are definitely my favorite. They have the hulk, with sausage, bacon, eggs, and cheese, or the juggernaut, which is the same thing but with fried chicken and pepper jack cheese. You could also get the versus option, which comes with one of each if you want to try both. This sandwich is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The potatoes on the side are really good as well with a slight crispiness and butter on top. Their homemade lemonade also adds a refreshing touch to the meal. If you want more of a standard breakfast, the platter is also a great option with your choice of meat, waffles, eggs, and hashbrowns. You can always upgrade to red velvet waffles, which are delicious. You might have a bit of a wait on the busy weekends but it's worth it. The servers are also very sweet and service is pretty quick.“

“I see they have locations around town; I've been to other seafood boil places but I don't think to any of theirs. Strip-mall, unassuming from the outside, dark and "nautical" on the inside. Nice, not fancy. No frills- because you are going to be making a mess. Paper on the tables, rolls of paper towels handy. I got the basics, their standard boil, L1 I think: shrimp (no heads but peel 'em,) crab (crack 'em,) sausage, with an egg and corn cob and a potato. I could easily have eaten another corn and egg, and the potato came in handy, along with the other extras, to take a break between shoveling seafood in my mouth. Got their house seasoning, which seems like a cross between Old Bay and garlic butter. Went with medium spice; I like heat, but you just never know from place to place. They brought the bag, plus a bucket and bib and gloves. I used the bib as a precaution but would have been okay without it, perhaps by sheer luck. Gloves helped. They brought a cracker and a normal fork; I asked for a skinny fork and they brought one. Loads of food, perfectly cooked. Tender big shrimp, crab with a decent amount of meat in the legs and knuckles, lots of pretty good sausage. The flavor, and the heat, seemed lacking at first. But they both built along the way, either just in my mouth or from the food sitting in the liquid. Mmm. Very good. The heat ended up lower than a medium, I would say. But I like spice so YMMV. I would go up a notch or two next time. Service was friendly and fast, though minimal. I came right when they opened and was the only one there for a bit. Expensive, but it's seafood and a lot of it. Not quite as good as the best boil places I've been to, but pretty good, and I left stuffed with good food.“
