“The Barn is a different Cameron Mitchell restaurant. The food overall is excellent. A couple of the side dishes were a little over salted. The service was great. However, I would suggest if making a reservation o the weekend opt to ask for dining room area rather than bar area. The energy is nice, but it was so loud, couldn't hear the person across the table . Even the waiter had to raise his voice to be heard by all the people in our party of 6. The steaks were excellent, cooked perfectly and the pork chop ordered by my son was absolutely delicious per him. A really nice piece of meat.“

“Dinner with our Cali family, decided to give Barrel & Boar a try. The restaurant is set in a very nice location. We actually went during prom season. Lots of beautifully dressed teens taking pics near the fountain feature. Pretty cool ambiance for the restaurant and service was okay. The food for the most part was great, special shoutout to the cauliflower soup! The greens were a bit too sweet for everyone's taste. One note to our waitress: NEVER reheat a customer's coffee, brew a new pot!“

“This place never leaves me disappointed. Huge menu and the food is darn good. Always great service and the food always comes out so fast even when they are busy. Today they had a “kids eat free” promo and I felt obligated to leave a review because the food and service was so good… They even had some crafts to do outside where my daughters made some bead bracelets. A staff member even came out and helped. Five star experience.“

“While, in Columbus this past week I remembered the Hickory house. I visited the Reynoldsburg location and it was just as I had remembered it, a very rustic looking restaurant well suited to the menu. I ordered the full rack of ribs with a salad and house dressing, and baked potato. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The ribs were literally fall off the bone tender. No sauce was presented with the dinner, but there was no need for it. The perfect amount of barbecue sauce was glazed onto the ribs. I'm sure I'll return again sometime when I'm in the area.“

“I am visiting from Boston and just happen to spontaneously tour the Ohio Statehouse. Here, I lunched at HouseTaco which locates inside the Statehouse itself. The food is quick and fresh. Chef Zach prepared the tacos on-site with passion. They were delicious! What a hidden gem!!!“

“I think if I just ate the pork ribs, I would have rated the food a 5. They were fall off the bone good, and today they only cost $2 per bone. The brisket was ok. Not bad, just not great. They don't have a soda fountain, which is different, but they have a selection of bottled drinks. 3 sauces to choose from, which was nice.“

“In search of the best bbq in Columbus, stopped by Hanks BBQ in Clintonville at Crestview and North High Street. First, I had to laugh because Hank's is in the old Pizza Hut building that I used to hang out in high school. So much better decor inside but it was the first time I had been in there in many years. Ordered the three meat plate of beef brisket, bbq ribs, and pulled pork with Cole slaw and potato salad on the side. The brisket and pulled pork were heaven. Brisket was moist and juicy with a nice crust. Pulled pork was a wonderful taste especially with the bbq sauce. The ribs were meaty but the seasoning was just ok for me. Cole slaw and potato salad were ok. Would have liked a bit more kick to them. All in all, I loved the meats. I really wanted to try the 1/2 bbq chicken but they were out. Bbq chicken is one of my test meats when I try someone's bbq.“

“Brought my whole family here thought to try something new. Was greeted on entry by the manager. He was very friendly and super helpful. Restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. The Brisket sandwich was great. My kids got the ribs and those were awesome as well. Would definitely recommend.“

“I loved bb.q Chicken Columbus! This was my first experience with Korean fried chicken. The chicken was covered in thin crispy batter bubbles that shattered in your mouth. The chicken was not only juicy, but the sauces that coat each piece elevate the explosion of flavor. We ordered the cheeseling, Gangnam and honey garlic chicken with a side of tteokbokki. The cheeseling was the most unique chicken flavor I've ever had. The chicken was covered in a cheesey dust, a coating so heavy that you have to be careful about inhaling too close to the wing. It took me a second to appreciate the flavor because it was so unique, but I feel in love quickly. In addition to the cheeseling chicken, I loved the tteokbokki. The consistency of the sauce was so velvety, it was almost like gravy. Even though it was spicy, it was rich in flavor that was sweet and tangy.“

No inside tables. They have created a grassy park area with five tables, so you can eat there... but we always carry away and eat at home. They have brisket, pulled pork, chopped pork, smoked sausage links, and jerk chicken sandwiches, cauliflower burnt ends, ribs and wings on sat/sun. They have lots of sides and the best cole slaw! Smelling it for 15 minutes made me sooooo hungry I completely forgot to take pictures. Nom nom nom. Sorry. We ordered a brisket sammy and a jerk sammy. Both had SO MUCH meat. Tasted great. Worth the price. Worth the trip. The jerk sandwich is made with chicken thighs. They stack two on top of each other. Its a LOT of meat and it is seasoned so nicely. The bun--I have t seen any like it in the local markets. In think its an onion bun. They must get a baker to make them. It adds to the sandwich. Good choice RayRay! Oh and RayRays gave me a pup cup full of brisket for my doggo who sat outside sniffing all the smells. Thank you so, thoughtful. Loki the tiny dog says it was delicious.
