“Decided to try this place since it's kind of close to my work, and all the other sushi places around have been kind of disappointing (either too expensive or lacking quality). I got a California roll and an order of gyoza - calling it in was more cost effective than using Grub Hub/Door Dash etc. Service was super fast, prices AWESOME, and food was delicious! So much so, I ordered it two days in a row. Very impressed with this place, and I will without a doubt be back again.“
“A fabulous cart in Milwaukie with creative and delicious sushi burritos. Great portion size and fresh ingredients, also fast turn around time. I usually order to go and have always been very happy with my service. During the summer time I'm sure the patio area is a great spot to enjoy their goodies. Definitely give this spot a try when you've got a sushi craving!“

“Life is short! Please treat yourself kindly and get a reservation to this place! I sat at the sushi bar and I really enjoyed watching the master chef skillfully prepare some exquisite food, every action was like carefully orchestrated! Not only did he have to create an edible delicacy out of chunky piece of fish, but also turn it into a piece of art, from selecting the plate, to adding all the fine details onto the fish, the subtle flavors and the harmony! And I got to watch it all happen in front of my eyes! This place is near where I live, so the situation is quite dangerous now, lol!“

“First of all, wow! Best poke bowls I’ve ever had. My friend and I came here and ordered the Tomyum Salmon Poke and the Aburi Salmon Don, along with some baked mussels. The fish is so fresh and they even give you free miso soup with every bowl and a little utensil bag with a hand towel and toothpick. I also recommend the onigiri (perfect snack). I’ll definitely be back soon!“

“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.“

“Real deal! I know everyone compliments poke on being fresh but this is like, fresher-than-fresh. Perfect flavors - wonderful amount of seasoning that leaves room for the fresh fish to shine. Healthy portions. Wonderfully friendly woman working there. Can't wait to go back ❤️“

“Highly recommend the food. The service staff seem to be evolving and not particularly well trained. Our server was ten days old. Part of the order forgotten. But, when asked about items on the menu, “I really don't know” was the standard answer. But you can trust this, everything was so fresh and yummy.“

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“We got two basic rolls and two of the specialty rolls. The basic rolls were really good. The specialty rolls seemed a bit high priced for how basic they tasted. The service was nice but pretty slow. The presentation was beautiful, and the table components were adorable!“

“stopped by for late lunch and tried their bento based on the great reviews (lunch pricing ends at 3pm). the food was super fresh and yummy! ordering is via QR code on the tables. the server was kind and checked on us. sashimi and sushi were fresh. the spicy chicken serving was probably twice the size of what i usually get in a bento. i ended up bringing most of the chicken & rice home and had them for dinner. this meal fed me all day!“

“Seen a lots of places come and go from this spot over the last 20 years and Suko is by far my favorite! I hope they stay for a loooong while. The green life with salmon is my favorite role anywhere, period. The fish is always great quality and the noddles are tasty! They are always so kind and provide excellent service even when they are busy. Thank you Suko!“

“Service was lovely and quick. I chose to sit outside. They have a little parking lot which is nice but also nice to get takeout and order ahead! Per some other yelpers suggestions, I ordered the nigiri lunch set C - you get a choice of half a roll, too. I chose the spicy tuna (which was not a chopped situation). All in all the fish was fresh and plentiful. I was only slightly disappointed that my rice was falling apart and the outside tables were really sticky. I will be back, though - likely for takeout.“

“My partner and I have eaten here for a while now. Service is fast and friendly. They also serve boba tea a la April's Tea House, a little tea shop that they also run next door! My go-to are their California Rolls and their gyudon. A must try if you're in the Pearl District!“

“The guy behind the counter forgot to pack my rice in the to-go bag the other day and ran out into the parking to flag me down to give it to me. I feel like a lot of places today wouldn’t even bother. The service is great and the food is quite good. I’ve never had a bad experience from this restaurant.“

“We ordered thru UberEats. While UberEats won’t rectify any issues you might have, I called the restaurant, and they explained how they were able to accommodate an allergy. The food was delicious! We will be back. My kids loved the seared salmon donut., and the banana B-ritto. I had the treasure roll and a bowl with mixed fish. We got wasabi mayo sauce, chili sauce and another orange mayo- delicious. We kinda stuffed ourselves, to be honest. (And they use paper goods to wrap their food instead of plastic.) thank you!“

“Everything. This is not just going to dinner. This is a dining experience. It’s a small reserved venue. Yes it’s spendy, but worth every penny. You’ll try food you never thought you try. The mostly seafood menu it so well prepared. Plus you can watch the prepared each course. A fun night.“

“The food here is incredible. The quality of the fish is incredibly high and the attention to detail is spot on. Dont forget to get the cauliflower appetizer, probably some of the best cauliflower I've ever had. Smoky, spicy with a hint of nuttiness/sweetness. The hamachi sashimi was my favorite, highly recommend!“

“WOW! This place made me feel like I was back in Japan. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. The service was fantastic. We stumbled upon this restaurant while craving udon noodles after a Spa day. It was the best Udon I’ve ever had and I am quite the udon connoisseur.I must also mention our server. I didn’t catch her name, but she was a delight. She made us feel like we were at home.I got rice balls as an appetizer, which were perfect and the udon the traditional way with plum wine. The plum wine was VERY good! We bought a bottle and it ended up being from Kobe, which is where my mother used to live, so we got very excited. They even have the traditional Japan seating arrangements. I cannot wait to go back!Lastly, they have gluten free noodle options. However, if you have celiac disease then unfortunately it is not a safe option for you. They cook the GF noodles with the regular in water. Our wonderful server was knowledgeable about celiac and was able to give us reliable information on their kitchen prep.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free noodle options. Not safe for celiac, cooked in same water as regular noodles.“

“I would love to give this place five stars. They're are often not open during their scheduled business hours. I've been here multiple times in the last few weeks at 12:00, which is when they say they open yet they are closed. I'm sitting here right now at 12:15 and their food truck is closed.“

“Mirakutei is one of our go-to’s for sushi, and never disappoints. This last time though, we ordered take out, and although it was delicious, one of our rolls was incorrect. I’m not even sure which one they gave us, but it was supposed to be the Burnside Bridge Roll. Kinda disappointed we got something we didn’t ask for.“

“This is budget sushi at its finest packed into a charming and humble little hole in the wall establishment. The sushi is so cheap, usually this price will get u sushi I would t eat, but it’s okay and the most expensive roll is like $11!! Their kid serves food and sometimes complains to his mom in Chinese, idk what’s being said but it’s cute and I like the vibe. The lady who prepares the sushi (his mom) is a good at making sushi, and very friendly. I had a great time. I want to go back to learn more about the lady who makes the sushi. I reccomend the shrimp tempura roll, I’ve never one so fresh and warm before. 5/5 experience.“

“Place that gets all the details just right. Perfectly cooked and seasoned sushi rice. The rolls are elaborate but the ingredient quality is sky high - the radishes taste fresh, the Wasabi is fresh ground, the soy sauce is clearly sourced with thought. You can taste the attention to detail. If you like something that doesn't try to hide behind gobs of sauce or layers of deep fried tempura - you'll love this spot.“
