“I was pleasantly surprised by this place after trying many other sushi spots in East Vancouver. They had a good assortment of rolls, nigiri, and a small list of cooked items.What we had was very good quality at a reasonable price. My wife had the lunch special with 2 rolls, salad, and soup. I had a sushi combo. The soup was perfect with noticeable kombu flavor. The cucumber salad was tasty. Sushi and the rolls were well made and the fish was good though not the highest quality. (But good quality, still).Service was prompt and efficient.Go here if you crave sushi and don't want to break the budget.“

“This is one of my husband and my long-time favorite sushi restaurants. The staff here is so nice and accommodating. The food is made to fresh when ordered; no conveyor belt! My go-to items to order are the edemame, veggie roll, veggie tempura, and sesame balls. My husband loves the Monkey and Dragon rolls.“

“This is Vancouver's best sushi restaurant. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. I ordered calamari, gyoza, tempura shrimp, and egg rolls for appetizers .For the main course we ordered the Sashimi combo. Various tuna, red snapper,and salmon nigiri. “Wagya is the BEST sushi place in Vancouver. We've tried literally every other sushi joint in the area as far north as Battleground, but we will ALWAYS come back to Wagya!The sashimi is consistently fresh and delicious. The rolls are perfectly portioned. The Thai tea is always a hit! The vegetable tempura is so good with their in-house dipping sauce and you get a huge basket of veggies. The salmon kama is also great. We're never disappointed.The staff are so wonderful and keep the place clean and decorated. You can even order from them on a delivery app and it will still be fresh!“

His sushi was great and he made sure to let us know not to over order because the size of the rolls is pretty substantial, which is fantastic as a family on a budget! “Really surprised to see such low ratings and such few recent reviews which are actually relevant. This is my household's go-to spot for sushi. We come from Orchards for it. We know and love sushi; some might even call us sushi snobs. We descend as a household unit upon this place, and we do not come to play. Fact is, we eat like hogs here. This is damn good sushi, folks! The service is fast and pleasant. The sushi is always fresh. Years ago, this was a conveyor belt-style joint; it hasn't been that way for a long time now. I am knocking off one star only for decor as the place could use a refresh; however, it's all very clean every time we go. This place deserves better than these old, stale reviews. Give 'em a try next time you're way out east. You won't be disappointed.“
